Personal Description: A mousy little nerd of a sorcerer, though he is widely regarded as the most powerful sorcerer in the world, he has never been a social butterfly. Avoiding the gaze of other people, refusing to talk, ignoring romantic advances. It seems very likely that he is deeply emotionally stunted. He's an incredibly business savvy individual, as well as a phenominally skilled sorcerer. It seems that the powers that be decided to compensate for his total inability to properly communicate with other people.
There's a noteworthy little detail about his personality. He doesn't actually have an inability to speak to people. Nigel is a terrible, despicable person. Nigel can't stand other people, he can't believe that he is from the same race as other Tuzimians. In fact, he can't believe that he's from the same plane of existence as any other being.
What seems like a mousy nerd is actually a deviant with a god complex. There's not a doubt in his mind that he is a superior being, viewing ever other lifeform that he meets as a lesser being. Something to be submitted to his will.
What seems to be an emotional detachment is actually a refusal to speak to any entity that isn't at least close to his level of ability.
If he sees you as worthy of speaking to, Nigel is vicious. Speaking in short sentences with bitter tongues. The few people that he has had full conversations speak of him as though he were the devil in disguise.
Physical Description: Nigel is as awkward physically as he is personally. Skin greasy and pale, with a cold and clammy feel about him. Nigel looks like he's constantly sweating, even in the coldest of rooms. He's rather thin and gangly, with a slightly chubby body and thin arms and legs. With very large hands and feet. Heavily balding, he is crowned with a failed combover of strawberry blond curly hair. It seems that his hair, too, is greasy. As it shines rather brightly regardless of ambient light, making him stick out like a sore thumb at night.
His face is, well, below average at best. Not hideous, but definitely unkempt and unsettling. Starting from the top of his face. His forehead stretches far longer than it should, due to his balding head. His eyes are a muddy brown, there are a few particularly long veins noticable in both of his eyes. He wears half-moon spectacles that perpetually hang at the edge of his nose. Speaking of his nose, his nose is hooked downwards and a bit too long and wide for his face. He's got a small mole on the right hand side just above his right nostril.
With a small mustache that has never been waxed or combed above his lip, it hangs just over his mouth. This mustache doesn't actually conceal his rather sizeable overbite. The tips of his upper teeth can be seen hanging just over his bottom lip. Nigel, despite being rather thin, has a double chin.
His manner of dress would be high quality, if it were fitted. . .And matching. Nigel wears a very ill fitted suit that barely fits him at all. The jacket is too large, hanging off of his shoulders. It is left totally unbuttoned. The sleeves dangle past his wrists. Normally he keeps the sleeves rolled up past his elbows. Notable is the color of the coat. It is a pinstriped black jacket. The trousers are no better. A dark blue pair of pants with flat color, they're too tight and too short. They cling to his legs and expose his socks too far up.
The undershirt is white and buttoned all the way to the way up, leaving no button undone. Around his neck is an untied bow-tie. His shoes are terribly dirty, once shiny and glossy black they are covered almost entirely in light-brown dust.Upon closer inspection, one would notice that he too is covered in a thin sheen of dust from head to toe.
In battle, he becomes significantly more intimidating. While his actual appearance doesn't change, he becomes wrapped in violent thrashing tornadoes of dust. Whipping his clothing and what little hair h has around, giving him an almost otherworldly appearance. The dust often takes the form of massive wings that stretch nearly twelve feet in both directions.

Powers: Tremendous Sorcerous Potential: The Recess Bloodline has been renowned as one of the most skillful and powerful families in the world. They have made tremendous advances in the field of sorcery, and they have always been world leaders, politicians, businessmen, and sorcery scientists. It was not until Nigel that their family peaked, with the unique ability of Dust sorcery, he has become one of the most notable sorcerers in the world.
With power that outstrips the powers of other sorcerers three fold, his potential lies in the magic that is totally unique to him. A combination of earth and wind magics, the wind breaks down the earth and creates a significantly more powerful magic.
Unlike wind magic, it has tremendous weight. The dust that is carried by the wind is incredibly impactful, nearly all of the space within the wind that he controls is taken up by the particulated earth. Meaning that while it just looks like normal air that is being weaved around his body, it is actually a tremendously dangerous tornado of grinding winds.
