Hey! Are you guys still looking for new players? Cause this seems interesting enough for me.
@KoL

Indeed we are. Feel free to toss in a CS and we will see what we can do about your character.
Well, as promised, my post is up today.

By the way, people, I'm thinkering with the possibility of making some changes for this RP (especially how magic works/and some of the setting's lore) but they might end up having quite an impact on your characters. For the time being I'm just leaving this as a note, and trying to gauge your interest in a new fixed/more closer to a Vancian magic system.

If there's some interest, I can work on it. Otherwise, we can keep going as is.

As for the setting, I'll eventually rework bits of it as this is an interactive game, after all, but not enough to change it in any way. Just expansion.

ORELLO

The sergeant looked around himself, realizing the commotion that had formed around him. While he didn't pay much heed to the threats of kids who couldn't tell left from right, much less know anything about how war is supposed to be, this much attention was getting on his nerves. "Harumph! Suit yerselves, then," the nearly seven feet tall giant said, locking his blade back on its scabbard.
"Yer all are gonna to 'ave a wake up call sooner or later," the sergeant said in a bitter voice while he adjusted the bearskin mantle he wore over his armor. A trained eye would be able to take a momentary glimpse of a dark spot close to his collar bone in the faint moment that he took to fix his gear and turn around. "When that 'appens I'll love to see yer faces. The only thing that's better than yer first real battle," the sergent said as he began to leave, taking the time to stare right at the skimply clad Esther and back at the Aquarian guard, "are the whimpers of an insolent girl being deflowered, after all."

Once the sergeant left for the main lodgings, the soldiers around rushed in to assist the wounded. One of them came to the Cadets, especially Althea, and bowed, pleading their forgiveness. "We are sorry. Some of us here really can't tolerate the presence of so many foreigner troops, stretching our resources, especially when Winter is coming. We would have helped before if we could but, unlike you, we are going to be here probably until the day we are discharged. We can't simply disobey the sergeant, even if some of us don't agree with his mindset."

"Anyway, you must be tired," the soldier said, placing a hand over Althea's shoulder. "Please, allow us to take it from here. That Aquarian girl probably needs you more at this moment, anyway." After saying so, the soldier turned on his heel and began to assist the others in taking away the wounded soldiers, leaving behind just those on duty, the Cadets and the Aquarian guard.
"Thank yo—ouch! for your help," The girl said. She still kept a brave face, smiling even though the red spot in her face had swelled enough to to force her to keep an eye half-open. Despite the bruise, she seemed content with the outcome of this situation.

"I'm Viola Ferrari, a cadet of the Aquarian Royal Guard," the girl said with a slightly pained voice while getting closer to the Cadets. "Can I—ouch! ask for a bit more of your help?" Viola said, looking at the medical supplies on Althea's hands.
Eh, I don't imagine it'd be that farfetched. Without the faction leaders, I think some Angels and demons and Grafdakka would still go at it, but most people would just go and do their own thing.

You really think that wars would stop just because a nation's leader isn't there? As far as history goes, it's quite the contrary. A nation without leaders tends to fall into chaos and civil war quite fast as no one agrees with no one.
@KoL

Already on it. BTW is it common knowledge that the factions used to coexist peacefully or is that a fact that has been purposefully stripped from history? Asking for potential sideplot reasons.

Since it's on the OP, it's supposed to be available knowledge for anyone who wants to know. Like reading from an old library/just being really that old. These days such a story is probably taken with a grain of salt, though, more like a fairy tale than actual history.
PS: This last post contains a bit of foreshadowing about what the next battle maybe and the developing plot. This interlude will go at least until this weekend as requested by some, but will not likely reach two, since we still have to introduce @thewizardguy's character in the next battle and making them wait for too long isn't good.

So, if anyone has any other requests regarding this down time, please ask them now. We just want to make sure that no one is left feeling unsatisfied.

