Why are you here when you should be writing posts?

@Lord WraithThere're just so many good choices! *rolls back and forth in agony over the decision*

Anyways the conjugation of there and are is weird. Really. It looks strange. Like a mass of 'e's and 'r's.

Haha, that it is.

Also @Everyone,

I just want to point out that the funeral and the school day are taking place simultaneously (Remember, Metropolis would be about 3hrs ahead of Star City). So the events at the school are taking place on Tuesday October 28, not Friday October 31. I'm not sure if anyone is actually confused about this, but reading through some of the posts it struck me that people were under the impression that was the case so I just wanted to clear the air.

The first big IC event will be the school's Hallowe'en Dance on Friday the 31st. But I'm hoping to get some other stuff in first.
@Blue Demon I'd be down with having Dinah come to the school to teach if she's your top choice.
@Wade Wilson Feel free to submit an app and I'll give it a look over.

@Blue Demon Either way, let me know who you decide on and we can work something out. Obviously if you choose Dick or Kori, I'll need to give you more details about Mari haha
@Lord WraithBTW. I was thinking again about taking one of the Profs. (You can tell me no if you really don't want me to. Haha) And I was wondering if there was anyone off limits or that you'd like to see me play.
- I'm assuming Dick's off limits here. And Kory. And Babs probably.

I wouldn't say any of them are off limits (did I make Kori a teacher?), I'd rather see you play a character you're comfortable with and familiar with their characterization than force yourself to play someone else. Besides it could be interesting if you were playing any of those three.
A child genius might actually be more off putting than a 19 year old.

That's a very true point.
@OneWayOutWell, as I mentioned before, Kyle wont like Val on first impression. And the poor repressed will thing wont go out of his way to try to make friends. At least not while he can't control his powers. :) Plus she's 19. That's ages older than Kyle. *cough*she'sanoldwoman*cough*

Would a freshman like Kyle necessarily know her age though? The sheet indicates she looks younger than him even.
Oh and I added two of Jack's rules to his character sheet. The Rule of Stealing and the Rule of Flirting.

Val is not that hard of a person to understand. She's not mysterious or closed off, rather she is an open book. She is never afraid to speak her mind and hardly keeps secrets. She believes that knowledge and information should be shared and is a firm believer in protecting those who cannot protect themselves. She's is kind enough, not overly friendly but not a pain to be around. Her voice and demeanor might come across as nonchalant or bored depending on the topic. She can be quite the stubborn person. She doesn't easily let somebody persuade her, as she is the kind of person that first wants to see something with her own eyes before believing it. Though she doesn't judge people for their beliefs or what others say, she judges strongly based on actions. And if she disagrees with somebody, she let's them know it. She has never been afraid to speak her mind in fear of hurting someone’s feelings and she isn’t above tossing a snarky remark or two when/if the situation calls for it. The majority of her repertoire consists of sarcastic comments or jokes accompanied by a sardonic smirk or raising of an eyebrow. She has been called cold more than a few times, but only because has extremely selective empathy, being that she cannot bring herself to understand the ridiculous reasons which cause a great deal of upset and alarm to most people. She sometimes speaks in a crude manner, using curse words to emphasize her points, resulting in mixed reactions from people. On the other hand, she is normally a kind enough. Wise, though a tad bit young at heart, she is someone who would make for a good person to talk to about anything.

She doesn't strike me as someone Mari would hate, but she doesn't strike me as someone Mari would go out of her way to interact with. I'm sure they're friendly towards each other but that'd be about the extent of the relationship.
@Inkwell What is the limit to how many constructs can she make? How strong are these constructs/shield, additionally how complex are they? In your sample post, the mentioned construct is kept as a pet, so how smart are these constructs? Are they an extension of Chandra's own mind or do they think independently? When the physic link is destroyed does it cause harm to Chandra or the constructs? How do the constructs stay physical if the link is severed, are they not creations of Chandra's mind? I would have thought that the severing of the physic link would destroy the constructs, not set them loose.

Overall this character strikes me as being potentially over powered in its current state. The part about being a clone of Raven is also odd and feels a bit tacked on at the end. There's almost no similarities between Chandra and Raven that I can see.
So... does anyone want to have a relationship with my character so it can be something other than 'they don't know eachother'? I mean, Val is probably a bit shy, but not totally anti social.

Well what's she like?
