Current Two days ago, Noble Arms is indisputably four years old, spread out across three threads, and the third thread is still ongoing and about to reach the endgame...

Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Disclaimer: The idea was someone else's, but I have been allowed to borrow it and make it mine.

On another Earth, there exists a set of islands in the Pacific Northwest, the archipelago-nation of Beaux Rêve (Sweet Dream), where the supernatural and mundane jockey for influence in this alternate 2024.

The Capital, Beaux Rêve City, is famous for its extreme and bizarre one-school policy. A space the size of a whole city district has been carved out to make space for a massive educational complex, ranging from nurseries to university faculties. Children from all over the city are made to mix regardless of their economic circumstances or housing situations, which leads to several issues with bullying, high workloads for teachers, and massive classes. The city's economy has shifted to accommodate this, and years of strain are making themselves felt through a recession. Everybody knows somebody who works at the school and rumors spread like wildfire about life in that massive warren.

This schooling system and the surrounding district are commonly known as "The Complex" or "Beaux Rêve Educational", and it is one of the largest social experiments of our times.

Now, for the supernatural side of the nation as it stands in the Chronicles of Darkness.

Princesses and Princes, aka Magical Girls and Boys, are the dominant supernatural force in Beaux Rêve, if one does not count Hunters, who serve as their oversight. Thanks to the reality-altering plague known as the Contagion, Princesses, and Hunters have been given a boost to their power level allowing them to match Mages, who are nevertheless doing well in the nation; better than Vampires, Werewolves, and Changelings. But looming over them all is the dark alliance between the ruling political party of the nation, the Autocrats, Task Force: NAVARRE, the official Hunter group of the Beaux Rêve Government, and various disillusioned Princesses and Princess who have resorted to immoral means to achieve 'the greater good.

Things are tense to the breaking point, and because you live in the Chronicles of Darkness, you have a stake in it, especially if you have blossomed into a Princess or Prince or awakened as a Mage. If you don't have the strength to lift yourself and others, the burden of this place just one whit better will drag you down with it, along with all you've ever loved...
Raven Rivers

Raven raised his hand and responded.

"If not for the fact that I just re-specced my Shadow Hawk to a long-range model, I'd have offered to stand with you as your second, Colonel. As it is, I envy that you're going to be the first one to punch out that son of a bitch's lights out. As for actual questions... Is the Generator's hardening resistant to particle cannon fire? If not, I volunteer to bring that down."

The old doubts resurged, but the man stamped them down as he spoke, "Now, where is the best position to shoot at that structure? Are there any heights, artificial or natural, or anything else that can give me a clear field of fire against it? Will concentrating our long-range capabilities against the Generator Building give away our actions? It seems to me that despite its protection, it is important enough to bring down in one timely blow; then we can dispose of the pillboxes at will."

Now, to address everything else, "I'll assume that we'll be getting those three Thumpers, then - Reya's just that good. I've made no secret of my sympathies towards the FPA regardless of whether they returned those or not, and if my assumption is right, this is full validation of my stance towards them. So with this, victory is almost assured."

Looking at his old friend directly, Raven then asked one last question, "But just in case a certain thing goes badly, can you name Ingrid or Reya as your successor? No one else but them is suitable for the position. Other than that, no more questions; sorry for my audacity."

Welcome!
Hey there, I've been thinking about joining this site for a while but I've finally taken the plunge. I used to RP a lot a few years back but not had a chance to in the last year, so I'm trying to get back into it and get the creativity flowing. I'm going to get my bearings on the site and hopefully dive into an RP soon!

Welcome!
Hey, hey.

FINALLY! A RP SITE WHERE PEOPLE ACTUALLY RESPOND! IM SAVEEEEEED!!!!

I like this energy!
We might have another player soon, but no promises.
Raven Rivers

Raven walked inside the room in his best uniform and freshly-shined boots, smiling as he spoke to the Colonel, "I knew there'd be a plan, Sir."