By the way, @Awesomoman64, if you want to join in this down time, you are free to go. There's pretty much no better time than now.

Also, @The 42nd Gecko, just to make things clear regarding this last post. Miyu can still do her rocket thing. As we said before, the space isn't outside of the Nexus. The barrier that separates the Nexus from the rest of the multiverse is far more metaphysical than that.
@KoL Are you saying Hohenheim goes all out with every little project she does? I'm sure some of her creations could be copied quite easily by Henry.

Hohenheim: "The door to my sweet drawer has a lock on it so that only I can open."

Henry: "I have the Gates of Tartarus."

~~

Not that I would want it to happen this way, but couldn't Lucille just ask Hohenheim "Hey, can you make me a wolf girl to these specifications?" To which Hohenheim would go "Fufufu, what brings the proud Lucille to beg things of me?" To which I imagine Lucille would attempt "Your face meets ground."

More like Hohenheim never does half-assed projects. She's far beyond the level where normal experiments can entertain her/give the answers which she seeks (There's a damn good reason why she calls herself Alchemist of Genesis, it's just that no one ever cared to ask about/look into it). Thus, anything she does is far beyond the reach of lower beings no matter what is the source of their power.

And, while I would find the idea of Lucille going out of her way to talk/whack the Alchemist amusing, there are various reasons why this wouldn't work.

I think Fran would be a terrible bodyguard, constantly getting into orgies usually distracts from guarding.

I want doggo girl back :( Henry needs more doggos

<Snipped quote by KoL>

Henry don't care, when he wants something he gets it. One way or another, he gets what he wants.

Like I said, there's the chance of getting her back but it'll depend on how things go and if it's of our interest. After all, Artoria was very well warned not to mess with that sword both IC and OOC.

You really think that it's smart of him to follow the same path as Artoria and poke the setting's Powers that Be? Hohenheim is far less considerate than Eos, after all.
Somewhere in hell, a certain vampire rested in her dark palace circled by nothing but the deadly roses she cherished so much. "I can't believe it," Victoire said to herself, sinking her claws at her throne's arm, "even when I guarantee their victory, I still come out at a loss." The smallish vampire gazed bitterly at her hand, missing the ring which was so important to her and remembering that, even when she won she still lost.

"Will this ever end?" Victoire asked herself. However, her monologue was interrupted by an untimely intrusion of an individual whose appearance looked quite similar to Victoire's own kind. "Who are you? And what are you doing here?" the Blood Countess asked, angry at the interruption.
"Oh please, do not mind me. If you want to continue the self-loathing monologue feel free to do so," the girl said as she walked into Victoire's throne room nonchalantly, stopping to pick one of the Blood Countess' roses and admire its fragrance. "However, if you want to make a more useful contribution as one of our kind, I have a suggestion that might interest you."

"I don't have time to waste on intruders like you. If you like my Demon Roses so much, I'll let you have an intimate feel of their embrace," Victoire said as her patience ran thin before commanding her roses to tear apart the intruder.

"Oh my, where's my education?" the other vampire said. "I'm Helena. But I guess that you can call me queen. After all, I'm the most powerful of our kind," Helena said, finally identifying herself while stopping Victoire's attack with a single hand.

Victoire's eyes almost fell off her face as she saw the girl stop her attack with the same easy as one swats of a fly. "Lies!" she yelled. "I have never heard anything about a Queen, much less about you," Victoire said, with irritation noticeable in her voice. "Explain what you want here—"

"Shh, shh, my child. Did your mother never teach you to not speak out of your turn?" Helena said in a patronizing voice, pretty much mocking Victoire's outburst. "If you really want to know, all I want of you is that you raise a special kind of rose to me. After all, my own castle is so devoid of life. It could very well use some new decorations..." Helena opened her hand, showing that the rose she picked a while earleier had changed from its usual crimson, to an alluring blue hue.

