DISCORD IS HERE.

Make sure to let me know who you are on RPGuild if your name is different on discord. I'll link this to the main OOC!
@ineffable Awesome! She is accepted. You may move her into the char tab!

@Akayaofthemoon Juniper looks great! She is accepted. You did list Juniper as a detective/private investigator, which might've taken up a good chunk of her early adulthood to go through with. I'm sure that it all happened after the events within her backstory, though. So it should be fine! Just note that she would be within her wolf pack for some odd years+.

@Severance Spectacular character! He is accepted.

@Sanity43217 While your character concept is interesting, I'm afraid that I cannot accept him with that type of power. The witches/warlocks of this RP will follow the more ancient ways of witchcraft, in which were passed down from generation to generation. While the repertoire for spells is very broad, they will not have capabilities relating to technomancy.

@The Narrator Martin is accepted. While I do wish to read more about his character, I don't believe it's absolutely necessary since he can unfold as the RP plays out. While his abilities pertaining to the Loa and the Bokor are a little foreign to me, I believe the concept will add an interesting flare to the RP! I will also add the Cauldron into the main OOC so that players can note the existence/importance of it! Also, just fix the header, that I'm assuming is a logo of his name, before placing him in the char tab.

@Hoekage I'm currently working on a discord right now! Been weirdly busy this past week.
Here ya go! It took me mighty long but I think she turned out great, hopefully! @Lionhearted

I very much enjoy this character. I love her appeal, her look, and her personality. I really enjoy the idea of her being promoted to head of the hunters, primarily for her incredible skill with tactics, organization, and strategy when it comes to a hunt. It makes sense that she's not totally collected when on the hunt, but that isn't what she's favored for; her promotion is based off her leadership and not her battle prowess, though that shouldn't be underestimated either.

One question I do have is her heirloom. When you say that she has resistances to bites, do you mean like the actual injury/bite itself, or the aftermath of such? A vampires bite can weaken, more or less from just the blood loss. But in a lot of pop fiction, a vampire bite can feel euphoric. Some say it's from a venom, some say it's from the vampires charm. I'm going to edit the vampire tab to include the effects of their bite. The venom will have an endorphin-like effect that makes it so that their victim is less likely to struggle against them, allowing them to feed as necessary. The venom will also release traces if their DNA -- almost like a virus. This will begin the process of turning a human into a vampire. I'll reiterate the process in the vampire tab of the OOC.

With that said, there's a small thing in Evren's backstory. So her father is assumed to be turned into a vampire, but all that Evren sees is that he's bit by the vampire. Given that there's a process to becoming a vampire that almost requires the consent of the human(although the venom gives them a certain lust that'll overpower the unwillingness if there is any), Evren's father would have had to undergo the turning process which could not have happened within a quick instance. Except, maybe there's something that Evren doesn't know, and perhaps her father had a previous engagement with a vampire in his hunting days that resulted in his coming turn. So this could very well still be possible, but not in that immediate instance. It would have had to take time, but this could be a cool thing within Evren's past that she unfolds throughout the RP.
@Lionhearted

Yay! Then can I reserve the spot? The CS should be sent to you pretty soon and I can discuss things over with you also in Discord :)

I'll put a strike through to note to everyone that a CS is being created for it. Though if I'm presented with another CS for the role that I find a better fit, I may choose them! So keep that in mind.
@Lionhearted

Head of the Hunters still free? I’m loving the concept of this RP!

I believe so. Nobody has shown interest in that role yet. Also, thank you!
@Lionhearted
Technically it might be able to count as a coven, but really it's more of an apprenticeship. He definitely isn't in one in Salem, because he's doing everything he can to make sure they don't realise he knows about all that supernatural stuff until it's too late. Also, he doesn't particularly resent anyone from the supernatural community, but he steps in to stop them when they start targeting innocent people. Again, he does it to hunters who target the more innocent members of the supernatural community as well.

Ahhhh I see. So he's in Salem in hopes to find Hannah, but to remain under the radar within the supernatural community? I'll probably list him as a warlock, but not connected to any coven.
@Severance Desmond is accepted! I look forward to seeing him this time around!

@Rabidporcupine So, it isn't that I'm not allowing the existence of demons, but I just don't want players to start playing them. I feel as though the demon race is very, very versatile/diverse, so I feel as though there would be a lot of edits I'd have to make to actually offer 'demons' as a playable race: making them balanced with the other races, researching which demons would be fair to play with the players, how a player demon would correspond to the plot I have in mind, etc. Question though: would your character be apart of any witch coven within Salem? Is he kind of in a small little coven with Hannah and her father? EDIT: I notice that you did list him under warlock as well as hunter. So does he have any resentment towards the supernaturals?

