Rose should be glad that Kara wasn't there. She would not lift her top for the pleasure of human swine especially for worthless gaudy beads.

I just realized Solara & Kara rhyme.

Rose was the only one who did it. And hey, maybe if Solara loosened up she might find out just how pleasurable us humans can be.

"I don't think covert is going to be as much of a bitch." Rose's tone was smug as she turned back to the other three. While the Question and the Warden had been discussing tactics, Rose had been staking out the environment. An assassin was never caught with anything less than three possible escape routes and she had at least ten. Taking a drag on her freshly lit cigarette, Rose blew a small ring of smoke from the side of her mouth before continuing.

"As the Bat mentioned, there's a festival going on below. If you take a look for yourselves, they're all decked out in fuckin' elaborate costumes. At least the ones that aren't flashing their tits for beads." Rose added with a smirk. "Looks like Carnival and Mardi Gras damn depraved love child down there, but that's good for us." She continued jabbing a thumb towards Lizard and the Warden. "Means these two can blend the fuck in."

"But anyways, fire escapes." Rose stated, an eyebrow lifting behind her mask. "Eh, your call." She concluded with a shrug as she returned her repelling line to it's spot on her belt. "Suppose we can do this the fuckin' long way."

Bounding over the edge of the building, Rose took a hold of the railing of the fire escape. Using the rail to guide her body through the air, Rose flipped over the fire escape, letting go as she dropped to the next floor. Landing on her feet, she pushed off into a back flip before dropping to the next floor and continuing her pattern until she hit the ground.

Looking up, she smiled as she pulled out a new cigarette and flicked her zippo to ignite it. Taking a small puff, she blew smoke as she watched the rest of them work their way down.

"You're going to let yourselves get beat by a smoker? Hurry the fuck up y'all."

Lizard merely looked down and simply shrugged - taking ahold of the fire escape ladder and simply sliding down. Holding her hands at the sides and not minding the friction burn that she was getting.

Easily guiding herself down to the ground, and beating Rose' record by half - as she soon simply used her hands to slow her descent and was soon down on the ground. "Guess I beat ya....ehehehe. High-five..." she spoke, her hand still green but the tell-tale sign of smoke coming from her palm.

With her arms crossed as she watched Lizard's stunt, Rose mockingly rolled her eyes as she let out an exagerated, exasperated scoff before lazily lifting one arm to high-five the amphibious younger girl.

"Good show, kid."

The Warden raised an eyebrow at the unecessarily dangerous routes his allies took, following after Lizard. Using vines instead of hands to expidite the process - taking it a few stories at a time - he quickly joined the other two.

Moments later, Question dropped down from the fire escape, straightening his fedora as it almost fell off his head. He eyed Lizard and Rose, then said: "Too flashy. Be more practical." Without another word, he gestured for the others to follow him as he made his way to the street.

"Guess we're using bullets and not blades." Rose said, holding her hand up in an aside to Lizard. "Feel free to start fuckin' biting people." She added sarcastically with an exaggerated wink. "Wouldn't want to waste time with flashy claw work."
It's just MS Paint. At least that's the easiest one to use.

The older man walked into Metro Tower, looking around at the recent renovations as he did. While the distance was reasonable, Metropolis always felt like a far cry from Gotham. Smog hung over Gotham nearly permanently making even its sunniest days pale in comparison to the glistening towers of Metropolis. Where Gotham was trapped in a past of stone and gargoyles, Metropolis looked forward with post modern architecture and new age materials. It was a stark contrast that it almost made Ted Grant feel uncomfortable. It was odd enough to be outside of his gym, let alone in the newest headquarters of the Justice League. Ted had barely believed his ears when Batman had called him, asking the retired Justice Society member to catch the next flight to Metropolis. Apparently the League had grown so desperate to increase its numbers they had started recruiting on potential alone instead of merit.

"Grant." The single syllable word rang out across the hallway as the steely voice called to him. Turning to see the pointed cowl and familiar dark cape wrapped around a tall silhouette.

