Introduction

@Fetlius Welcome to the guild. I'd have to say, those three tend to be the most common on the guild, though scifi is definitely the least popular of the three listed. It's kind of a toss of up between the other two in terms of popularity.

Also, while the site has a fair share of Europeans, generally the Guild is mostly an American-based crowd. Or at least in those time zones. Just a FYI if you ever wonder where people are.

Interested, but just to clear something up...

I understand that this is a Star Wars setting, but from what I saw, this is a game where "all roleplays take place in the same universe." Does that include games that have superpowers and/or high magic? If so, can I create a character with such things?

Well, for starters, the Star Wars game is long dead. There was a potential reboot coming, but I haven't heard anything since it was announced long ago. If @Ruby is around, she might be able to explain more if anything was going to happen regarding it.

Secondly, if it were alive, when they meant "all roleplays take place in the same universe", they're talking about a persistent universe/world, not a multiverse setting or something similar to it. What this means is that characters and RPs in this section may crossover or affect each other. So, for example, if you made a Mandalorian, Jedi, etc. that was off fighting Rakghoul on Taris in one RP, you could cross over with that character to another RP about hanging out in a Nar Shaddaa pub gambling later on, as both RPs would be bound by the same setting, rules, timeframe, etc. (in this case the world of Star Wars, in particular the SW era of the Old Republic).

Truthfully, if you're looking for a superpower/high magic RP, you'd be better off looking at the other RP sections on the guild. Not only are they active and where everyone currently RPs, it's where every other RP, both fandom and original, that had nothing to do with this PW is.

Well, you can't win them all. Vaunk would've preferred if he had simply accepted the offer; to avoid the trouble of hunting or fishing for his own food. But it seemed the Grolarkin wasn't much of an idiot to fall for his tricks, and he wasn't going to get what he wanted.

"Very well! Your loss, though." Vaunk replied, placing the stone back in a pouch. "So, what brings a Grolarkin to this neck of the woods? It isn't every day you see one."

The air was biting cold, but Vaunk had been used to such weather. It was nothing he couldn't handle, Vaunk knew, as he watched a man poke away at coals from afar. Clearly, he must've just had a tasty meal—something Vaunk was eager to get his hands on, hungry as he was.

Perhaps it was a good thing that he was quite the conman, silvered tongue and all.

Breaking from his cover, Vaunk approached the campsite, acting as if he had just stumbled upon it. "Ho, traveller!" He called, waving the man down. "My name is Vaunk; I had seen your fire's smoke from afar. Surely you don't have any spare fish lying around?"

Slowly, Vaunk reached into a pouch, and pulled out an egg-like stone. "Legend has it that this is an egg of a once great beast. If you can fish up enough to send me on my merry way, then I'd gladly offer it in exchange."

ARCHETYPE: Ranger, Robin Hood-esque, Nomad

3+ PHYSICAL TRAITS: Agile frame, yet muscular enough for spear-throwing and rock climbing. Grayish, almost silvering fur and hair, with a mustache to boot. Scarred across the face; a memory from being "out-ambushed".

ORIGIN: A wandering traveler. Forced out of his home in the northern reaches, Vaunk makes his living causing as much mayhem as he can in the name of the poor and destitute.

BELIEFS: Always live a swashbuckling life; you only live once.

DESIRES: Go down in history and legend as the great Vaunk, wooer of all, with plenty of stories and tales to be told.

I like fantasy and sci-fi the most(especially when it's set in a modern day setting). I'm kinda curious about doing horror too.

I think the only thing I'm not super big into is fandom based writing, but even still, if there's an interesting enough story I'll give it a go!

Well, I think you won't have much trouble finding fantasy or scifi RPs, though I personally think fantasy is more popular here than the latter. Horror RPs on the guild are usually/primarily more inclined to the survival horror genre (think like zombies) than anything else.

Sorry, I messaged Hank, Legend, and POOHEAD189 almost a month ago asking if it would be appropriate to post and didn't get any response! It is a roleplaying game, and we are looking for players, so I would personally not consider it spam (else I wouldn't have posted it). And it's free, so we do not gain any financial benefit or compensation from it.

What I listed was in the site rules. You should've got a PM--a PM from the Guild Mods account--when you made an account that had a note about familiarizing yourself with them before posting.

To clarify, the RP has to be hosted directly on this site for it to not be considered advertising. RPGuild isn't a place like RPGfix or RPG Directory. The site doesn't allow for Discord RPs, ads for MMO RP, etc.; it has to be just plain old play-by-post RP hosted directly on RPG itself. Generally, if someone is actively advertising RP in other places, like this thread, and therefore potentially drawing members/users away from the site, it's seen as no bueno.
