Bio

Hello! I'm LadyRunic! But you knew that...

I love most types of Role Play, but by far my favorites are those that are well thought out and worked with. Especially when you can find a group you can work well with. I love books- So many books. It's a running bet that I will become buried under a pile of said objects one day... I'm a tad busy, and when an Rp really catches my interest I'm inpatient for posts. It's like reading a good book and getting stuck on a cliff hanger.

You can generally expect posts regularly once a week if not more.

I've RP'd for the better part of fourteen years, so I can honestly say I have some experience and I've developed the understanding of what I expect of a partner in a one-on-one or a group. I'm also the sort who will speak up and point out something if it looks off or forms a problem to me. I spent most of a year once stuck in a Voice Chat Rp that was hell on Earth, so I'm straight forward when I need to say something. I expect this in return from my Rpers and DMs. I want to improve my writing and love constructive criticism.

@Kaalee That's what I meant, not like taiga as a tree type.

@Emma I mean the fae type. So there's no or minimum confusion there.

@Aleranicus Accepted.

@Dead Cruiser Accepted then, I would not that in his age. Ents may consider themselves another race, but I warn you this will place them at odds with many other Fae and his own Court. Fae are Fae and if Ents hold a high and mighty position the others will not care for it one bit.
@Kaalee Still, think about it. Taiga would go with Spring or Fall if not winter itself. Most likely they would be Fall as they are Unseelie. Also Taiga dryad would be a taiga tree.
@Emma No Fall Court Queen. Tegvan has no queen and he is already King and Rule of that realm.

@Aleranicus I'm going to need a age, a time zone or era. I don't have a age on Tegvan because I'm using him to drive the story for you guys. A babysitter/guide if you will.

@Dead Cruiser A few things, One. When I mention history I am NOT going to be 100% Accurate, because this a RP and not a history book and I am rusty on on some things. Two, Ents CANNOT be another race. Ents are Fae. They are ancient yes, but all Fae Folk are in their own way. Three. The titles; I was going for titles most of us know. Ie. Duke, Lord, Baron.

@Kaalee You can have A taiga forest not a giant swath of Forest. Taiga belongs the the Winter Court.

@Emma Ruler of a certain race? No. They are heads of families and sometimes head of a species but they aren't rulers. Though what Havok said abuot the Elders is correct. And she sounds like a Daemon. PM me her details and I'll tell you want Court.

Also everyone. GIVE ME AGES. No age means I'm not going to look. I didn't give Tegvan an age due to using him to help get this show moving- and other reasons which will be revealed as we get into the story and Tegvan's backstory is revealed more.

Barons (fall and winter) Knights (spring) and Lords (Summer)

Correction there, All season has knights or champions. Their commanders in battle. Lords also exist in all courts, the Dukes are generally those who could potentially vie for the throne. Lords are below them and Barons below them. Knights are a class all their own and are traditionally Season-born, or Fae bound humans back in the day. King Authur, Mordred, Morgana, Merlin for a few. King Henry (That guy who killed his wives?) the Fae got him. Bloody Mary was being turned into a Season born, before her death. Ben Franklin? He was Fae touched as well though he figured out the iron clause and was able to negotiate well with the Fair Folk.

ALSO! Post CS and I shall accept them or nit-pick them (You have warned). There really is no limit to the people we have until it starts getting crowded. And Havok I know you mixed up your name to mess with me!

CS:
Name: Aisling NĂ Cheallaighe, "She who is born of ashes"

Race (Human or Type of Fae): Human

Position (In court if you are a fae, Any fae outside of a court will be under extreme pressure): Servant to Tegvan O'Aenges-Mor

Age: 61, looks 17-19

Personality (Fae type has effect): A once proud young woman, she was bent to the task of serving O'Aenges-Mor quickly. Still she snarks at her Lord Fae, and is more than willing to question him and his orders. But she knows any out right disloyalty could get her killed and if he were to die she would wish to perish soon after without his protection in the Fae Courts. She is sharp to others of lesser rank than she, and is wise to the way of the fae. A must within their realm.