"Bats." Grant replied with a sarcastic salute as he shouldered the duffle bag in his hand. "All this new talent and you had to come find one of the oldest heroes alive. You know my weekly meeting with Heywood is today, he'll be beside himself if I miss it."

"Henry Heywood has remembered a single one of your visits since the day you were forced to admit him to Arkham." Batman replied. "As much as I appreciate your efforts in Gotham, we have decided it would be more valuable here."

"And if I refuse?" Grant asked as Batman paused.

"You won't."

"Can't out bluff you." Ted said with a chuckle. "So what am I looking at?" He asked as Batman's cape opened, a gloved hand extending two dossiers towards Ted.

"For a minute I thought you were going to hand me a tablet." The Wildcat said with a sigh of relief.

"I knew you wouldn't read it." Batman replied, the faintest trace of a smile on his face.

"The Rookie and... the Dark Messiah?" Ted stated, his tone was incredulous at the latter name. "We letting these kids name themselves now?"

"Unfortunately." Batman replied.

"Well at least one fits. But I ain't calling anyone Messiah, let alone some kid who can't throw a punch." Ted stated as Batman nodded his approval. Opening a door into a training facility, the Bat gestured for Ted to go first as the other Gothamite obliged. Inside the room were the two recruits, awaiting the arrival of their mentor. Looking down at the dossiers in his hand, Ted matched the faces of Mikael and Duncan to their respective files as he stretched out a muscled hand to shake Duncan's hand.

"The Rookie eh? I appreciate the humility." He said before turning to Mikael. "And then there's you, the Shadow Princess." Ted said, giving Mikael's hand a tighter squeeze than necessary.

"I'll leave you to it then Grant." Batman said as Grant nodded.

"I'll see you around Bats." Turning back to his students, Grant put down his duffel bag and rolled up his sleeves, pointing to the center of the room he motioned to the two younger men to move. "Alright you two, let's see what I'm working with here, why don't you two go a round or two and then I'll step in."

Metropolis, Clark Kent's Apartment
3:30 PM EST

Superman is currently removing his glasses and such to take his exit from home when Lois catches him. He isn't as fast taking off slacks as he was twenty years ago when he introduced his Clark Kent identity to the world. Superman was just Superman living alone in his fortress in the arctic for decades only leaving when there was something threatening the Earth on a global scale. The Cuban Missile Crisis could have been a lot worse if not for the efforts of the alien hero. 'Clark' met Lois at his first job at the Daily Planet in '96. The two were married by '98.

"I'll try and be back home before she gets here..." Clark said nearly finished.

"It's fine, I'm picking her up from the Greyhound station after five. She had a layover in St. Louis." Lois replied.

"I don't understand why she didn't just fly. She doesn't have to be ashamed of her powers..." Clark began saying before finishing up.

"She likes being normal. Up until a few days ago the Justice League only had a few members, now you guys are pushing twenty. She shouldn't feel like she has to put on a costume and go out there." Lois continued picking up her husband's clothes as he headed for the window.

"I didn't say she had to be a superhero, dear. I just wanted to see her sooner because I knew something would come up. It always does. Like I said, I'll try and make this quick." Superman said with a kiss on her forehead.

"Anything worth writing about? Perry just messaged me and asked about a falling star..." Lois asked still with clothes in hand.

"If it is, Clark Kent's gonna get the headline. Love you..." and off he went.

Superman had hit the scene a couple minutes later than the other heroes. His team consisted of heroes who could all fly so teleporting into a town three cities over still got them there in no time. Not Superman time, but still long enough for the pale skinned alien biker to give them a few solid hits. They were currently in some woods, where what appeared to be an alien sky cycle laid in a crater smoking. Crashed. Polarity Man had been knocked into the neighboring town of Neligh. Bulleteer was thrown head first into the ground below him and hadn't made his way out. Mr. Clutch was engaging the enemy from the air with his weapons systems and Solara attacked the pale alien badass head on until Superman hit the scene. The grungy alien threw Solara at Mr. Clutch and damaged the undercarriage of his vehicle.

