Bypassing how he found out about the demon deal for a moment he still wouldn't have known when Veiron would fall. The King (who I should really give a name) bargained for a hundred years of paradise in exchange for his soul and his kingdom (the conclusion of this deal opened the Gates of Hell) however through some loophole in the contract the demons collected there prize fifty years ahead of time. Even the King didn't know the fall was coming until a few hours before it happened.

Generally speaking I don't like the term "evil" as it is incredibly absolute but leaving that alone for a moment Tobias has some form of blood disease that over time gives him demonlike traits correct? The magic suit halts the progression of this disease. Now did he get this disease at Veiron or when the ambiguous possibly vampire like demon attacked his mother?

Next the demons wouldn't care who knew about the deal, in fact they'd likely find it amusing seeing at that as public knowledge would cause mass panic. At that point it would be too late to actually break it so the demons don't care. Though the King likely would so you might want to change it from demons to the King declared him an enemy of state and put a bounty on his head type deal.

I'm not totally sure why he'd want to summon the demon that made the deal or why he would do it in proximity of his wife without protection but I can chock that one up to overconfidence and naivety on FT's part.

Aside from that as long as you incorporate everything into your CS you should be good to post.

@everyone, I'm thinking of changing the quote at the top of the OP. I have a number of options and was wondering on your guy opinion.

It was evident by this point that Cody was just some passerby. If he'd been part of the Council he would have said so by now and a dark guild member would act more kindly to those they intended to kidnap to lure them into a false sense of security. No Cody was just someone who'd happened to walk past at the right moment.

Dawn didn't particularly care for Cody's tone. It wasn't as though Elizabeth had hurt anyone. So she'd held up a street for a couple of minutes and knocked down a display stall. There were plenty of non magical people that had done much more terrible things. "It ain't like it can get much worse, not cause ah a bitta ice anyway." When Cody's disposition changed Dawn instantly knew that he'd come to the conclusion of why Dawn had brought Elizabeth here. From the way she acted and the earlier display it was clear that Elizabeth had problems with her magic.

When Cody started to speak again Dawn's eyes darkened. He took a step towards the wizard and grabbed him by the collar, his words slow with a clear threat to them. It was difficult to see in the direct sunlight but to the observant eye his skin appeared to glow ever so slightly. "There ain't nothin' 'wrong' with my sister." Dawn couldn't abide people that talked about Elizabeth that way. Sure she was somewhat out of the ordinary and she didn't think or act like most people but that did not inherently make her broken. She was one of the smartest people that Dawn knew even if the manner in which she expressed her intelligence was often hard to understand. "She's not broke and she don't need ta be fixed. Clear?" he said pointedly. "Good. We're both a little unsteady with our magic. As the Games are taking place in this city I figured this was as good a place as any to do some research, that's all."

Dawn let go of Cody's collar and took a step back. It was at this moment that he realized that Elizabeth was once again gone. Back in Clover Town when this happened it was usually easy to find her. The locals all knew to look out for her if she was on her own and the town wasn't all that big. In a city like Crocus however who knew where she might wander off to or what kind of trouble she could get into. They weren't in a small town anymore. There could be serious consequences if she ended up in the wrong place.

"Damn it." Dawn swore under his breath. he turned back to Cody. "Did you see which way she wandered off to?" Dawn didn't really have high hopes that he'd seen anything but there was always a chance. He started scanning the crowd hoping to get a glimpse of his sister running through the streets. She'd mentioned wanting Cotton Candy. Maybe that was were she'd gone.

Question: what's the limit on equipment? I perused the CS's and saw only medieval equipment, so does that mean there aren't firearms? This is just me being curious and doesn't impact my interest :)

With the common use of magic before the fall of Veiron research into gunpowder technology would have been unnecessary as it would essentially be an unstable version of something the kingdom already has in abundant supply. After the fall anyone with the qualifications to do such research wouldn't have a stable enough life to engage in such idle practices. You may find rudimentary firearms in such places as the thieves' town of Ashbourne (which ironically is the most stable place in Valeria) or very rarely more advanced magical firearms which would have been designed before the fall to be used by anyone. Firearms would be uncommon, mostly obtainable by brigands and the like and wouldn't be past American Civil War level of functionality. I'll make a note about this in the Original Post of the Roleplay.

I'm interested, is this high fantasy setting? (swords and spells) or more witch hunter: (stakes, revolvers and crosses) style RP?

