While everyone else seemed to be able to feel the tension in the air of the Nexus, no matter where on it they were, one being was seeking for answers on the only place she knew that she could find them. This being was none other than Iona, the Dark Archangel that normally served as Celestia's guard dog, or rather, it's constable. After a walk that seemed far longer than it actually was, she finally arrived at her destination. Sure, Iona could have just teleported into there, but the being she was seeking to was someone she was far too much dedicated to, she would never do something as uncivilized as coming in by teleportation while unannounced.
"Master, excuse my unannounced return," Iona said, bowing to the being before her. "I have come in search of answers."

"You have come to the right place, my disciple."

As darkness faded away to reveal light, Iona would find herself standing in the presence of a grand viewing. A realm of twisting blacks and whites that morphed and reflected off the very surface of the air. And rising high in a united circle around the woman were thirteen great thrones, although only eleven inhabited these seats. Figures of different sizes and stature sat in place, all of them looking down upon the Dark Archangel. Although they varied in attire and aura, they shared one common trait; the masks that concealed their features. The one who had spoken to Iona was adorned in blackened battle armor highlighted with colors of orange painting its details. A crimson fabric of sort was draped over his shoulders and split to each of his sides, as if resembling wings. He turned his masked face once more towards Iona. "You come here seeking clarity. We are happy to provide."

"There are many unknown movements happening on the Nexus at this moment. I believe that they have found their way in after all this time and seek to harm our cause," Iona said, regarding the recent invasion of the Nexus by Helena and her group. "Furthermore, a being that may or may not be related to them has recently risen up again, her very existence is a threat to the fabric of Nexus' reality. It shall not be an immediate problem while the Snake of the World remains on our side however, how long will it last?"

"The Wisdom I seek is regarding this crisis. If it's not properly dealt with, all of the Nexus stands on the way of a massive battle that will likely lead it to its destruction," she added before going quiet once more.

"Pfft, so what? If this popsicle stand blows up, we can just move our little experiements somewhere else," said a voice to Iona's left from one of the masked beings.

"And waste all of that time and effort? No thanks! If anything, we need to preserve this piece as long as possible to yield the results we want," said another voice.

"Fufufu, I don't see why we can't just blow the whole thing up," snickered yet another.

However, all bickering ceased when the masked being residing in the highest throne raised a hand. Even Iona's master turned to hear what their Superior had to say on the matter. "Indeed, we have put much time and resource into this project of ours. However, if those who inhabit the Nexus are not powerful enough to deal with Helena's tactics, then they are not worthy of our actions as saviours," the deep voice said, echoing throughout the chamber. "Do not fret Archangel. For as long as the Snake and the Eel are under our thumb, this excursion will not be in vain," the masked man finished, turning to face the two empty thrones among their number.

"The creature you speak of is the same as you," Iona's master said once their Superior had spoken his piece. "I'm sure you can see that her...rudimentary nature is more akin to Helena's liking. That does not mean she can't be swayed to our side. Even if the Nexus is to be destroyed, those we have observed will be able to obtain their reward in the end."

"Indeed, I have faith in your words, Master," Iona said, raising her head. "Though I cannot guarantee the being's cooperation, I can assure that, if she doesn't join our cause, she'll not become one of Helena's lackeys as well. I have prepared the most efficient stage for this to happen. All factors considered, we will be able to manipulate the Triumvirate to our use and, if it comes to it," Iona summoned her swords besides her, before gazing towards her master with a smile of anticipation that was rarely seen by anyone else but he, the only being who knew Iona's true nature.

"I'm willing to become your blade once more," she said.
Anyone mind giving me a brief recap of the events so far and maybe a good place to drop Anne in? I'd appreciate it.

All that you need to know is resumed on this post: https://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/4332916
By the way, everyone, I added some more lore on the 0th IC post, including a map to help with spatial notion for you all. The numbered locations correspond to the entries on the lore journal: 1 - The Imperial Capital, Arpeggio, 2 - Orello (both the village and the fort) and 3 - Aquaria.

The other entries are empty for the time being, but I'll fill them as soon as I have a bit of time to fill in the notes.
*continues to sit in the closet, waiting for the big reveal*

Don't worry, I'll post probably tomorrow. I just want to resolve event first before initiating another.
@Awesomoman64

Your character is good by me, by the way. Just wait for @TheWindel.
Ohh, this looks interesting since it's an industrial age and horror setting, though I do have questions. Number one is obviously if there are slots still open. Two is I see both casual and advanced tags, so what are the posting requirements?

Oh, hi there.

We have plenty of space so feel at home, please. As for requirements, I know what you can do so it should be no problem. Sincerely, one or two paragraphs, decently written shall be good enough.

We are looking more for quality than quantity, to say the truth.
"Hehe, we have plenty of open space around here," Diana replied to Suparna's comment. "With most of the people that live around here having wings or being generally on the huge side, that's a given," she added while taking a moment to look at Ananta and her congregation of infants.

