Bio

Hello! I'm LadyRunic! But you knew that...

I love most types of Role Play, but by far my favorites are those that are well thought out and worked with. Especially when you can find a group you can work well with. I love books- So many books. It's a running bet that I will become buried under a pile of said objects one day... I'm a tad busy, and when an Rp really catches my interest I'm inpatient for posts. It's like reading a good book and getting stuck on a cliff hanger.

You can generally expect posts regularly once a week if not more.

I've RP'd for the better part of fourteen years, so I can honestly say I have some experience and I've developed the understanding of what I expect of a partner in a one-on-one or a group. I'm also the sort who will speak up and point out something if it looks off or forms a problem to me. I spent most of a year once stuck in a Voice Chat Rp that was hell on Earth, so I'm straight forward when I need to say something. I expect this in return from my Rpers and DMs. I want to improve my writing and love constructive criticism.

you don't need to, as long as you don't double post. If we get a few more RPers, I may expand that to 2, 3 or 4 posts being needed between yours, but for now not double posting is fine.

"Welcome to Xavier's Home for Unwanted Mutants."

Hearing someone below her current perch. Des looked down, a arched brow raised in mock sternness. "I prefer 'for Tossed to the Curb Mutant' thank you. Much more accurate! Well, at least for the second time around!" Tilting her head in almost bird like manner, she studied the older teen. Was he a threat to her? Hardly, she scolded herself. She would be gone before he did a thing. Then again, it never hurt to check. "So what are you in for? Setting the neighbor on his roof? Making the furniture talk?" She chuckled halfheartedly. "Round us all up and toss us in this place for something." Des muttered under her breathe, more to herself than anyone else. Her eyes drifting from the students to the older boy and vice versa.
Are we holding to a posting order? @TheUnknowable
@TheUnknowable I see no reason not to.
@TheUnknowable That post alright?
Keeping away from the other students, Des look at the school with disgust in her eyes. School for the Gifted, pah. More like a place to shuttle the people like her. Her own mother hadn't even bothered to speak or look at her. Just shuffled her off to the easiest direction. The thing that scared Desdemona was how little that hurt. She had gotten over the rejection easily. There had never been any true love there. Simple suspicion and mutual resentment. Shifting the bag of clothes on her shoulder, courtesy of the police taking back to her 'home' and by sheer laziness of her mother not to have tossed anything out. Well, perhaps not laziness... Des still could smirk at the protests that she had cursed the room and her darling mother dare not tread there. She didn't even know her own daughter's powers.

Slipping between two chattering groups of mutants, she bounded up the steps with too long legs. Fifteen and only six inches shy of six feet. Des cursed her height as being the reason she got noticed. Shoving her way into the school she deftly followed the flow to the dormitories. Finding her room she tossed the bag on the bed closest to her as she flung the window open. Sitting in the window frame she swung a leg outside the other propped up with the rest of her. There really wasn't any danger of falling. Mussing over life she sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. If she didn't like it she would leave. Wings and claws were all she needed. Light brown eyes softened slightly. She wasn't trapped, and that thought gave her comfort. "Perhaps this will be interesting." She mussed, watching the arriving students below her.
Yup
@OnlyThePie I'm not saying it will happen, I'm saying people will attempt it. I made it very clear it was a possibility in the Interest Check, and in Selwyn's character sheet. And I'm standing by that. Yes a new Dark Lord may appear, especially since power is a potential requirement for freeing Melkor. A role Selwyn could fulfill herself, but will not because of whom she is. It's not fitting to rise beyond what Melkor had in mind. Especially when it's key right now her influence is underhanded. Also, another point to bring up. It will take time. Could be months or more likely yet years, perhaps the better part of an Age.
Would anyone be interested in starting up a Star Wars RP with this sketchy plot? I'm not fully informed on all the Star Wards Lore, so I'll be doing a crap ton of research and looking for a Co-Dm to help me run this.

