Yeah, but it seems this is going to the fridge for the time being.

We will let you know when we think it's a good time to bring it back.
Ok, people, given the current status of the RP, with many dropping and others slowing down severely, we are considering to put this on hiatus and try again at a less crowded time of the year.

We'll give the final verdict by tomorrow, but unless something really unexpected happens, this decision won't change.
NANOHA TAKAMACHI

"Alright, we did it, Raising Heart! We got a clean hit!" Nanoha said excitedly when she hit Yukari with her planned Excellion Buster. Judging by the outcome of the blast, it didn't seem that their foe was as impervious to damage as some of those Nanoha faced in the past either so that was a plus in her book. Maybe, if they pushed it just a bit more, they could win?

Of course, the time for exhilaration was short-lived as soon enough, Yukari pulled another card from her sleeve, literally, and hit them with an even harsher sensory jamming spell. Without a way of fighting while effectively blind and deaf, this would be hard. Thankfully, Nanoha had a plan for that either.

"Protection!" Nanoha said. She let go of Raising Heart, returning it back to its Stand-By form, as she used both hands to cast two of the hemispherical barriers at once, one to each of her side. Not only she planned to get cover from any stray shots but, if Yukari came within an arm's reach of Nanoha, there was no way the young mage would miss her going through the barrier that had just about as much volume as it was enough to house Nanoha herself. If they were attacked in close range, Nanoha's plan was to drop the barriers and counter with a Cross Smasher or, failing that, at least grab her opponent and use Plan B: a mana-powered punch to the face with all Nanoha had to give.

METEORA ÖSTERREICH

"Of course, I understand your point. I should only have expected that it was normal for you to act on your character description", Meteora replied to Yuyuko while taking a seat at the table. "What your... handmaiden", Meteora defaulted to politeness since she was unsure of how to classify Yuyuko and Yomu's relationship, "said is true for the rest of us as well. We all got transported from our worlds to this one without rhyme or reason and are in search of the cause as well as a way to go back. I have reasons to believe that your friend, Miss Yukari, is a key player in this incident."

It was really worrying for Meteora that this was shaping to be nothing like the incident she knew about. The rules were far too different and, probably the only one that could elucidate Meteora's doubts in her fullest was Altair. The Mop-Heap Princess was sure to know what was happening in the backstage since she got herself allied with another dimension traveler.

The time for conjectures could wait a bit more, now Meteora was more focused on dealing with her complaining stomach.

"I have enough money on me to cover a part of what Miss Yuyuko must owe this place, as well as my own lunch and Sanaki's. This is the least I could do after barely being able to help during the fight with the wyverns", Meteora said when she noticed Leonardo counting his money with apprehension. It was not like a single lunch was going to blow away a few days worth of travel savings, plus she was saying the truth about apologizing for being kind of a deadweight when it came to combat.

"Our bigger problem will be how to deal with that crowd eying us after we made it to the top of the social networks' in a matter of hours", Meteora remarked, noticing the change in the behavior of the buffet patrons.

"Wha!?" Elizabeth shrieked as she avoided the flame burst by the skin of her fangs. Even though she had a dragon's eye view of their surroundings, she wasn't able to track where their foe went after she escaped. "The Lancer Class is really chock-full of lightning-fast Heroic Spirits, huh?" she said to no one in particular, in an introspective tone that almost made it look like Elizabeth didn't think of herself as a member of said Class. In fact, if asked about that, she would say she'd much rather prefer to be considered an Idol Class Servant. But, that's going on a tangent...

As soon as she snapped back to reality, Elizabeth landed beside the others and observed as they socialized with— "Wait, did you say you are THE Siegfried? One of the most famous dragonslayers right there in the same category as Georgius and Susanoo?" she said with no small deal surprise, and perhaps a bit of apprehension, seeping in her voice. Their conversation wasn't allowed to go very far before being interrupted by the imminent arrival of more enemies and the need to protect those who inhabit this era.