A bit of both, if you want to take a look at the OOC there is more information about the world and everything in it. We have some mages, we have some demon hunters, we have a demon girl, its sort of a mix of a lot of stuff.

Are you looking for a certain kind of character or will just about any kind do?

The RP is meant to be versatile and adaptable. There's very little I'll explicitly say no to but depending on the character ideas set out some tweaking may be necessary. Also generally speaking your traditional supernatural creatures don't exist (vampires, werewolves and the like). We have a list of demons and such in the Character Tab though it is constantly being added to. Playable races are on the first post though I can be convinced to take on others not on that list depending on what they are and how they are presented. Overall its meant to be a story that has something for everyone so just let your creativity run wild and we can reign it in if need be.

I am interested in this, are you still looking for new characters?

@everyone. The RP has already begun but has stagnated slightly partly due to my not getting the design of the country our right away, partly due to drop outs and other such factors so we're needing new Roleplayers to keep it going. Since we're already begun simply create a CS. Post it to the OOC and after I look over it you'll be free to post in the IC.

Tiny pointy horns(or antlers, correct me there), pointy ears, and vampiric teeth. Black scribings on his back.

PROFESSION:
Thief

APPEARANCE:
Tobias has a completely average height, around 1.87 meters. He has a strong physique, and an almost perfect shape and proportion. Tobias wighs at 76 kilos( I actually know this in Imperial. That's 152 pounds). He has a strong chin, and and strong cheek bones, that bring out his vibrant red eyes. His facial expressions is stone cold like a murderer's by default, and his black hair is totally on point with that vibe.

He sticks with his ranger clothing he inherited from his dead father. From bottom to top, it is engraved leather boots, that go knee height. He waers brown trousers, that are held by a long silver belt that wraps around his waist multiple times. Below it is a set of green clothes that are attached to the trouser. A brown leather and and fur shirt is on his chest, covered up mostly by a grenn jacket, lined with silver strings. The jacket comes with a hood, long enough to hide his identity if needed, and always good enoguh to hide the fact that he is not completely normal. There is another belt going around his chest, hold in place his small tunic/poncho he wears. His arms are covered in belts (he must really like belts) that keep in place his bracers. The set ends with a long green fingerless glove.

His whole appearance is focused around silver lining and engravings, and most of his equipment is at least silver-like. That includes a neck bandana with small silver strings spiraling in front of his mouth, with teh usual silver linings.

PERSONALITY:
Tobias suffers mild personality issues. His mood can greatly affect his personality. However it always revolves around his cold and realistic, yet happy-to-go-lucky attitude. He is vary of new people, but usually acts natural. He sometimes acts crazy when with his friends, but only if teh situation requires so. That is when things become boring, or there is an oppurtinity for a good pun or joke. He is passive towards most things, until he is involved in them, and can ultimately become the leading charcater, from a quiet side character. However one thing never changes: he is an asshole who insult everyone slightly, but never to hurt them. Tobias sworned not to leave anyone behind of his companions.

BIO:
Tobias was born into a small farmer family. When his mother was pregnant with him, a demon, a vampire of some sort attacked his parents. His father fought teh demon off, but it left a scar on his mother's belly, which eventually corrupted his blood too, forming him ever so slightly into a vampire like human. He did not inherit any powers or needs (like blood sucking) but demonic resemblences started to show up, starting by his horn. His parents wanted to keep him, but eventually the townflok wanted to kill him, so his father took him into an abandoned ranger hideout in the forest. He learned to hunt, use knives and daggers, perfected his usage of bow, and set up traps for small animals. Tobias soon had a knowledge of nature, like none other, and practiced alchemy with the herbs around him. He learned to craft poisons and healing potions that sped up the healing of injuries, or helped with insomnia. His favourite thing however was to run around the forest, climbing hills and tress, leaping from branch to branch, scaling all the boulders.