One could only imagine what Helena had in mind.
At the Elysian Paradise of Celestia, many events seemed to be taking place. A general unrest could be felt permeating the many halls and aisles of the heavenly palace. One of the reasons for such was the news of the sound defeat they suffered at KC-00032, especially when it looked like most of those who left for that battle never returned. Not only that, but most of the Heavens' best combatants just disappeared out of the blue, retired to whatever corner of the Nexus they originally came from. The future didn't bode well for the holy hosts of the Divine Imperator, not at all.

"Sincerely, it's almost like everything is conspiring to leave those harpies be the only ones doing the fight around here," Diana said to herself as she walked around the corridors while drying of her hair, after getting off of a public bathing pool. "I think it's not just this place. The Nexus as a whole have seen better days. I wonder if this mean that something big is about to happen?"

A sigh escaped Diana's lips as she stopped by a nearby balcony and gazed at the sky aimlessly. "If only I could see Bastion once more," Diana said to no one in particular.

All the while, the clouds danced in the skies above.
While Iona was being her ever dutiful self, searching the Nexus and beyond for clues on what the recent events meant, Juno was ordered to stay behind band make sure that no more disturbances could either enter or leave the world of endless warfare. This naturally meant that she was the one to reply to Deva's summons.

"Did you call us?" Juno said as she walked into the Divine Imperator's audience chamber. Her eyes were downcast as if the Snake of the World had a great burden resting on her shoulders. Even her voice was more composed than Juno's usual self, as was evident when she said "Iona is searching out the truth. Meanwhile, I have to keep anyone from trespassing the boundary."

"I feel something bad, something that makes me want to protect Celly and the others more than ever," Juno said solemnly before making a pause and turning her head to the side as if she were trying to see the very horizon beyond the walls of Deva's palace. "Do you know what it is?" she asked, after turning her face back to Deva.
Back at the seat of Mankind's power, Eos observed stoically as those she called for arrived in her audience chamber. Not long after Hibiki, Shizuka and Krieg, a collaborator that Eos wasn't counting on at first came in to deliver some very special equipment to those before her.

"Before anything else, I would like to thank you for your role in KC-00032's defense. It was only thanks to the efforts of troops like you that we could preserve that which belongs to us," Eos said as soon as everyone was in their rightful place. "As proof of my appreciation for your efforts, I shall grant you a few rewards, so that you can keep on serving our purpose for the troubled times that are about to come."
"First, Krieg will have his Eyes unsealed. While it's too early to trust your capacity as a commander, this power shall help you fight on par with the Nexus' best." Just as Eos spoke, Krieg —and thus Endian— would be able to feel the power of his former Golden Eyes being unsealed, the surge of powerful energy coursing through its circuitry. "The Meido Sisters shall be granted a special gift, shared by their very soul. Each of you will have one Silver Eye. Alone your powers shall be weak. However, when together, they'll rival even those that I posses. There's no doubt that you'll use this power well. Additionally, I have placed Dr. Karizawa's TEP project under your jurisdiction. He shall report to you, and you shall make sure that his objectives match those of the Machina."

"While this is the end of the gifts I have offered out of my own power, our newest collaborator shall explain the detail of a very unique project. With this you'll have the edge you'll need in future battles," Eos said, gesturing for their newest ally yo step forward and explain what she had in mind.

"Is there anything you would like to say?" The High Queen asked.
Well, I'm open to pairing with anyone like I said before. At this time, I think that either of the two Saber are the best fit choice for my character. If they are taken already, I can go with anyone else.

Such a shame that Lancer gets no love around here.

Disappointing. Could he create a clone that looks and acts exactly like her? With the same powers as her? Henry is always on the hunt for a great bodyguard.

By the way, no as well. Since her back story has it so that Artoria has been created by Hohenheim, it makes it impossible for Henry to do a copy that works even slightly close to what she originally was. Even if he could, it would be unadvisable, after all... you don't want to trigger Hohenheim's temper by copying her stuff, do you?