The New Jedi Order have pushed the Sith to the brink of extinction after the remnants of Darth Krayt's followers tried to topple the Galactic Federation Triumvirate through their influence. Soon they learned their influence was non existent/ The Sith numbers dwindled under a persecution of Alliance, Chriss, and Jedi forces till what remained were small cults and tribes that practiced the dark ways quietly in the Unknown Regions. Some worshiping the Sith as fallen Gods, other awaiting the day the dark would rise again. The Jedi were wary that the Sith were not truly gone, remembering Dath Bane's 'Rule of Two". As they feared, Holocrons pass on the knowledge of the Sith being uncovered by explorers of the Unknown Regions and the like after centuries. They dated beyond even Revan's Empire.

It is much later when we begin. The Sith are shadows and legends. Will a warrior of Darkness rise to create a new Order of Sith Lords? A empire of a like the galaxy has never seen? Or will the Jedi prevail and crush the Sith once more? Or will politics over flow and the Galaxy enter civil war?

Character Sheet (Keep up dated)

Name:
Age, Gender, Race:
Height/Weight: Make weight and height proportional
Faction/Rank:
Force Sensitive:
Lightsaber/Sword Forms: Add in the forms as you learn them.
Appearance: What we can see, No pictures, please, unless you find a picture that actually 100% matches your character. Which, if you care about your character, you are highly unlikely to accomplish. Unless you're an artist. In which case, go for it. Remember distinguishing marks.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Must have both
Equipment: Appearance is just what we see; not all equipment is seen. Let us know what you have so you don't just so happen to have exactly what the situation calls for. Including what we can see.
Personality: In a paragraph or two describe your character's personality. Keep it updated.
Biography: The history of your character. Also a good opportunity to discuss how they came to learn whatever skills and abilities they have.

Also, please be on regularly. Inability will slow down the Rp and your character will be DM'd by me until I can remove it from the Rp reasonably. If you're going away or not going to be about for a time PM me. Please set your character off to the side so the Rp can continue, if you can't that's alright. Just tell me so I don't thrown it down with the trash to be compacted. We all know how that goes.
-Darcyn-

As the odd man approached him, Darcyn gave a hoot of laughter. "Make it worth, my while an' I'll tell you!" He waved the mug under the man's nose. "Whot a mun like yen need wiv' a group of Orc Hunters? Some nasty snatch up yer farm wife?" Several other of the men chuckled at Darcyn's comments. Darcyn merely smirked secure in his own superiority, never minding how right or wrong it was. This was just a poor fool, probably offering turnips for payment. If his wife was nabbed? It wasn't Darcyn's problem, the man did not seem to be able to make it worth his while. Then again, a twisted sort of thought entered the man's mind. "I've got sum'thing fer yen though. Can yen fight laddie?" If this man wanted something, Darcyn could well recruit him! Build up a group of Orc Hunters to follow him! What a clever idea his ale ridden mind could produce! He was patting himself on the back mentally for this.

-Selwyn-

The cloaked figure watched the tavern, glad someone had shut up the brawdy man. If they hadn't she had been tempted to swat him upside the head and make him stay down. Perhaps for life even. The rain pounded outside as she listened to the news. A nearby Orc attack, a thief had been in town, more rain was on the way. Her lip curled with annoyance. The Orcish attack was of little value of her, and the rest of what she picked up was less so. As she kept listening she only grew more disgusted with the noise and stench that the race of Man gave off. She would leave once things calmed. The rain was still festering outside and she was far more interested in a excuse to beat the life out of someone. Selwyn mussed, she was not bad tempered typically but she had little to no good news and even fewer good days. The shorter lived races grew too bold. Too brazen as they moved further into Orc and Uruk-hai territories. Her lands, and the lands of her Dark Lord. It was insulting, but it was not time yet for a full attack, first she would awaken Melkor then perhaps other dark forces. Once that was done... She banished the thought, it was not time for it. It was time to focus on the bright light and noise menfolk.
