Name: Ythreïn Methreon Age: 27 Gender: Male Race: Dragon-reborn Rather than having inherited the power of a dragon through blood, Ythreïn was ‘reborn’ with the dragon’s power coursing through his veins. This happens when he pledges his life to an Elder Dragon when you’re at the edge of dead.
Side: Dark Titles: Son of Fire. Immolator. Knight of Dragons.
Appearance:
Weapons:
Valermos. The sword of fire. It started out as an average blade, many centuries ago. Wielded by a Methreon before they were a noble house. This seemingly random soldier struck down a demon from hell. This, traditionally enchants the blade with Demon Slayer Magic. Making it very resistant to fire. Thus the young, Unknown Soldier marched on. Encountering other demons, he struck those down too. At the end, he slain 5 demons, for which he was rewarded for. He got his own farm. From there on, the legend of Valermos began. It became a tradition that every Methreon would pick up his father’s sword at some point, and slay a demon from hell with it. Adding to its power.
After he lost his battle with the Elder Dragon of Destruction, Valermos was reforged. The fire resistant magic was scorched away. Instead, Sol’Tuin inscribed the blade with powerful runes. Granting the wielder of Valermos the power over Dragonflames.
Abilities: Dragonflames - With the power from his sword, Ythreïn can summon forth balls, waves or other forms of dragonflames. Which are much harder to exstinguish and burn at a far higher temperature
Young lord of Dragons - as dragon-reborn, Ythreïn has a certain authority over younglings or adolescent dragons. Even though they are fickle in nature sometimes, Ythreïn can force them back in line. Just don’t be surprised if they eat a few allies just because they are hungry. He is often accompanied by 2 youngling dragons, whom are the size of big dogs. They are wingless, have red scales and look very much like oversized lizards. But don’t be fooled. These creatures bite like rabid dogs or breath fire to kill Ythreïn’s enemies.
Hellscape - Ythreïn’s very presence feels like a bright bonfire walking around. The air around him can become extremely hot. The ground gets scorched and burned. Soil dries up and dry shrubs might catch fire if he remains at one point for too long.
Talents Extraordinary swordsman - Taught by both his family and Sol'Tuin, Ythreïn is an exceptionally rutheless swordsman. Wielding Valermos he can easily cut down rows of enemies, and likes doing so.
Personality: Destruction given flesh. Ythreïn wants nothing more than to destroy and annihilate his targets. Be it a person, an order or a city. He’d march forward, kill and burn for the pure delight. He enjoys a good fight though. He just likes killing, burning and destroying more. Hot tempered sometimes. He can lash out towards those of equal rank. He is very much like fire, in the sense that he will obey those who he sees ‘strong’ enough to command him.
Biography: Born from a small but prestigious family. As second son, he could never hold land. As those would go to his older brother. Instead he was trained to become a knight, so one day he may become part of the Kingsguard. As is tradition, he set forwarth to kill a demon at the age of 21. Wielding the sword his father granted him. Ythreïn encountered a village that was complaining about fiery fiend killing and burning. Coming from the hills. They, however, forgot to mention that this particular fiend had wings. Ythreïn marched onto the stone peaks. Where Sol'Tuin quikcly encountered him. The Elder Dragon quickly beat the young knight to an inche of his life. As blood poured from his chest, the dragon made him an offer. Die alone. Never to be found again. With the blade of his family lost. Or be reborn as something stronger. Better.
Ythreïn, naïve as he was, agreed to live. Sol'Tuin cut himself in the front paw and let some blood seep into one of Ythreïn's wounds. Then he breath devestating fires of him. Sol'Tuin's blood protected him from the worst of the flames. But the wounds were quickly catherized. Sol'Tuin's blood invaded Ythreïn's entire body. Fueling a deep human desire to destroy and letting it lose. Thus was the Knight of Dragons born. The last blessing Sol'Tuin gave Ythreïn was reforging his blade. After that, the Elder Dragon fled eastwards. Sensing the rise of the Dark Lord. However, he demanded that Ythreïn remained behind. And if the Dark Lord would encounter him, that he was to serve him as he served Sol'Tuin. This had nothing to do with glory or honor though. Sol'Tuin merely hoped that the destructive power within Ythreïn would be enough so the Dark Lord wouldn't go searching for the Elder Dragon.

Now I'm not in charge so I hold no power, but we do have quite a bit of the undead thing going already on the dark side with a necromancer, an undead and an incomplete character sheet for another undead and a lot Ythreïn's abilities seem to be a little too close to my character for my liking with the cold aura and using the souls of slain enemies. Again I have no power here and you don't have to change anything, but it does concern me. blah blah complaining blah blah.
It's a fair point. i wasn't really sure how many characters were already accepted, or what spots were taken. Thanks for the remark. I'll rework it from another angle.
Name: Ythreïn Methreon Age: 27 Gender: Male Race: Undead Side: Dark. The Frozen Sword. The Wraith Commander. Wallbreaker. Appearance: Weapons:
Istraen. Sometimes refered to as the 'Frozen Sword'. It can trace its roots deep down back into the Methreon family. It started as Kamria. It was forged by an ancient dwarven Forgemaster, who's name is now long forgotten. The runes were imbued by a dwarven Sage. The blade was imbued with the flames from which is was forged: Dragonfire. The many enchantements made sure it would forever retain its edge. Finally, the runes made sure that if the wielder of Kamria would be slain, his soul would be infused into the blade. Making it stronger. Only 4 people were ever slain while wielding Kamria.
The last one was in fact Agron. He was a child - no more than 18 years old - when he wanted to prove himself. He took up his sick father's sword and marched out the door. Onwards to claim his great destiny. He wandered up north, as he heard a dragon was terrorizing a local village. The dragon however, was Kul'Haid. Elder Dragon of the North. The only reason Argon could fight off Kul'Haid for a few moments was the powerful magic in his blade. The Dragonfire protected him, while the souls inside the metal made his attacks ever stronger. But all was in vain, and Kamria fell. Its fire withered and the souls banished from the metal. Kul'Haid saw how powerful the blade was. And began to corrupt it. No longer would it claim the souls of the wielder once slain. Instead it would suck the souls out of the bodies it struck down. The dragonfire was replaced by Dragonice. Thus Kamria was reforged in ice. Making Istraen, the Sword of the North.
Abilities/Powers: Tortured wraiths - From Istraen, Ythreïn is able to bring forth the the souls he slew. In form of small green lights. These tortured souls go forth howling and screaming. Instilling fear and hopelessness in the enemy. Before slamming themselves into the ground with a shivering death cry. Making a small explosion of energy.
Dragonice aura - With the Dragonice imbued in Istraen, the very air around Ythreïn feels cold. Fires wither, candles go out and the morning dew slowly freezes in his presence. It sapps even the greatest men from their warmth. Leaving them exhausted and shivering.
Dark ice - With the slam of his boot, or with the slam of his fist Ythreïn can summon forth dark ice. In the form of a wall or spikes. The ice is not ordinary ice. Imbued with pure darkness, it feels a lot colder and melts very slowly with average fires. Flames made from a strong fire-mage may melt it faster.
Talent(s): Exceptional swordsman - Ythreïn was young and naïve when he left the castle of his parents. He was nothing but a below-average fighter. All that changed with Kul'Haid. Who placed within Ythreïn the many memories he had of knights trying to fight him. Kul'Haid's training with the sword was harsh but succesful.
Personality: Ythreïn now lives for the kill. He looks forward for every battle, and fights as a vanguard at the front. Impulsive and forceful, he would expect anyone below him to have the same feeling. He takes orders from those he deems worth enough to command.
