I'm 99% sure Eve was made to tagteam with Syphax constantly. Though as far as I know, she's the fastest PC with the highest potential DPS outside of GMPCs if set up correctly.

Unless it's a story written by Reki Kawahara (SAO and Accel World), Speed doesn't automatically equals damage, or combat skill. That's just something I need to tell you.

Artoria: Super fucking broken compared to the other PCs, but still not enough to meaningfully affect the battlefield. Putting all her power behind an attack, with type advantage and the supposedly stolen powers of a Faction Leader, is enough to block about a tenth of an attack of a faction leader who is also doing like five other things in the same turn across the entire battlefield.

Hey, I though that this deal had already gotten explained. She can blow up a nice hole on the factory. The only thing I don't want to is that whatever you do with Artoria doesn't end up blowing the whole KC-00032 in one attack. If it wasn't for Artoria the demons would probably be losing even harder.

I mean, the main reason for that is because a RL steel production plant is huge (as in several square kilometers huge). KC-00032 being a beefed up fantasy version of them (like everything on the Nexus), must be the around half of the size of a place like Manhattan (The external parts cover about the same amount of terrain. It's a huge industrial complex, so blowing it up in one go is a bit disproportionate.

I hope that this sense of scale helped you people envisioning things the same way as I do.

Just asking out of curiosity, since I had an interesting idea here. Can I have a Dead Apostle Master? I'm fancying a vampire idea, but it won't be fun to go ahead and do it without knowing.

Now that I think about it, this is probably the main reason why the Machina never win anything. The Angels do Deva's biding and tend to cooperate. The Demons may bitch around but generally do as they are told and act with some tactics (usually).

The Machina on the other hand, don't even follow some simple commands from Eos and always act on the every man for himself mode.

There's also a small bit of an issue that Lillian is inside the factory (acting against Eos' orders of helping the troops outside), while most of the Machina troops are outside.

After Ciel put a barrier there, she basically cut any routes for Lillian to exit or anyone else to get inside, so the only ones she can interact with are Eos and Shizuka (if she can catch up to their location).

I am planning on posting soon, it is just I am not quite sure what to do with Finis right now. I feel like he wouldn't be opposed to starting a conversation with someone, however he is not much for small talk. As for the shared quarters things, I don't think he would sleep in his actual private quarters, or in beds or mats in general.

As long as he realizes that sleeping anywhere that's not the place appointed to him is against the military code and that he'll get punished for that, he can do what he wishes.

As for options on what to do, talking isn't the only thing. There's nothing preventing him from walking around to verify, say, the stables, or the kitchen, etc. The only thin holding you is your imagination.

You have some free roam time for now, so enjoy it while you can. I'll reply and describe stuff as you interact with things around you.

By the way, I know that this may have escaped your perception up to now, mostly because I didn't make much of it yet, but the setting is kind of a science fantasy one. There's magitech around, even if people still fight with swords and bows. All the way up to and including final fantasy-esque airships.

I'll try to make this more noticeable from now on, but I just wanted to leave a note so that you can get the feel of wonderment that I'm thinking of.

Anyway, I hope that you are liking things up to now. If there's anything that you want/like to do, people tell us and we'll do all that we can to make it happen.

The first rays of the morning sun would herald the end of the Cadets' struggle. Despite all the harshness of the previous night, they reached the ancient ruins that marked the entrance of the village of Orello and, beyond it, the fortress. It didn't took long for a patrol to cross the Cadets' way and take them straight to Fort Orello, where they would receive any medical treatment need and have some warm food and a common room with a fireplace waiting for them.

Fort Orello wasn't exactly that much of an spacious garrison. For students used to the luxury of the Imperial Academy, a frontier fort, guarding a tight mountain pass certainly wasn't something they would be immediately used to. Regardless of that, Orello could provide the with all they would need for the time being, including adequate medical treatment for Wagnil at the Fortress' main building.

"It seems that Orello has more stationed troops than normal, so you'll only have this building to work with while we stay here, Cadets. I hope that none of you have qualms about shared lodgings," the Captain said as soon as everyone got in their new dormitory. "I'll be on the main building, doing a report on our situation. You have the rest of the day until further orders, you can't leave the fort, though. Also, I know that War stories are a good way to make acquaintances, but remember that everything that happened from yesterday night until now is classified information. You are forbidden to talk about it without permission," the Captain talked like someone that was merely following the protocol, despite trusting the Cadets after their unexpected baptism of fire.

"Enjoy your break, you've earned it," was the last thing the Captain said before requesting Wagnil's journal from Althea and leaving for the Fort's main building.
