Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

"....Although, if someone were to have a dimensional shifter powerful enough, they could pop in anyway, right?" A stranger asks, leaning beside Osamu. This man, clad in a nice looking suit. Of course for the moment, he was trying to blend into the scene, continuing the conversation on a bit. He had a very specific look to him. Shortish, and very young looking, he couldn't of been older than 20, with long straight black hair, a pair of purple glasses, sorta like John Lennon's, and on his hand, a lot of rings, ranging from ones with demon faces on them, to ones with impossibly large gems and stones.
Quickly, in a flash of smoke, he vanishes, and reappears on the otherside of Osamu, for more of an attempted effect at comedy, hoping to poof over as Osamu looked over at him. "Now, fellas, I aint here to cause harm. I'm here to help ya keel off Malakai, as he's been a pain in my ass too...name's.....Cornwall. Let's go with that." Cornwall says, his voice silky smooth, alluring. The sorta voice that once could easily loose themselves in listening to, if one was not careful. For any woman, or man attracted to men, this was doubly so, Cornwall's voice sending a tingle down their spine.
"Now then, I'm an individual with some special powers, and I'm here to warn ya....you need that group's help to take on the ol king of hearts. He's already preppin for your attack, and if you go after em with just whatcha got here, you're gonna get throttled...and I mean that in the bad way." Cornwall says. his accent thickly southern. This man...? obviously know Malakai, and was an enemy of his.

Osamu smiled, clearly engrossed in the man's looks and voice. Same age group, pretty face, and a silky-smooth tone. It was easy to lose reason when listening to him, but he would be remiss in his duties as third-in-command of the Mon Alliance if he were to take Cornwall's words at face value.

And so, in response, he brought up holographic projections of the first group of Chosen Children, aka the group that Takeru and Hikari belonged to, then their Digimon, then their Digimon's Mega Evolutions, before saying:

"The Mon Alliance includes people whose creatures can destroy an entire city, albeit with some effort. The first eight Chosen Children alone can destroy an entire army, if need be -"

Takeru harrumphed.

"Ahem, have you forgotten something, Osamu? Namely the fact that we're not killers? Granted, our enemy using children's souls to make weapons is wrong, but -"

"Then I still have Mewtwo," spoke the 18-year old, "as well as the Gizumon - artificial Digimon that can destroy 'natural' Digimon's Digi-code permanently, and perhaps Minato's help. But," he looked at the blue-haired young man, then at Cornwall, "I'm willing to listen to reason."

"All right, an alliance with the group currently fighting Khaine is agreeable - provided that I and the Mon Alliance do not get treated as junior partners or otherwise non-equals. Would that be accepted?" he looked at Cornwall archly, observing that his hair would be prettier if cut short.

"Great job, Osamu," spoke Takeru, "but if you haven't noticed, that Gin guy has our equipment."

"Do you have a ritual ready for getting them back?" Hikari was guessing.

"Yes, I do!" Osamu was smiling now that 'the plot was back on track'. "Let's just say that 1.) Blood Magic is not immoral when it's your own blood, and 2.) I have been contributing a pint each week to the base's blood bank just for this purpose." He then grinned widely, like a fox.

"Now," he continued, "let's go to the Ritual Room."

Timeskip

Mt. Coronet's Ritual Room was not your cave or temple floor; instead of being dark and gloomy, it was well-lit by white LED lights, while the floor, walls, and ceiling were covered in white fiberglass, and the ritual circles, pentagrams, and stars were made up of copper and gold wires, instead of the usual chalk. A mix of technology and magic.

On the corner, there was a fridge that, when opened, contained several blood packets; Osamu took one, then poured it onto the central circle's wires, which began to glow red. Standing in the middle of the star, the 18-year old began to float, before chanting in Latin and Greek:

"Return that which has wrongfully been taken, give us back the items dear to us, reunite us with our tools of the trade, forces of Magic, hear me!"

