Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Osamu, once his job was done, slept for eight hours, before waking up with a start, changing clothes, and, clearly in an irritated mood, called Naoki, asking for permission to finally contact...them. He got it, but with a warning to be cautious.

With said permission metaphorically in hand, Osamu the Second, Osamu Akiyama, went to the teleportaion room, set the coordinates to 'Tatooine', and vanished.

------

Horus, Osamu II's Demon partner and boon companion, was a golden hawk that glowed with the power of the Sun, who was as large as a normal human. Flying beside Osamu II, he asked, his magic allowing him to speak the human language:

"Why did we come here, again?" Here being the middle of the city of Mos Espa.

"Because to succeed, we have to do some underhanded dealings, and this is the best place to have them." There was still a note of irritation in Osamu's voice as the 18-year old boy looked around, looking for a contact he had been trying to, well, contact since before Minato Arisato's ressurection...

The pair was approached by the smiling figure of Dagon Rane. He had a calming aura, as if his mere presence made the strange alien bar just a little more friendly. Sitting down at a table near the edge of the canteen, the ambassador of the mysterious organization Osamu had come to meet gestured for the pair to join him. A second gesture in the direction of the bar seemed to produce a pair of drinks. No coins changed hands, the waiter here knew well enough to put it on Dagon's credit. This wouldn't be the first time he did business in the cafe, and it wouldn't be the last.

Still with that calm, expectant smile on his face, Dagon waited for the two to join him before speaking. "So, you must be the representative of the... Mon Alliance?" He spoke the name slowly, as if he found it mildly amusing. "I'm glad you were able to join me here. Please, have a drink on the house. It's the finest wine this place serves, although in my personal opinion wine is too refined a word for it...."

Osamu smiled, and spoke:

"I'm normally a teetotaler, but, well, I suppose alcohol is more sanitary than water in this place," he then took small, careful sips, before continuing:

"Yes, I am the Mon Alliance representative, although I come here in an...under-the-table capacity. You see, there's something we need done under-the-table." The Demon Summoner then waited for a response.

Dagon nodded at the first remark. "And cheaper, as well." He then turned to more serious matters. "I mean no offence, but you really do need assistance. Had I wished you dead, you would have died thrice over already. If you want to become involved with... under-the-table dealings, caution will be your greatest ally." Dagon spoke in a sagely tone of voice, as if he were teaching a schoolchild arithmetics. "Regardless, I represent the interests of a group of people most familiar with these dealings. And my people are rather skilled at getting things done, for a price. So let's talk business, shall we? What is the dirty work of the Mon Alliance?"

As he spoke, he placed a small device on the table, and shifted it forward. It was a metal yoke of some sort, covered in small carved insignias. A small tingle would go up Osamu's spine as the device activated, and instantly the pair seemed to perfectly blend in with the crowd. It was clear that not a word they said would leave this table. To any outsider, the strange people would be simply another group of foreigners having dinner. Not that it was customary to look at other tables in a place frequented by such shady individuals.

Osamu chuckled as he touched the yoke.

"My primary work is as a scientist and sorcerer; neither of which are strictly conductive to stealth. As for the dirty work?" A small flash of anger appeared in Osamu's eyes, but said anger was directed at no one here.

"Tell me, have you heard of the Licht Gruppe?"

"A fanatical group of warriors, loyal to the RoC. Zealouts, by all accounts." Of course, Dagon had never met with the Licht Gruppe in person. But the small army had made quite a reputation for itself throughout the multiverse, and the Harth Collective specialized in acquiring information.

"I want them kept away from me and my faction's business," Osamu said, the resentment growing. "I don't care what methods you use; kill them, distract them, subvert them, just keep them away from me." A shudder of revulsion, but not at his request.

"Wait, make sure that no civilians get killed; that's the only amendment I'll make. Keep them away from me without killing a civilian. In exchange, well...what would you want?"

"Ah, price. That is the most important part of our discussion." Dagon grinned, and a hint of greed could be seen in his expression. Just for a moment, before that friendly mask once more set over his face. While he might not be the avid collector his master was, he had inherited some semblance of his greed. "You possess devices capable of interacting with what you refer to as the Digital World. Digivices, are they not? In addition, you possess matter-energy transfer technology in the form of Pokeballs. Both of these objects represent a technology practically unique in the Multiverse, and things of such rarity can be sold for exorbitant amounts if you have the right contacts."

Of course, this was a lie. The devices would never see outside hands, most likely, and they would be added to Set's massive collection. But people were more relaxed when they thought you were after money. So that's what Dagon said. "In exchange for a shipment of these items, we can achieve any task you wish. If you wish for the Licht Gruppe to fall.... well, you will never have to lay eyes on them again." Dagon chuckled to himself, before giving Osamu a final smile. "Do we have a deal?"

Osamu smiled.

"I know where I can get you a Digivice and some Pokeballs," spoke the 18-year old. I'm just glad you didn't go after a Demon Summoning Program.

"So, yes, a deal; I'll send you what you want in a few hours."

In truth, Dagon had never heard of this program. But he'd retrieve it, in time. All objects of value would end up in his master's vault. "Glad to do business with you."

"Glad to do business with you, too," Osamu was sincere. "So, is the meeting over?"

"Indeed." Dagon picked up the Yoke of Seeming, and stood. Once more, they were perceptible to the rest of the world. With nothing more than a nod, he turned and left, confident the devices would be delivered to the previously agreed location. He was equally confident that this event would spell the end of the Licht Gruppe.

Osamu left as well; back to where he can teleport back to Mt. Coronet. There, he would scrupulously keep his promise, sending a Type-1 Digivice and a basic Pokeball to the agreed location...
@Letter Bee Nah. He's just much weaker in the Man of Steel movie and wasn't able to keep Zod from destroying half of Metropolis, so everyone and their mom freaked out about it. Lol.

Ah.
@FacePunch, Haven't watched the recent Man of Steel Movies, but don't those feature a Superman who thinks of innocent civilians as 'collateral damage' yet is still expected to be loved by the audience?
@FacePunch, It depends on the version of Superman, methinks.

DCAU version is awesome.
@dirty slime, Of course not, but there would also be annoying internal thoughts on the Mon Alliance and their people.

Also, Taichi is someone whom the Licht Gruppe might believe can see reason, because he really is less dogmatic than Osamu II. Of course, that would fade right away once the annoying speechifying begins, but still; Taichi can actually be persuaded to turn against Osamu II should the latter prove too obnoxious.

The Licht Gruppe are just not the ones to do it.
<Snipped quote by Letter Bee>

Mmnnnnhh.... No.

Why? Because you gotta step out of your comfort zone! Oh and even though they'll be sent to combat the Alliance and to check their ambitions on the multiverse at large, they won't do so committing terrorism, false-flag operations and other tactics that would be expected of the RoC. They'd just raid military installations and nothing else, even factory cities will be left alone since they don't target civilians.

Can't say the same about the guys they'll be deployed with though.

To be candid, I'm afraid that I'll be treated to deluded, idiotic, unsympatethic speeches and rhetoric that make Scrappy Doo's 'Puppy Power!' sound like Cicero.

No offense intended, just my views.

Sorry for delay.