Appearance: Thick red hair falls to her waist and frames grey eyes. Pale skin from time spent with the Fall Court. She generally wears a heavy gown of dark green or brown with a cloak of grey. Dressing in the style of Victorian times. She appears and actually physically is around her seventeenth or nineteenth year. It is uncertain when she stopped aging after she was brought into the fae courts. She is a bit on the shorter side, and is petite.

Background: Aisling was born to a wealthy family and had a very lovely childhood. She never had want for anything, but when she had fallen for a young man and learned a horrible truth that jeopardized her privileged life she panicked. Fleeing to the forest she sought solace while trying to comfort herself with something. It was there she was found by Tegvan O'Aenges-Mor of the Fae. She offered him anything, if only to grant her the answer to her problem. He gave her the promised answer and took her to the realm of the Fae as payment. She has served him ever since.

Name: Tegvan O'Aenges-Mor

Race (Human or Type of Fae): Fall-born Fae

Position (In court if you are a fae, Any fae outside of a court will be under extreme pressure): King of the Fall Court

Age: Unknown

Personality (Fae type has effect): Sharp as a blade, quick as a snake, Tegvan rules his Court with a iron fist and is more than willing to employ almost tyrannical means to get his Fae followers in line. His is swift with justice, and swifter with vengeance. He has a cruel amusement and enjoys the 'finer' things in life. Not to say he is without mercy. He doesn't even know the meaning of the word.

Appearance: A tall fae, he appears as a dark shadowy form, or as a dark skinned fae with black armor some say is made of dim grey starlight. His ears have definite points and his nails as well. His eyes are the fall storms and his teeth are sharp as a blades. Ravens are said to be his cloak of feathers and his voice is said to be the rushing wind. In his glimmer spell, he takes the appearance of a tall man, with short black hair and pale blue eyes. His skin is periously pale and with high cheek bones and an arrow straight nose. His ears are however not pointed in the glimmer spell, rather human shaped and size. He usually wears something matching the current time, for the present it is dark jeans, black boots, and a loose grey shirt. His build is not bulky like the winter fae but rather well muscled and toned.

Background: Tegvan O'Aenges-Mor is a ancient and powerful Fae. Little is known about him and why he took on a human pet is less understood. He is not a fae to cross though he does have his good points. Often putting out small prizes for the fae that messes the best with Spring and Summer Court, and dancing about the politics with the grace of a falling leaf. No one is certain how long he has held the throne but all have seen the tormented Fae who tried to take it from him. Their final moments imprisoned in artwork. He has no mercy, but is more than willing to listen to the lesser Fae before considering their points. Tegvan is not a Fae to cross and he makes that well known. But within him is a deep sorrow well hidden by the many, many years he has walked the earth and Fae Realm.
Oh trust me you'll sign your soul away sooner or later.

As for Ents, they are much like Tolkien's Ents. I have a bit of Lore planned out as I am playing the Fall King and his hall contains Red Wood Ents that have fallen into a eternal sleep. You'll understand when we start why and how they came to be there. Tegvan is one of my best characters.
Ignore what? *Clueless*
They're essentially Ents, so yes. And as for which Court, it would depend on the type of tree.
Yeah, They would be Spring, Summer of Fall court.
"Oh come and dance in our ring. Forget your troubles, gladness bring. The mortal world which you have ties. Behind you lies, behind you lies."

People disappear from time to time into the forests or mountains never to be seen again. We just file a missing person report and move on, usually they don't come back, but sometimes they do. They may be found in such a state to be declare mentally unstable, or perhaps they are dismissed as having some 'out-of-body' experience. They talk about spirits and gods, certain they exist or that there is a higher order telling them what to do do. Preposterous right?