A flash of red light, and Osamu fell down in a heap. Beside him were a pile of items; Digivices, Demon Summoning Programs, and the Evoker and Hypercube.

"And...done," spoke Osamu.

Takeru smiled.

"So," said the blond, "how will you prevent Gin from coming back?"

"Mt. Coronet Base has Anti-Dimensional Shielding; only members of the Mon Alliance, which now includes Minato, can go in and out."
Osamu, meanwhile, was writing - he had a ballpen and a notebook, which did not qualify as 'equipment' and so was not surrendered to Gin. Okay, maybe he had just forgotten that hehad them. What he wrote was not a spell, or anything magical, just a letter to Gin for when he gets back:

To dear Gin: You are a sociopath. That isn't my problem with you, my problem is you derailing my carefully-laid plans to destroy King Malakai. I am a thinker and tinkerer, not a fighter, and I make deals with people, not battle them head-on. You tried to turn me into a carbon copy of the fighters here, with no appreciation that there are gifts other than those which can be turned to violence, and I am angry at that. Please go away and never bother me again.

- Snarkily Yours, Osamu Akiyama.

"Mewtwo," Osamu spoke, "Emergency Warp. Take us and Minato back to Mt. Coronet."

<I've gotten tired of Gin and the others already,> said the Psychic Pokemon. <Well, all except Michael, he's sane.>

A nod from Osamu, and he left the letter inside a crook in the wall.

Then, they teleported back to Mt. Coronet, where, once the group were back in the control room, Osamu used the operations room's keyboards to disable the 'Dimensional Travel Device' that Gin had on him.

"There," Osamu said as he called for the base's staff to bring them all fresh clothes and cold drinks. "Now we can begin a proper strategy to 1.) re-introduce Minato to his friends, 2.) defeat King Malakai, and 3.) ascertain whether the King is the mysterious Multiversal Threat Boss Naoki and Aradia formed the Mon Alliance for."

Oi, everyone, I've been wondering. How do you all take character's dying/loosing fights?
Like, would you prefer if characters only died when the player wanted them to? Or, would you rather that if a character were to work themselves into a situation where they would die, that they die?

A combination of both; characters have plot armor unless they do something really stupid or suicidal.

And, well, Osamu is highly annoyed at being kidnapped, his 'Flunky Dependence' weakness is biting him in the ass, and he cannot tap into Horus' full powerset without the Demon Summoning Program.

So, he's pretty much useless now.

"How do you think I feel? I have no magical powers, or superstrength. The most impressive thing about me is my blood is acidic...." Issac says, before chuckling. "However, I know for a fact we'll become as strong as them, if not stronger." He tells Osamu. "So, what kind of world do you all come from?" He asks.

"Multiple worlds," Osamu said. "A significant fraction are variations of a world called Earth, while others are versions of an Earth-like universe called the Pokemon World."

"In the Pokemon world, well, there are creatures called Pokemon that are basically your normal animals, but with powers. On Earth, there exists a parallel plane called the Digimon World, where creatures similar to, but different from Pokemon, made from Data, live."

"Both Pokemon worlds and Earth have Humans, who can 'tame or train' Pokemon and Digimon." Osamu decided to omit that Horus, his 'glowy bird', was neither Pokemon or Digimon but something else.

"We know this place like the back of our hands. We already knew this area was going to be destroyed by Gram's fighting, as soon as he was summoned here, and the stone workers are already reinforcing the surrounding tunnels." Issac says. He then looks back at Gram. "Man, it's been a while since he's gone all out..." Issac says.

"Understood," said Osamu.

"Sigh...I feel foolish and impotent right now..."
@supertinyking:

"Okay!" said Osamu to Issac, "if you have any civilians nearby, I think we need to evacuate!"
@Teoinsanity
Mon people showed up. Gram got dunked into the metal, and warlock punched out of it, and Khaine I think launched doom? I'm not sure. So, now Gin is also fighting Khaine.

And Osamu is highly displeased with getting kidnapped.