"Well, if you want to protect someplace, you've come to Idol. These beasts will learn that the walls of a prison castle are as hard to break in as they are to break out," Elizabeth said as they took their leave to the village. She may not be a Shield-bearing Heroine, but when it came to defensive fights, the ability to summon Csejte, and command all the wraiths that haunt its halls, give a big edge to Elizabeth. It might not be something as fancy as the Trojan Walls, but it's a prison at least on par, if not better than, Alcatraz and Chateau d'If. It's certainly as hard to get in those kinds of places as it's to get out.

Ok, there's a post. Sorry for the wait.

Seyrun is dwelling on the intrigue now. We gotta exploit the tension of the times, after all.

"When you say it like that, it's indeed a possibility, but not one I pay much mind to. 'Nordland is going to remain neutral at all costs,' is the will of our National Assembly," Seyrun replied to Nadalena's question about possible border disputes, followed by a satirical impersonation of Nordland's Prime Minister. The Nordic princess' love for drama and theatrics were evident as she did her best to mock a man thrice as old as she.

"It seems that some of the most spineless politicians believe that the fact that I came here to study might be seen as a political maneuver in search of allies by one, or both, sides of this conflict," Seyrun said with a grave voice. She made a momentary pause to let the seriousness of their talk cool down for a bit before adding in her characteristic jovial tone, "can you believe? Who in the world would think that a nation's Crown Princess, no matter how much of a charismatic troublemaker she may be, would act as a spy?"
@KoL

I'd think under these circumstances it may be fitting to give Ryo some latitude to rework their CS if they wanted Sonia to have a new power set, within reason, since this was something of a mistake on GMs part to allow in the first place. Correct? Otherwise it would be a power lost for nothing and all after being approved in the first place via lapse in judgement.

I don't see any problems with adjusting a character if need be.
PS: Just to be clear, the problem is not with you.

I like you as a player but it's obvious that Divination magic is a big problem to deal with for a GM. This is why D&D treats even the strongest of these spells as "as useful as the DM feels they should be" or why most DMs I ever played with, including when I used to DM, banned this kind of magic from player's repertoires.

It was a mistake of mine to let it slide because I consider you a good player. Interacting with time, in anyway, shape, or form, other then postcognition is clearly a power that shouldn't be in PC's hands.
That's just the thing though. What she saw in the first vision is maybe at least ten seconds. Her portents let her see the first thirty seconds; there's still so much more she could see and know if she acts on the next twenty seconds. Things like would it attack or run away if Owldin hits it with a Shocking Grasp. Would it respond to Sonia if she spoke to it with Tongues.

And again, even though she technically did see some of the first vision, as you wrote, it's only because Lotte did something apparently before Sonia's Portent was done, as in before she actually knew what would happen. I get it, it's also because KoL posted before me, but even then that just meant that Sonia's Portent didn't happen; Owldin never got orders from Sonia to tie a rope around the creature, which now can't happen because Lotte got the creature out of the water instead of Owldin.

That's the problem with precognition, it get's messy easy, unless events are scripted in someway. Not to say anything of hurting the interest in the story from both from both player and GM side.

Even when we know exactly what's going to happen, which isn't something humanly possible, considering that we are in a cooperative game, where you all have even more influence on the outcome of any situation than us, it still leads to paradoxes IC-wise.

Unless you are willing to compromise it to something more open ended that we can somehow use as a plot device if need be (which is how divination should rightfully be used), it'll be in both our interests that you don't use this kind of power anymore.

An example of how to minimize the problems with this is asking us what she'll see before making your post. This way we don't have to throw a whole post cycle to the waste bin like this time around. Otherwise, everyone is forced to wait two of Sonia's posts before doing anything, if they want to make use of her visions. This is far too slow and boring to do, leading to either the game getting stuck or falling into disarray, as you just saw.
Well, if nothing happens there, there's little for Tholl and Lotte to do since we can assume that they are able to auto-complete the mission.

We may as well jump straight to the results if need be.
