Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

@TheUnknowable, Two days from now, I'll vote in Philippine Elections, so I won't be able to post.
@Hatman1801, Posted, sorry if it was short.
Paradise 'Par' Rapids

Except for the fact that the Mage, in his possibly feigned retreat, forgot one thing - that Par had a Sniper Rifle. Quickly bringing it up, the 19-year old boy aimed at the exposed back of the enemy merc, then fired, hopefully bringing him down and allowing him to focus on the fifth figure, whom he knew was still out there. Said fifth figure was likely to be someone powerful, maybe even more powerful than that heavy guy.

At least Jenso appeared to be winning, Par would think as he glimpsed the fight between the two.
@TheUnknowable, @Ceta de Cloyes, yeah, Alexander tends to not realize when it's seemly to reveal important information.
Alexander Sky

Alexander smiled as he took the Mountain Dew.

"Let's just say that there's no one who can beat me in actual fencing in my locale, and Lightsaber Combat is even more unrealistic than that." And with that, he hopped to the booth, and said:

"Hey, is this where I sign up for that lightsaber combat contest? If so, what's the entrance fee?" After the reply, Alexander paid the fee, then after being told the rules (no punching, no kicking, no low blows, no headbutts), went to the arena, where, a few hours later...

A Few Hours Later

"I won!" the 18-year old boy said to Kyle as he walked forward with the suitcase full of cash, a wide grin on his face. "See, I told you that there was no one who can beat me at fencing." He then remembered something.

"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you, but the girl with your cousin...she's a shapeshifter, along with two other powers, mind reading and energy manipulation. She's probably the strongest of us all." Alexander had been able to tell all this because, well, Vin/Vini had been in range when he used Revelation on the Pyro...

Name: Pablo Legazpi

Age: 16

Nationality: Filipino

Noble Arm Name & Appearance: Pag-Asa Ng Mundo (Hope of the World)

Noble Arm Abilities:

((Post-Retcon))

Pablo's power is control over Plants, plants in this case defined as 'any organic lifeform capable of photosynthesis*'; he can sense mono-cellular algae kinestethically and restore barren soil to fertility at his lowest levels. At medium strength, he can use plant spores to heal people's injuries, knitting wounds, fixing bones, and injecting revitalizing agents. And finally, at highest levels, he can take a seed, toss it at an enemy, and turn it into a giant plant that writhes and moves; for example, he can turn a seed into a morass of strangling vines.

Alternatively, he can transform a piece of plant fibre and a hard nutshell into durable armor, or a small thorn and some plant matter into another Kalis.

However, his powers come with one great cost; If Pablo tried to bring an animal or a human back to life, going beyond keeping the 'meat' fresh, then the cadaver becomes a Plant-Zombie should he pump too much power into it. This stacks with the costs of overexertion, meaning that Pablo, theoretically, can work himself to fainting only to create a monster that wants to eat him immediately.

*Photosynthesis being further defined as: a process used to convert light energy, normally from the Sun, into chemical energy that can be later released to fuel the organisms' activities.

And, obviously, Pablo's powers don't work without Sunlight; his NA can fill the other requirements, but not Sunlight.

Personality: Pablo is a naturally reckless person who relies on his powers too often, but can take advice when needed. He also has a high opinion of himself and his intelligence, as well as a sense of self-loathing whenever this high opinion is proven to be wrong. Despite this, however, Pablo is a kind person, one who focuses on helping others as well as himself, and is aware of his flaws. He is someone who wants to have friends, and goes to great lengths to get people to like him and keep liking him.

*Likes: Sweets, Swordsmanship, History and Literature.

*Dislikes: Bullies, Spicy Food.

Fears: Showing his darker side to his peers.

Bio: Pablo's great-grandparents were migrant workers who came to the city of Manila in the Magsaysay Administration, looking for opportunity, and unlike many others, finding it. While said great-grandparents were menial workers, their children, Pablo's grandparents, were lowly clerks, while Pablo's mother became a lawyer and his father an Eskrima instructor. And so, Pablo grew into some wealth and affluence, despite his mother frequently taking on cases for free. Despite this, Pablo's life seemed normal, although he was more intelligent than his peers by a large margin, to the point where he took advanced classes. This made him feel isolated, and also the target of bullies. It became worse when he realized that he was bisexual early on.

He was afraid that if anyone found out, he would be expelled from his family and left out in the streets; he didn't want that. But at the same time, this was what he was born with, and he couldn't change it - he tried. The only people he can confide his secrets to, as well as doubts, were people on the Internet. Yes, foolish idea, but as long as he didn't reveal his name and personal details, he would be all right, right? Wrong, because eventually, one of those people, a woman, found out his personal details and tried to blackmail him for money.

Pablo had to make a choice; risk his secret coming out, or steal from what was not his? He chose the former, and he 'came out' to his mother that day. Surprisingly, his mother was understanding; not entirely approving, but not rejecting, either. And so they chose to confront the potential blackmailer together, Pablo's mother had a gun, just in case.

The blackmailer turned out to be one a former plaintiff that Pablo's mother had successfully prosecuted, and now sought to ruin the life of her family in response. She was also a Noble Arms master with the a Gauntlet that controlled darkness. Caught in a trap, Pablo and his mother risked death...until Pablo manifested his own Noble Arm, the Noble Arm of Hope. Taken by surprise, the blackmailer was defeated through a combination of quick moves and sucker punches by Pablo. And after that, the boy transferred to Trinindad Academy, rejecting offers from more reputable institutions because Trinidad Academy was both in his country and closer to home.

Besides, he wanted to see if the New Director can pull off what he promised...

*Current Goal: See if the New Director can make Trinidad Academy a place for heroes.

Student Rank: 1000

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyway, I've got no immediate problem with your characters Noble Arm, but it's going to have to be monitored. His ability is very subjective after all, as things like feelings are often unreliable, given how they tend to flip-flop with the situation.

1.) Yeah...Pablo just betrayed a certain amount of naivete.

2.) Understood, and thanks.
@Progenitus The first part, depends on the amount of hope in Pablo. The second part; no, no resurrection powers for the kid.

@Altasaire, So, Grimbright. I guess I can work with that, but I'll wait for HangedMan's final judgement before deciding whether or not to stick with the RP.
@Keksalot What does that mean?
@Altasaire, Heh, true.
