Oh yeah, by the way, the specific of the next battle will come on the next post, later this week. Anyway, if it's not clear enough, this is a good chance for certain characters that you may find less used or interesting to get some development since the battlefield will mess with their minds and memories.

Hopefully this can lead to some interesting developments to everyone, just like Hohenheim's battle did. I have at least ne very interesting one for Diana in mind.
Who knows? What if there's a chatbot between us and no one ever noticed?
@PKMNB0Y

Oh, sorry, I was supposed to have posted already. Sorry for that, I'll really have something up by tomorrow.
The attentive observe will notice that history follows a pattern of destruction and rebirth. This have been noted more than once by many historians from the Far East to the Classical Age and even today, when science does its best to demystify the superstitions of our forefathers. Yet, the rational mind doesn't hold all the answers and try as they might, some truths that lie bellow the world that we can see everyday will always escape the hands of the men of reason, no matter how tight they make their nets.

One such pattern followed by history and known to sages from all times and era, yet ignored by so called scientists and academics who rely on their overzealous love of equations and factual data, is that the darkness that lurked the dreams of our ancestors cannot be destroyed. It'll always find a way to preserve itself. Once a man of the modern age comes in contact with it, it's inevitable that his mind will pay the price of his foolishness in forgetting why we used to fear it for most of our history.
In the vast countryside of a nation marching steadily to an age of science and reason there exists a town —more like a glorified village— forgotten behind, in the brume of time. In a hill overlooking an eerily still lake lies a mansion whose walls have been painted black by the fumes and ash of coal, the town's black gold.

It's within this mansion, known as the Rivianne Solaire, circled by sparse woods that the following account has transpired. To the reader is reserved the right to interpret this story in whatever way they deem more fitting. Take it as hard facts, delusions of insanity or a hallucination caused by the waste of the very thing that made the town rich, whatever is it that suits you best.
"Welcome to my mansion. I hope that you find the supper to be of your liking," Those would be the first words heard by any of those who found themselves attracted by the alluring call of the Rivianne Solaire, the so called cursed mansion resting atop a sinister hill, in a town forgotten in the middle of nowhere. Those words, spoken in a soft, whisper-like voice came from the lips of a finely dressed girl sat by the head of the very own table in which all those attracted by the mansion would find themselves as soon as their consciousness returned.

Not a single coin of their possession had been taken away, yet those reunited by that table wold find a plentiful supper before them. Some of it was half eaten, which raised a lot of suspicions. Yet, there they were. What could be happening?
"Test your hearts and your alliances if you want to know the truth, for I'm the only one who can provide it."

Miyu: Except that, you know, Iona just goes around spilling the beans that the whole war is puppeteer-ed to anyone who wants to throw a happy birthday party.

Iona never told that to Miyu, the only thing she said (and that was outside of the RP properly said, since it was never posted) is that she couldn't leave the Nexus. Up to now, Miyu has only been escalating a problem that might as well not exist from the general RP's stand point.

If nothing else, I think that she would be the single most interested being in the whole Nexus when it comes to whatever is it that Helena says that she knows.
"Oh, Omega? And... Ananta too, right? Don't worry about it, I don't think I'm that much better either, if you want to, we can stick together."

Diana looked surprised but in a good way as she was approached both by the Ghostly Gunslinger and the Celestial Snake. The questions coming from Omega made the Dragon Girl's face assume a slightly rosy tint. "So, you heard me, hehe? I'm sorry, I didn't want to sound depressive or anything like that. It's just that this place is... empty, I guess?"
Indeed it was. After all, there were all that people missing, from Tartys to Torag and all the way between, Celestia had been suddenly depopulated.

"By the way, do you guys plan to come for the next battle? I'll probably go as well, and it would be good to have someone I know there as well. I don't even know where it'll be happening but I guess that— Oh well, we probably don't need to wait anymore, do we?" Just as Diana said so, the bells of Celestia would begin to toll, announcing that those with the will to join in battle once more should go to the Imperator's Chambers, where they would be informed of their next destination.

A similar call was issued by Eos, calling all the Machina who weren't already in her chambers. And no doubt, Lucille would soon be issuing an order of the similar kind. It seemed like something that shouldn't be disturbed had been opened once more.
The Oblivion Dungeon
Somewhere in the vast, unfathomable reaches of the Nexus there exists a place where those deemed to be so vile and unstable for even this word of eternal warfare are locked up to be forgotten for all the eons to come. That place is called The Oblivion Dungeon, trapped in the border between the real and the imaginary, a place where delusions and truth weave together in a complex lattice. Even one's mind or memories cannot be trusted. Once you are banished to that place, there's no coming back, ever.

Or so it should be...
An azure mist rose deep within the inscrutable darkness of the maze like ruins, the roses grown by Victore's magic filled the ruins' corridors and halls, no where was left where their fragrance hadn't reached. The culprit for such an intrusion was None but Helena who managed to gain access to it, setting up a temporary base of operations where no one in the Nexus would dare to come. Or, they wouldn't dare before the vampire sent a message to all corners of the Nexus:

"Rejoice, daughters and sisters of the Nexus for the time to end the farce within which you dwelled for so long has come. Those who seek the truth come and meet me in the realm of the souls who were imprisoned for defying the tyranny of the Triumvirate and those which they serve.

Test your hearts and your alliances if you want to know the truth, for I'm the only one who can provide it. I can show you what is it that lies beyond the border and the reason why you are shackled on this prison without walls. With the power granted to me, in this place, bringing back what has been lost is just a matter of wishing it.

Free yourselves and join my cause, or keep on being slaves and meet your final fate. The choice is yours. Nevertheless, I urge you to hurry, unless you want the evils within this prison to spill back on your world of lies."

As soon as Helena's message was transmitted, three portals to the sinister prison would be opened, one at each of the faction leader's audience chambers, enabling access to it. From there on, the fate of the Nexus was, once again on the hands of its inhabitants and their rulers. What they would choose was yet to be seen.
I'll have my post done up to tomorrow, probably. I was just waiting for basically you guys to post again before I do mine.
@KoL
Still looking forward to being able to join in. ^-^

I really want to go forward and move us to the next battle, but others requested to wait at least until today. The next battle will begin as soon as @TheWindel and I can finish it. Probably before the next weekend.
Ok, now that that collab between @TheWindel and me is up, I can finish doing my next post for real. I'll try to have it up to tomorrow.

I'm sorry for the delay but skipping the order of things wouldn't be as interesting for everyone, since you would end up losing the foreshadowing on that post.