But what if there was? We can't see it, we don't believe in it, but it's there and we know it. Through tiny gaps, small little openings in the veil, we can stumble through. A circle of stones or trees, a ring of mushrooms, or perhaps some old ruins. Perhaps we run into something out in the wilderness, confused and begging for help. We agree to something without knowing the price. But what is it? Where is it? The Fae is what and where. The Fae Realm and it's courts. The Fall, Winter, Spring and the Summer Court. The Seelie and Unseelie Courts. Within this realm promises are binding, prices must be paid, iron is a deadly threat, and lying will only cause you more trouble than it is worth.

I should know better than any, the laws of the Fae are iron in their own might and breaking them is far more than foolish. The power struggles are constant and nothing is forgotten, not by the Fae anyways. Who am I? It doesn't matter any more. I am merely a servant of the Unseelie court, someone who watches and serves the true king. I don't even know if I'm human any more, or if I ever was. My name is spun from his lips and I must hasten to do as I am bid, may you never fall into their grasp.

"Grasp the iron that they fear. Raise it high, they won't come near. Flee the forests and keep away. Else with the fairy you will stay."

-More Information on this Realm-

No nicey-nice Fae that laugh and help each other while discovering the magic of friendship. Fae are ancient creatures that are well known for deceit and deception. They all want their lot in life to be the best for them. It's very rare that they will put another before them. However this does not mean they are power hungry. If a Court has a stable Ruler they will keep that ruler so long as the ruler gives them reason to keep themselves in place. Power, prosperity, and politics.

Each Court has their own type of personality, power. To reflect their season. Spring is the most childish and flighty, Summer's energy with Winter's ruthlessness. They are vain, and iron in their will-much like a stubborn child. Summer is hot-headed, vibrant, vain. Honorable and ready to fall for romance (Midsummer night and all). They prefer entertainment to work. Fall is the twilight and the hunt, sneaky and cunning. Winter is the cold and aloof season. The firmest and most ridged in it's rule. They are realistic, they dislike distraction to their work.

Fae powers vary but there is a general rule of thumb the old the Fae the more power they have. Survival of the fittest and all.

Names have power and uttering someone full name, given by them allows Fae (and restricts them should a human know it) to control and essential press a life of indenture upon the being whose name is known.

Iron. Cold, pure iron will kill a Fae. If it isn't pure, or flakes of iron it will merely burn a fae. A circle of iron can keep a Fae out or in. Only Gremlins and other Metal-touched Fae are able to shape or even touched iron without pain or death, Gremlins are masters of bending magical property into metal, and are equally talented in dismantling and Repairing machines. They are often killed or bound, due to this fact.

Promises are binding, and breaking a promise is deadly in most cases. If you owe a fae, you Forever owe a fae, and there is a magic in it that they can force you to pay up until debt is payed. Most Fae will speak carefully so such a thing does not happen. Promises and favors are essentially currency in the Fae Realm. Everything must be given with a fair trade- of a sort.

All Fae have a Glimmer, an outer look, bestowed by magic to make them hard to notice, or change how they look. This is often used in the mortal realm by the more powerful of the Fair Folk.

Also, Never called them faeries. They hate that.

Fae artifact Grow, and EVENTUALLY gain sentience, able to pick its own master, and warps its own magic. The older, the stronger and smarter. Essentially an ancient fae weapon... IS a fae. Touch NOTHING in a fae home.

"DON'T TOUCH IT, DON'T TOUCH IT, DON'T TOU- ooh shiny!" then DEAD - Havok The Foolish (A dear friend and my drafting board for this idea)

Fae and humans may cross to the Mortal and Fae Realm by gates. Ancient pathways the Fae built through their human puppets- such as Stone Henge (locked), the lake of Avalon (Opened during misty days due to the weather factor being required) or the Pyramids (Broken). Some of these gates have been destroy in Fae wars, locked away by their creators, or just not used and sitting there waiting for mortals to wander through without realizing. There are other gates, spawned by the shift of Realms as they touch each other. These may change from time to time.

Now hopefully you all aren't thrown off because of that detail but I've been tossing this idea about and I wanted to make sure I had all my bases covered. So sorry! But if you have any more questions please ask and I shall answer! Now who is interested?
No idea what that is, could you explain it please?