Dust Projectiles: Like all sorcerers, Nigel can weave the elements to his bidding. Firing off missiles of dust that have different effects based on their shape. They all move at 300 mph and carry roughly 10 tons of force, how that force and speed is distributed depends on the shape. Every single projectile, as well, is as strong as granite of comparable thickness. Can be fired at the same rate as a boxer's punches.
- Sphere: Two feet in diameter, it is a perfect spheroid of dust. It hits like a cannonball, and carries force. Pushing people back, potentially breaking bones and throwing them aside if it catches them on the edge.
- Javelinr: Five feet long, four inches thick at its widest. Like a real javelin, he fires it and it penetrates through soft tissue. Denting armor and can possibly skewer multiple people at the same time.
- Blade: Five feet wide, totally flat. Thrown in a straight line, it cleaves through flesh and can easily decapitate a normal human being.
- Spiral: The reverse of a javelin, this is a spinning tornado of wind that is five feet long and five feet wide. While not as impactful as the sphere, this is more a pushing force. If it's totally successful, it can shove someone forward with force and send then spinning off into the distance. Not particularly damaging, but uniquely effective and zoning.
Dust Flight: By creating a tornado of dust underneath his feet, Nigel can lift himself up into the air. Allowing him long distance high speed flight. Up to seventy miles per hour, and up to a height of 45 feet in the air. The slight difference in air pressure makes him sustaining his own weight in the air difficult. The secondary effect of this tornado is a short range AoE destruction of anything underneath his feet. Tearing the earth apart beneath the tornado. The ground is pulverized and broken up into particulates that add to the tornado's mass. Excess mass is thrown off in all directions once it reaches critical mass.
The Tornado shifts around his body if he changes his angle. He's even capable of standing on his hands or head all while maintaining flight.
Dust Laceration Blast: A very long range slash of wind that begins in his very core and is breathed through his mouth, molded by his hands, and fired in a long sustained stream from his hands. Functioning the exact same as a tornado, Dust Laceration tears up the earth for up to 150 yards in a straight line. The stream is five feet wide and follows his hand movements very inaccurately. The tornado follows the direction of his hand movement, but is too wild and out of control. The tornado moves in wide circular movements as it follows his hand waves. Like a normal tornado, it picks up debris and smashes it against whatever it passes over and through. It can carry over 40 tons of matter, but it can only pick up 500 lbs of matter at any given moment. Dust Laceration blast takes three turns of startup, and lasts five.
Combat Sorcery: A derivative of Martial Arts and Sorcery. Formed from naturally meshing the sorceries that are commonplace among Tuzimians with their own physicality. Enhancing their natural abilities and creating a spectacular show of physical combat. Every strike and dodge is followed or preceded by the element that they are most comfortable with, and while Combat Sorcery has innumerable variations, there are many similarities between all of the various forms.
The particular form that Nigel uses is a fusion of an Earth Stance and a Wind Stance. Combining the hard movements of Earth and the fluidity of Wind, making his every strike harsh and precise. The basic list of movement enhancements and effects are as follows.
- Dust Strikes: Either preceding or following his strikes, these blows of dust carry significantly more force than his punches could ever offer on their own. While he is superhuman in strength, these strikes carry several tons of force. Twelve tons each, to be exact. If the strike comes before his strike, it increases his reach by one foot. If it follows, it strikes off to the side by a few inches. Meaning that ever following blow is a feint.
Dust strikes are the bread and butter of his martial stance. They allow him to trade blows opponents who would normally far outclass him in strength. Dust strikes are not limited to just his hands and feet, even headbutts can be enhanced. - Dust Shift: By pushing powerful gusts of dust against his own body, he can redirect strikes mid swing. Redirected strikes carry a little less force than normal strikes, since the momentum is dropped when the winds push against him.