As he waited for the briefing, Raven knew everyone could see his renewed confidence, bolstered by the talk with Marit just a few days ago and lasted through the NRPDE's announcement just earlier. This was the day he rescued Katrina and Andrew; this was the day he reunited his family. And all he had to do was give himself some time and patience and fight as well as possible. So his smile held as he observed Ingrid, Marit (who had risen in his estimation after their talk), and Tarak as they waited for the Colonel to give them the plan.

After all, he had upgraded his Shadow Hawk with extra heat sinks and a particle cannon that could hit targets at long range; that ought to count for something.

The point was, this was his day; all he needed to do was live through it.
@Ryik, I like the bio. Approval One, but this applies only to the bio.
Jaina Dalton

Jaina would normally be offended by Regina returning her distrust of livestreamers and influencers with disdain towards royalty. Still, Weisz whispered to her telepathically and revealed that Regina was a Time Mage with Time Magic which excited her craving for knowledge. The mixed gratitude and glee caused her smile to widen as she told the informant, Time Magic? Do we have a practitioner of it here? That is so cool... Boyfriend.

Normally, Weisz would be fifth in her hotness list below Ifrit, Reuel, Lucas, and Amaya but above Eris, who is sixth. But now thanks to that revelation, the telepath climbed three places on that list, causing Jaina to seriously consider that he might be a good boyfriend after all. She then spoke, All right, tell us of our true mission; also, you'd look even cuter with your hair dyed white. Also, if you like swords, I've been thinking of commissioning a runeblade from Reuel and Zam-Weset when I have the cash...

Speaking of Zam-Weset, she should try and get close to that creepy old Mage, considering how much knowledge he had; the problem was, what could he possibly want that she could give? No, no, focus on the mission, Jaina! Focus! She then recovered enough of her bearings to ask one more question, I presume E.M. Pino isn't a real object or person, then? But we are fighting the Kulto Kalium Krusade?

Jaina Dalton

Jaina had trouble understanding why people were afraid of the sea.

Well, that's not quite right; she knew full well that the sea was large, cold, salty, and filled with sea monsters. That the storm clouds were vast, some of them bigger than entire towns on land. But such immensity was humbling, even to the children of royalty, and the cool sea breeze brought comfort in a sunny day such as this one.

Jaina was a Daugther of the Sea, comfortable with the salt spray and the smell of fish both fresh and rotten. Eeels were a delight when stewed, shellfish a delicacy. Shrimps were great when peeled and seaweed a vital component in various condiments. And while the docks and fishmongers stank to high heaven, the Daugther of the Sea remembered that the finest of perfumes came from ambergris from the stomachs of whales and sea serpents.

Besides, what was life without a bit of thrills?

Attempting interaction with Shinra, Jaina spoke to the young man, "So, Shinra, how are we going to find the terrorists? I presume we're going to use the classic tactic of asking around in taverns and seaside pubs, or do you have a contact somewhere?"

Then she turned towards Regina, trying to stamp down her suspicion of 'livestreamers' and 'influencers' and give her the benefit of the doubt, and said, "And Regina... I hate to ask, but how well can you hold yourself in a fight? I don't watch many livestreams, you see, so I am completely blind to what you can do - Are you a Celestial Spirit Mage? Or do you have Archive Magic? Or maybe you're some sort of badass Requip-er..."

It occured to her that she might be prying or offending, so she turned towards Shinra and Regina and relaxed her shoulders, saying, "Sorry if I'm rambling; I'll make it up to you by treating you guys to some of the best soft-shelled crabs in town once this is all over!"

Note to myself. Lower collateral damage or pay for the costs of collateral damage from my own pocket; I do not want to get thrown out of restuarants and snack bars or yelled at by street food vendors. That and my comrades' reputation matters to me as well - My True Companions should not be laboring under an unfriendly reputation as 'destructive saviors'...