Diana waved to the small angelic beings, smiling as some of them returned her greeting. A moment later she grabbed Suparna's hand once more. "Well, I guess we should go find a place for you to stay. There are a few vacant rooms in the upper part of Celestia, you'll probably really like them," she said. "Also, if you wanna find something about bodies, you should go talk to the Angel of Death. She probably knows everything about that. I can show you the way later if you want."

After saying that, Diana began to walk around Celestia, with Suparna in toll, looking for a room that the maggot girl would find enjoyable. On their way up a flight of stairs that lead to Deva's court, the two of them crossed the way of a woman dressed in a regal uniform.

"I wonder who that one is? It's been a while since I have seen new people around Celestia, but it seems like that things are changing slowly," Diana commented idly, after replying to the woman's nod. "Maybe everything will be really better from now on," she added as Suparna and she continued in search of a proper room.
Meanwhile, Farris Aran, the captain of Deva's royal guard had just arrived back in Celestia after a long campaign in the name of the Divine Imperator. She crossed the way of Diana and her newest companion, nodding politely to them as she made her way to the Imperator's court. The knight wondered how this domain would be different from their homeland? If the fact that the former rebels that threatened to destroy all that they stood for, found a new way of living in this realm, Farris was certain that her choice to heed to the Imperator and the Court's words wasn't a misguided one.

The Herald of the Thundering Warcry was a woman of resolve, after all. Once she made her mind to follow a cause, nothing would change. That was just who Farris was. And she wouldn't like it to even be different.

"I have finally finished my duty, Divine Imperator," Farris said as she came into Deva's court, where the Imperator presided over the Will of Heavens with envoys such as Iona, the Dark Archangel and Juno, the Snake of the World, aiding in her decisions. "I'll be glad to be at your service once more. For me, there could never be any greater reward."
"Your allies are more equipped to answer the question of whether it's customary for me to reward the efforts of our troops," Eos replied to Henry while gesturing toward the others before her. "Nevertheless, I'll also handle sanctions in the same way, if your performance is anything less than perfect. I hope you understand that."

"Regarding your questions, swordsman," Eos turned to Bonesword once more, "A castle on the outskirts of Hyperion is definitively out of question. It would damage the city's architecture far too much. Nevertheless, I have a place where I can allocate the two of you to." Just as Eos said so, a holographic projection of Hyperion appeared behind her. A blinking dot marked a specific building which was the zoomed in, revealing the location to be the city's most prominent entertainment center, the night club/hotel known as The Nile, a gigantic pyramid of black glass and steel whose bright lights shone like a beacon, piercing Hyperion's nearly perpetual night. "The Nile has been recently finished, you cannot find better accommodations in Hyperion than its rooms. It shall serve both of you well. That said, your experiments still have to be conducted out of the City or inside of a safe zone. We don't need any more nuisances with rogue B.O.W.s."

"Regarding Alexi. There are no buttons to open any of the palace's doors. All of them are automatic and will open for those who have the appropriate authorization. The main entrance has free passage for all Machina citizens. It's impossible for her to be stuck there. All that she has to do is walk toward it for the gates to open," Eos answered the question about how Alexi could get stuck in an automatic door. A moment later, the High Queen summoned a holographic control panel and pressed a button. "That said, even if she still doesn't make it, this shall work," Eos said, as she commanded the doors to open.

The holographic projection of Hyperion changed to alert mode a moment later as bright red lights began to scan it. A satellite image zoomed at in at what looked like a meteor crater right outside of the city, with a redheaded Angel rising up from it. A second scrolling feedback had all the data the Machina managed to collect about Zac, especially the result of the analysis of his performance at the battle of Arcadia. Eos could only attribute the lapse in Hyperion's surveillance systems to the fact that Henry's presence put the whole city on red alert until just a few minutes ago. Worse than that, the overeager troops of TEP decided to take the issue into their own hands, instead of alerting their Queen as it was to be expected.

"That came in a perfect time, to say the truth," Eos said to herself as she turned to Bonesword and Henry. "The two of you are going to be deployed at capture or eliminate that Angel before it can cause any form of damage to Hyperion or come into contact with sensitive information of any form. This shall be your first mission as a team. The remainder of you are going to stay here, ready for action, in case any more unforeseen situation arises," the High Queen commanded.

I may have something around tomorrow or so. Probably.
Yeah when I wrote Solaire I was still iffy on what exactly the time frame I was working with was. I wasn't certain if we were in actual Victorian times or somewhere more 18th century with certain anachronism. Still evil aristocracy, banditry, and the presence of religious institutes as a place of education and authority are timeless.

As for his skills I've dialed back his more extreme abilities, merely making him a more competent reader/writer (finishes essays and books within hours instead of minutes) as well as merely a skilled member of the choir, allowing himself to hit high notes normally done by women. His martial aspect has also been decreased to merely being competent at beating people with sticks, removing his hand-to-hand ability. His athleticism hadn't changed.

Well, he's ok by me now. Just wait for Windel.

I guess that, once @Awesomoman64 is done with his character, we are pretty much good to go. Four PCs ain't that bad a number, also makes the horror more personal, even if I originally hoped for more attention to this concept.