Unless he uses the dust not to redirect, but move his own body around. By shifting the dust around his body and combining it with Dust Strikes, Nigel can move his body in unnatural ways. Shifting himself around, reaching impossible angles for striking. Nigel has even demonstrated the ability to fight upside down. - Dust Acceleration: Sacrificing the impact of Dust Strikes in favor of rapid weaker blows, Dust acceleration works by producing four smaller blasts of dust around his hands and feet. When he strikes with his hands or feet while using Dust Acceleration, the four small blasts of air strike out in a spiral of air. Striking four times after his first strike. Obviously they are visible tangible objects that can be avoided, however, once his fist or foot has made contact with you they are not short behind. They only carry one ton of force each, but can be chained with follow-ups.
- Dust Barrier: The defensive option to Dust Strikes, a shield of wind that can be raised in front of his hands or feet. This shield allows him to reduce the effectiveness of stronger attacks. Deflecting any projectile weaker than an Howitzer round and entirely negating blasts of flame. Physical strikes must overcome the wind current to get through, a wind current of 500 mph. The shield actually sandblasts whatever passes through, so getting through is a nightmare. it is, however, only two feet wide and is totally circular. It is not a full body shield, and only forms in front of his hands or below his feet.
- Dust Blast: A purely offensive short range cone of dust that forms from both hands, like a miniature tornado. This blast of dust works like liquid sandpaper, grinding rather than pummeling. It's like trillions of tiny needles scraping across anything that gets caught inside. Carrying five tons of force sustained over five seconds, if a human were caught in it they would be stripped of all of their flesh and thrown several dozen yards away. It can only be used every 45 seconds. Its range is seven feet from the palms of his hands.
Physical Ability:Tuzimians are on average physically superior to humans, their evolution was interfered with by the Draconians. They demonstrate fantastic but not unreasonable physical ability, like a race of superior beings is expected to be. This is where Nigel actually lacks compared to his own race. Nigel isn't physically superior to anyone, except maybe a child. Though still beyond human.
Strength: 1 ton lifting weight. 1.4 tons benchpress. Enough force behind a punch to crack concrete and bend iron. Nigel prefers to let his sorcery do the fighting for him, instead of actually dirtying his hands.
Speed: 28 mph running. 35 mph sprinting. Able to run for 30 minutes and sprint for 4. His stamina usage is pretty high while running and sprinting. Speed while flying is listed above.
Stamina: Able to sustain a fight for up to two hours. Gradually growing slower and weaker as time passes. Once he reaches his limits he'll still be capable of fighting, but with very little effect. Use of sorcery does decrease the amount of time that he can fight, as it uses up stamina. If he uses too many powerful attacks he begins running out of fuel after just twelve minutes.
Sturdiness: With the ability to survive punches from people in the 30 ton class, he's incredibly tough. However, he's still mortal. Beating him to death even without that much strength is entirely possible.
Backstory: The Recess Family is Ancient Money. Not Old Money, they've been around for three hundred years, fourteen generations of money and power. They're a hugely influential family that has changed the course of history at least once per generation. Altering political standings, starting and ending wars, creating huge advances in science and sorcery, even creating entire kingdoms that rose and fell.
Nigel Recess was born in the year 1987, his childhood was set from birth. When he was just a toddler he demonstrated magic that is totally unique to him. His parents brought him to the finest tutors in the land, payed for an education that allowed Nigel to become a successful businessman. Even though he was vehemently opposed to actually speaking to other people.
Somehow during his years of business, he's managed to become one of the most powerful sorcerers to ever live. Only once has he ever demonstrated this ability. It was during a conference with some of the most powerful men in the world, both literally and figuratively powerful. A demonstration that left him with a mark upon his name, respect and hatred from across the globe.
A terrorist organization knew of the meeting, everyone in the world did. They knew that they would get recognition if they successfully killed the most powerful men in the world in one foul swoop. They burst in on live television, a pack of thirty men with powerful sorceries of their own. Armed to the teeth with guns and magic, they began firing upon the world leaders.
After the smoke had settled, massive tornado of dust erupted from the still standing Nigel. Evicerating the men where they stood and as they ran. Most of the world leaders had been fatally wounded, but Nigel stood unscathed. From then on, Nigel was regarded as a phenominally talented sorcerer. The most powerful in the world.
And with most of the world leaders gone, Nigel began his campaign of taking over the world. One day at a time.