As a side note for everybody though - I do want to really try to establish character relations, given that a lot of players will be among the same covens and whatnot. I will be making NPCs, depending on what characters are created by players, that will fill slots within covens and whatnot.
Was wondering if a Demon character would be allowed.

Unfortunately, no. While the concept does sound really good, I'm trying to not stray too far from the ideas that I have for this RP. I'm only leaving the possible races as the ones that I have listed.

Alpha Wolf Daddy 😉

Can I reserve the color 0F0F0F and FC; Matthew Noszka

We can reserve the color and FC, but I do have other interests in alpha wolf that I'll be taking a peak at as well! I look forward to seeing your character sheet :)
It seems my hidden OOC has been infiltrated. I only have a few things to add to it anyway. So there it is for you all! :) It might be easier to post in the OOC what roles you're going to be making characters for, that way there are less chances of people applying for the same roles.

@verzehren A lone wolf will be acceptable! Salem has a relatively loose pack and it's more likely to have lone wolves.

@officaz Hmmmm. I'm not quite sure if I'd be able to accept him. I mean, it's possible to have an elder vampire hunter, but you'd have to work it out to have it make sense with his backstory and whatnot.

Salem, Massachusetts
【Eight Days until Full Moon

October 1st, 12:00am | The Docks

Loud rain pattered against the wood of the docks as the clattering bells and clinks of rocking boats echoed throughout the air. Rolling thunder reverberated in the thick, black clouds and the fast winds whistled with ruinous intent over Salem, Massachusetts. Mother nature is loud and ferocious on this night and boatmen are up late attempting to secure their goods and equipment. This stormy night offered a ghostly hand to the already eerie city-town, but the aura of Salem had suddenly dropped as a dark, fearful presence emerged—from an origin unknown, but easily assumed to be the storm itself—causing an underlying, sinister wickedness to soar with the strong gale.

"God damn, I need to be in bed already! How bad is this storm supposed to be!?" A burly man shouts in frustration, using ropes and chains to tie down crates.

"Channel 7 news fuckin' sucks! Those fuckin' idiots said it wasn't supposed to rain for another week!" An older man replied in a paralleled anger, struggling to keep his balance from the wet floor and the strong gusts. They stood close to each other, but even shouting was difficult to hear over the volume of the storm.

"Hey, past me some more rope, will ya!"

Thunder roared and lit up the dock to reveal the chaos the storm created—boxes in shambles, broken dock boards, and random clutter lying about.

"Yo boss! I need rope, damn it!" He turned, "Boss, I-"

Thunder roared and lit up the dock once more, but the silhouette of a tall man with a long coat and a wide-brim hat stood motionless in the midst of the storm, the bright light framing his tall, broad body.

"Who the hell are you?"

One more flicker of light, and a grimace could be seen beneath the shadow of the hat. Sharp fangs shimmered between cracked lips, a strong hand lifting as fast as the lightning strikes the earth, revealing bloodied talons and a jumble of tattoos along the back of his hand. Yet only so much could be perceived in one rapid movement before death struck and it is a shame this is the last memory the burly man would take with him.

With that, the boatman's screams rang harmoniously with the loud thunder, carried by the merciless wind.

Salem, Massachusetts

October 1st, 12:00pm | Ambrosia's Mansion - Washington Park | N/A

The afternoon was quite opposite of the night. The temperature was a comfortable, fall chill, the sun beaming through the sky to help relieve some of the darkness that unfolded from the night. The colorful leaves rustled together and the sound of the fountain in the courtyard could be heard, filling the silence Ambrosia has come to embrace in her mornings. Ambrosia stood within a shaded patio that opened out into an exquisite garden of flowers and shrubs with a trail that lead to a beautiful gazebo. Red roses dominated the greenery, her eyes hopping from one rose bulb to the next as she became lost in her thoughts.

“Miss? I do believe it’s time to go,” a middle-aged gentleman’s voice broke her trance.

Ambrosia looked up slowly, her eyes meeting the horizon where the garden would turn into dense forestry. She took a breath in.

“Are you all right, Miss?” her trusted butler questioned her in concern.

She paused before turning to him with a gentle smile, “Yes. My apologies, Leo. I was just thinking, that’s all.”

