@ImportantNobody
AYE, THAT WAS ME :V

Gigliotti the Noodle Knight, and I loaned Braud Wurst the Meat Mage to Thebiddz.

We entered during Craptonofgames's reign of shit decision making.

I'm a deal with important stuff in the morning, right now I can barely type my arms are so tired.
@Negatomsk
I get that, I HAVE that kind of character. His name is Might.Here's his sheet.

But there's one distinct difference.

Might gets weaker against weak opponents.

Blythe doesn't.

Blythe's baseline is higher than most mid tiers, if you had to chop her down to make her fit for this particular setting I'm loathe to wonder what her actual ability IS. Honestly, I'm not being a dick here am I?

The powerset isn't broken in and of itself, it's just that the rules of engagement that are laid down for EVERYONE, are totally defied by this particular powerset. It's an unfortunate side effect of trying to make a system that includes everyone.

Because you can't.

Because it's impossible to create a setting where everything is fair and just.

I like Blythe, I really do, but without an upper and lower limit to her abilities. She's broken in this setting.

I'm sorry if this comes off as rude, but to be honest you're being rude too.
@Doc Doctor
I have not forgotten this roleplay, I will be posting in the morning or afternoon.
@Negatomsk
I never once added anything to the sheet, I read exactly what was written.

But neither did I say that it was intrinsically broken.

In fact.

I said the exact opposite.

The powers themselves are good, I just need an upper limit. Because she totally dunks on the concept of upscaling your fights.

What am I talking about?

I made this rule of engagement.

If you are a lower tiered character, you can fight a higher tier character with a teammate.

Well.

The big fucking problem with her particular powerset is that her base strength already trumps most mid tiers and most upper mid tiers.

If she fights multiple mid tiers, she's automatically equally as good as the pair of them combined. To put the icing on the cake?

She can become stronger, faster, and more durable than them in an instant. Why? Her burst mode.

Burst modes are okay in a setting where they are common. They also generally have drawbacks, the best of them generally kill them.

Fury's burst mode eats himself.

Kanitah's puts too much strain on his heart. (Though this isn't listed, after a dozen turns his heart stops.)

But Blythe's doesn't have that, and that too is a problem.

I know I'm gradually picking your sheets apart, both Blythe and Alex, but I'm not trying to be rude. I'm trying to be fair to the other players. Just because your group is okay with this tier, but I know for a fact the majority of the standing community avoids it like the plague.

I love high tier, and I'd fight literally any one of your characters in a slugfest with my high tier characters any day of the week. But this isn't just MY roleplay. This is OUR roleplay.
@MelonHead

Your character is pretty goddamn OP, what with the whole immediately killing anything he touches, "amplifying his force", and having unlimited energy. (He totally does, don't even try and deny it at this point.) He's got the ability to shoot lasers, accompanied with a list 2 miles long. And to top it off, ridiculous strength whenever he touches a character. (Which with super speed and ridiculous speed, he always does. Surprise.)

I remember that post from the old arena. Dragqueen got real mad at you. He joined the RP since he was my friend, but he got mad once he realized that he wasn't in the same weight class as you and I. Love Drag to death, but he got real salty real fast. He got salty at both you and @GreivousKhan for no good reason.

Good times.

I think the old Arena was literally cursed, because that was countless hours of arguments.

It was literally the human condition in its most bared form.

But anyway.

@Negatomsk
While I CAN TECHNICALLY accept Blythe. Because I understand how she works, and I do understand that I can trust you to not abuse it. What I can't accept is that it's literally a caveat. Her rule is that she's always stronger or faster and just all around physically superior to the person she's fighting, which leads to some really intense debate. Since it's always imbalanced in a fight that doesn't involve some sort of ranged combat.

This is a caveat, a proviso that makes her "not OP."

Unfortunately, because she needs one in this particular setting, it IS OP. Dunnaman could fight her, he's armed and has decent range and speed for a high tier.

Liu? He couldn't fight her. It wouldn't even be considered a fight, she'd pop his head like a grape.

I love high tier combat, it's my specialty. I enjoy writing a bit of realistic insane combat because I love tearing apart cities with my characters. It's more fun than I can aptly describe.

But regulating them is a chore, if they aren't properly limited. I'd be okay with her being exclusively high tiered, but as she's balanced, she starts off intermediate and quickly accelerates into high tier as the fight drags on.

Since a good number of characters are punchy guys who like punching stuff, she's unbeatable to anyone who isn't going to tear her apart like Ronda Rousey was.

@Enki
Melon's right though, I gave reasons why Corban is acceptable and why Alex and Blythe aren't.

Blythe because she's not intrinsically broken, her damage potential is. If you play league of legends, she's like Nasus. If Nasus gets too many stacks, he's unstoppable.

Alex is intrinsically broken in the regards that we have no actually gauge on his power level.

Edit: This is why I don't comment much anymore. Any time that I show up and actually speak, everyone just miraculously goes offline simultaneously.
@DLL Dude it took me two weeks and three days to actually post, I couldn't be happier to see that you're even still interested in this. Take your time man, it just makes this game into a pretty unique kinda strategy game.
@Enki
There's a difference between Vague descriptions of manipulation of basic magics to vague descriptions of physiological and psychological ability.

Vague descriptions generally spells out a broad coverage of that form of magic. Since most folks understand that form of magic, we get the concept. We can trust that they won't do anything outside of the boundaries of that magic because we all KNOW the boundaries.

See?

But the problem is. With just one ability, we get one big problem. Let's take a look:
-----Enhanced senses- It could be said that due to this new spiritual awakening a new sense of awareness was born. Exact details are unknown at this time.

This could literally mean anywhere from seeing at 2x human reaction speed to literal precognition. You quite literally gave no details. In fact you mentioned that you're not giving details.

See the problem here?
@Enki
Well the problem is, I thought you were asking about your first sheet. Which I greenlighted.

Though I did make it abundantly clear during the Xenom thing a couple months back.

I don't support blind roleplaying. If your sheet isn't clear and concise about your characters abilities, I cannot and will not accept it. This was going to be a rule, but I thought I wouldn't have to deal with it.

It makes judgement literally impossible, which makes my job literally impossible.

@Divinity

I was joking about the enforcer thing.

Dunnaman was a power vacuum when he was sucked back into reality by @Rilla's space train. This power vacuum lead to him becoming an actual vacuum for a time, sucking the energy out of matter and growing in size. Both fatter and taller. It wasn't until he stumbled upon Dorirum, an unnatural crystal that grows in my mythos. It serves as an energy conduit, when he touched it, it released some of his latent stored energy.

Well, long story short in the two years of life that he remembers, Dunnaman has gotten back in shape and has learned how to energize and deenergize inorganic matter.
@Negatomsk
I might challenge her with Might outside of this, just to let you know. Since they have incredibly similar powersets. I'd love to see how that fight would play out, it might be the only true stalemate I've ever had. The one with @Seed is totally up in the air whether or not it was actually going to end in a draw or not. And the ones where the match never actually ended don't count.

I'll need some time to deliberate on her character sheet though.
@MelonHead
Speaking of Alex.

@Enki
I may have accepted Jen, but I never actually got around to reviewing Alex.
