Personality: Osamu is a person who, although he has a firm sense of personal morality, focuses on getting practical things done instead of pursuing narrow, distant, and vague ideological goals. While he has ideals and wants to make the Multiverse a better place, he is calm, pragmatic, and unwilling to commit resources to a venture unless the profit is clear, or clearly explained to him. Basically, he wants to get the job done, and this focus might make him look outwardly cold, like his mother. But, just like his mother, Osamu can be warm and friendly once he's not focused on the job, and unlike said mother, it's actually quite easy to get through to him.
Bio: The son of Ryo Akiyama and Ruki Makino/Rika Nonaka, Osamu was a genius like his unfortunate namesake in another universe. Interested in the 'Digital World' that his parents would tell him stories about, Osamu would begin doing research on how to link the two dimensions back together from a very young age, although he saved time to play with his friends, Rai Matsuki/Matsuda and Lucy Lee/Wong, who, unlike him, disbelieved in their parents' stories of the Digital World. Finally, at the age of 10, Osamu Akiyama discovered, with help from the organization HYPNOS, the secret to interdimensional travel...and that was when things went wrong, for Osamu didn't find a way back to the Digital World.
Rather, he found a Tokyo riven by an apocalypse, where creatures similar to Digimon, called 'Demons', roamed the ruins of this once-great city. In this world, the only hero was a person called the 'Demi-Fiend', a human with the powers of a Demon and the ability to call them to his side. And the opening of the gate between his world and 'Ruined Tokyo' was a surprise to both Osamu and the Demi-Fiend, as well as HYPNOS, who tried to close the gate, but too late - the Demons of the Shin Megami Tensei universe were preparing to invade!
Realizing the threat, Osamu Akiyama allied with the Demi-Fiend, repurposing Hypnos' former weapons (intended against Rogue Digimon) in order to combat Demons, and the Demi-Fiend was able to return his version of Tokyo to normal.
But Osamu was frightened now; who knows what horrors lurked in the Multiverse? He also knew this, though; that only Digimon can give his world an edge against other Universes. And so, he tried again, and this time, succeeded in reunifying his parents, as well as Rai and Lucy's, with their old Digimon Partners. But...there was another disappointment; even though the Digital World was open, no Digimon would choose to be partners with him.
So, the boy, 13 now, resumed his dimensional research, trying to find out why he can't have a Digimon Partner. And, cautiously, this time, Osamu opened a portal to another universe...the Pokemon one. It was a wonderful place, although the hobby of 'Pokemon Battling' distubed him. Nevertheless, it was time to seek out allies. He found them in three people, one of them an idiot of the lowest caliber - Ash Ketchum/Satoshi.
Making his own journey, Osamu found that while he can make friends with Pokemon, he lacked the gift of making a lasting partnership with them, meaning that he had to rely on his technology to defend himself from Wild Pokemon attacks and Team Rocket. Finally, however, he found the allies he needed; the Pokemon League itself. After signing a treaty between them and HYPNOS, Osamu went back to his own world...and found the Demi-fiend waiting for him there.
Once the shock faded from Osamu's face, the Demi-Fiend, introducing himself as Naoki Kashima, then handed the boy a 'Demon Summoning Program', as well as a contract with Demon of his own, Horus*. After some more surprise, Osamu asked Horus what he thought of the transfer of contractors, and after the Demon replied that he had no objections to it, th boy accepted the program, contract, and his new partner with open arms...

Osamu is skilled in Superscience and, since meeting Naoki for the second time, Sorcery. He is also an expert in making Magitech Weapons. To compensate for this, though, Osamu lacks any fighting ability whatsoever, and has to rely in Horus for battle.
Horus, in turn, has a 20% chance of insta-killing weak foes, can heal people, remove debuffs, and inflict a huge amount of light-based damage.

Okay...this sounds a bit Mary-Sueish. Let me give a few flaws/nerfs:
Osamu, as mentioned, lacks fighting ability and overrelies on Tech, Magic, and Horus for battle. He also is reluctant to face his opponents head-on, because he knews they can beat him easily. Rather, he's a good-guy version of that person who sends out constant waves of minions/subordinates at you until you get to their lair and stomp them.

Several years after returning his version of Earth to what it once was, Naoki had become a mature adult who seeks to teach others the way he had been taught by Yuko Takao. Brave, intelligent, and yet eager for battle and conflict, the Demi-Fiend is also someone who prefers mentoring others to commanding the NMG's armies in the field. This is because despite his growth, he retains his earlier distrust of authority and those who would push their beliefs on other people. Nevertheless, his earlier contempt for weakness has been tempered with compassion, and his disgust with bullies makes him a formidable foe to those who would misuse their strength. He also has a deep bond with Osamu Akiyama, his pupil, born not just from their initial meeting, but also from the days spent giving the Scientist lessons in sorcery.

At some point in the events in the above link, Osamu Akiyama opened a portal to the Vortex World at the age of 10, encountering a very pissed-off Demi-Fiend, who had to save him and a group of HYPNOS Agents from being torn apart by a pack of Demons. This development, eventually led to an easier resolution of the crisis involving the Vortex World, as after a short period of awkwardness, Osamu used his budding scientific knowledge to create Anti-Demon weapons that helped defeat the Three Reasons and Katsuguchi much faster. Nevertheless, there was still plenty of loss and drama for Naoki, as he, Osamu, and the latter's HYPNOS escort had to be seperated from each other when the Demi-Fiend chose Freedom; to return his world to normal. And for a long time, it was the end of that.
Then came the death of Happiness and the rise of Suffering, and the ensuing war between the New Multiverse Government and Imperium of Suffering. Naoki found himself contacted by the Goddess Aradia once more, and sent to Osamu Akiyama's world to give the latter a Demon Summoning Program and Horus. During the early phase of the war, Naoki was one of several 'Magic Tutors' who taught Osamu various sorcerous powers and the ability to combine them with technology. And as Osamu grew into his own person during the conflict, Naoki could not help but be proud of his pupil...while at the same time fearing that this war might end up breaking him as wars do. He knew this; that as Osamu grew more important, the forces after him were going to increase, and when that happened, he would be ready to avenge his student.

Skills: The Demi-Fiend is easily Superman-level; he is not the Man of Steel's equal in raw strength and physical resistance, but he more than makes up for that with Magic. He can project a sword of mystic energy, throw projectiles of magical force, control fire, heal allies, and ressurect dead individuals, bringing them back to full health as he does so. Not merely that, but he can summon a gallery of demonic allies in order to cover for the weaknesses he does have.