Ambrosia began to move closer, but halted as he spoke again, “It troubles you, doesn’t it,” Leo paused, “The change in the air.”

“So you feel it, too?”

He nodded, “I do.”

Ambrosia took another deep breath, taking a moment longer to enjoy the scenery before grabbing her handbag, “Let’s be off, then.”

With that, they followed the path in the courtyard that lead around the old, but renovated, mansion to a private, stone driveway that encircled a much larger fountain with an array of decorations beside it. Leo opened the door of a black SUV with tinted windows to let Ambrosia in, closing it softly once he was sure she was inside. The gesture has become so normal for the both of them that it could be considered second-nature. He made his way to the driver's seat and began to head for Washington Park, where Ambrosia’s plan will take place.

“Are you nervous, Miss?” Leo asked, his eyes fixated on the road.

Ambrosia collected her thoughts before coming up with an appropriate response, “I feel so many things right now, I can’t tell if that’s even one of them,” she began, taking another moment, “But I’ll just consider nervousness to be among the emotions that trouble me, yes. You and I both know that this is for the better, and maybe coming out of the dark will relieve me.”

“You’re absolutely right, Miss,” Leo nodded, “But I worry that this past night has brought upon something more than just speculation.”

“As much as I wish to disagree with you, I can’t. Time is only ticking now,” Ambrosia sighed.

“They found the man mutilated and the other missing,” Leo spoke coldly and bluntly, but Ambrosia hadn’t flinched since she knew the details already, “The man was missing parts of his organs and his bones, perhaps this is just a witch’s doing?”

Ambrosia shook her head in disagreement, ignoring his attempt to help uplift the situation, “I spoke with Astrid. She believes it’s something otherworldly and powerful. The visions she sees aren’t like any she’s ever witnessed and they carry with them a darkness that doesn’t compare to any witch or warlock. Believe me, I wish to not lower my guard to the others either, but I believe they could have fragmented answers of their own. Let’s hope at least some of them show up to this damned festival.”

“I know it pains you to see her that way. I know it must be hard for her to even sleep at night,” Leo replied, trying to comfort her at the very least.

“Astrid is brave,” Ambrosia spoke confidently and surely, “She’ll come out of this stronger than she thinks.”

Leo decided not to comment on the underlying doubt Ambrosia had, fearing that if her confidence were shaken, she would let her uncertainty scare her. So the rest of the drive was silent until they made it to Washington Park. As usual, he opened the door to let her out. Stepping out, one black, pointed heel at a time, and she was welcomed into the craze of the growing festival. She threw her long brown hair over one shoulder and flattened the wrinkles of her mid-length, conforming black dress.

Taking Leo’s arm, they made their way down to the festivities, becoming distracted every now and then by the various shops and booths that lined the streets. And for a moment, they would both fit in to the crowd, though Ambrosia’s dark presence was sure to scare the majority of the people she came across, causing them to become intimidated or evasive. Thanks to the black magic that taints her, she doesn’t have to worry too much about human interaction due to the eerie presence she involuntarily conjures. On the contrary, she is well-known within Salem because of her known wealth, her presence recognizable by many.

The park was so lively. Children played together, businesses were having a huge success with the abundance of patrons, and even the bars had a huge crowd of day-drinkers. The docks in the distance had some events that caused an attraction of people, boats lining the waterfront to create a beautiful vista for the town to admire. The foliage around and beyond added beautiful hues of orange, yellow, and red, dressing the town in gorgeous fall colors.

They moved to a nearby bench, underneath the shade of trees. Ambrosia fiddled with the ring that guarded her from the sunlight, taking in the last few moments of enjoyment she had.

“I believe it’s time,” Ambrosia declared, pulling out a small notepad and a pen. “Can you sense anybody?”

"I didn't want to mention this before, but," Leo paused, his eyes trekking across the horizon of people and trees, "I sense supernatural activity everywhere."

Ambrosia looked up in shock, placing a hand on his cheek comfortingly, "Are you all right, Leo? If things seem amiss, we can turn back now, just tell me."

Leo shook his head, smiling as he backed his head away from the coolness of her touch, "I appreciate your concern, but I should manage. It's just strange, is all, that everywhere I look I can see something in the air. Corruption, if you will. No matter, though, I can still sense high activity. They're here and it's now we begin."

A hesitant nod followed by Ambrosia, clicking her pen open, "Alright then! Who's first?"