But all good things must pass. When he was 14, he and his father were ambushed by bandits, and only by sacrificing himself his father managed to get an opening for him to escape. Since the time he spent in the forest alone, and rarely visited by his parents, his mother went to live in Veiron, to be a secretary at the castle (Not the today's secretary, but the one that acted as n assistant for higher ups). However her prestigious work didn't allow her to let him live at her house. So Tobias lived on teh streets and learned how to pickpocket. He could always escape from law enforcement thanks to his skills acquired in the wilderness. The streets toughened him, and slowly he gained his humanity back, his eyes fading black from the red. That is untilt eh demons arrived. He was visiting his mother when the hell hit earth, and they had to run like all teh others. His mother gave him a letter that his father left for him, before she was taken away by a demon. In the process Tobias inhaled the corrupted air, and the infested souls infused with his evil blood, growing him more inhumane than ever. Thanks only to this and his medicinal skills he survived, leaving a big black marking on his back as a reminder: never mess with the forces of evil.

Upon investigating the letter, he found the shocking truth: his father was responsible for his dealing with the devil. He was the one who arranged the demon to come by, just so he can save him from the purge to come. The letter didn't tell how his father knew of this, but it marked a location on an attached map, where he left his final gift. Tobias ventured out to their old homestead, and found a small hatch leading to a cellar. Magic infused lights and other freaks covered the place, which led to a few conclusions about his fathers real identity. But amongst all the mess was one thing of interest in particular: A magical suit made for him by his father, along with a bow hand made from ebony wood. He set out to find a new life amongst the mess, living off the chaos, thieving and doing all to survive. He soon was known as the Green Demon by the townsfolk.

EQUIPMENT:

• Short Sword: A small sword, conviently named "short sword" with a small green gemstone embed into the handle. if dark, the gemstones and the sword light up, illuminatig a an area in fron of him, even if it's in the holster. (I am not sure but I think it is around 1.7 inches. Not sure about imperial measurement >.< )
• Ebony Bow°: A hunting bow made of ebony wood, is a gift from Tobias's father. It is completely black, covered in silver and grenn straps in order to provide fricion, and make it better to handle. it is not big, around the size of a short bow, but it is recurved, which makes it compact but powerful.
• Magical Suit: No name for this one. A magical ranger suit from his dad, that turns out to do a few things. Hides his identity from any magic users that could discover his evil blood, grows with his size, and can rapair itself if cut. It helps contain his evil self, so he may never go amd from the corruption in his blood. It is what kept him sane all these years.
• Throwing daggers: He learned how to use throwing daggers and axes whilst he was in the forest. He is really accurate with them, and prefers to use them over the bow if possible, simply out of the reason that they are easier to access. He carries 6 with himself.
• Travel bag: More like a satchel, this contraption is something he found in his father's lab. A handy piece of equipment that can store more items that one can look out of it. It is really just a small brown bag with a silver string to hold it together, but if opened, one will see the huge space inside it.
• Basic rations, water, gauzes, ropes, herbs of various kinds for making potions, oil for lanterns

First we don't have vampires, too many cliches, stigmas and contradictory lore surrounding them to be worth including but not make a main focus of the story.

Second the Mark of the Demons is supposed to be from proximity to Veiron on the day of the fall. Ordinary people who encounter demons (assuming they survive) don't come away with demonic marks.

Then there are a couple of things that were vague enough for me to be confused in the last couple of paragraphs. So his dad arranged for his pregnant wife to be attacked by a demon... because that would somehow save his unborn son from a cataclysm fourteen years in the future of which he should have had no knowledge? I'm not sure about the reasoning behind this.

Maybe I'm dense but I have no idea what these conclusions are supposed to be. He has a hidden lair covered in magical artifacts and stuff. There's many conclusions one could draw from that: He is secretly a Djinn demon in a human body who fell in love with a mortal (bit cliched but wouldn't be the first time), he's one of the only remaining arcane smiths capable of making magical artifacts, he killed people and stole magic from them. The list goes on. Overall I'm going to need some more clarity with regards to Tobias' father cause at the moment I'm not sure what to think of him.

Also magical artifacts, especially weapons such as the sword he has are incredibly rare so if you want him to have such a sword there needs to be an explanation of where he got it.

This isn't really related to the CS but Valeria has a thieves town a days journey north of where all our characters are at the moment called Ashbourne which my character was on her way towards if that holds any possibilities for you.

Does anyone seriously give a damn that Jamie's personality is blank in her CS? Because I couldn't write anything there as she wasn't mine to begin with and I had to develop the personality and then it just became too complicated.

It looks like an oversight on the CS but overall probably not too important unless you've got someone not sure if they want to interact with Jamie looking into the character. Not really all that necessary but if you have some free time you could write something up if you wanted. Really up to you.