"I can tell by the S you're just another Kryptonian. Hope you're tougher than your cousin!" the alien screamed punching Superman in the jaw and sending him through several trees.

Superman stood to his feet. The alien was strong... but he wasn't fast. Superman flew towards him and asked:

"Who are you, and what are you doing in this space sector? I thought Czarnians were extinct?" Superman asked now prepared for an attack from the enemy.

"Name's Lobo, and funny this is I was thinking the same thing about Kryptonians and now I've beat on two in a day..." and then Lobo attacked with a move that nobody to this point had ever tried on Superman. He's just too powerful so why bother? He could take a nuke in the face and walk away, but nobody as physically powerful as the Kryptonian had ever attempted... a nutshot.

"Hope ya don't need those anymore!" Lobo screamed with a boot to the balls of the hero that sent him flying and in true pain physically for the first time in a long time.

Bulleteer finally got his upper body out of the soil and vegetation on the ground and Polarity Man had returned from the town of Neligh with a dent in his mech suit towards the left shoulder.

"On three?" Bulleteer asked the mech suit at his right.

"Count it down, bullet man." responded Lieutenant Trainor using the suit's voice encoder.

"THREE!" screamed the bullet headed hero flying at the alien at his top speed of 2500 feet per second sending him back into a hillside.

July 17th, 2017 - 18:30 | Justice League Headquarters - Metro Tower

Leaning under the terrace of the Metro Tower, Rose Wilson watched as a crowd of new heroes gathered for the League's 'orientation'. She still had no idea how she, the daughter of Deathstroke the Terminator had managed to land an invitation to this party but perhaps Nightwing had vouched for her.

"He always did see the 'good' in me." Rose muttered to herself, taking a drag from the cigarette held daintly between her two fingers. While smoking may not have been the best habit, Rose had always been told if she was going to do it, she was going to do it right. And thus, Rose had been training to smoke like a lady. Far easier to get information out of a target in a low cut dress with your chest stuck out while you took a drag than it was hunched over with a hand on one knee.

Photographers from the Daily Planet, National Inquirer and hell even the Gotham Gazette had gathered outside of Metro Tower, taking the every opportunity they got to fill their gossip columns with the latest who's who and who's using their powers to get it on. The Gazette in particular was rather obsessed with the sex lives of superheroes. One might even say the columnist had a fetish for it.

Noticing Batman moving through the crowd, Rose studied his movement. While the Bat was hardly known for lollygagging, he was clearly more determined than usual. Perhaps a mission had come up, Rose could use just about any excuse to get away from the press and the whole ceremony aspect. She didn't care for this side of heroics and doubted that it would ever grow on her.

Extinguishing the cigarette against the wall behind her, Rose crushed the remnants of the butt beneath her hell before moving into the crowd of other costumed fighters. Watching as Batman pulled aside the Question, Rose moved to put herself in Batman's way only for him to tap her on the shoulder.

"You... I need you too..." His words were perhaps the sweetest melody to Rose's ears as she nodded solemnly, trying not to show her eagerness.

"Everyone to the hangar, we're taking a jump-ship south." Batman said getting straight to the point.

Rose was already in her costume, having not wanted to reveal her identity like most of the others here. How Superman had gone maskless for the better part of the last century and not been outed was beyond her ability to reason. Returning to the tower's exterior, Rose quickly visited her weapon's locker. Arming herself with her pistols and swords, she ensured she brought her different ammunition types -- just in case.

Making her way to the hanger, Rose noticed the other recruits that Batman had chosen for this particular mission. The first that caught her eye was the girl with scales.

Scales? Really Rose, nevermind the fuckin' tail.

She had to question Batman's tactical assement on this one. However, perhaps the Lizard-Girl was some sort of bait for the Lion-Man. Or perhaps she was meant to be some sort of diplomatic agent since the two furries would have a lot in common.

Rose rolled her eyes, an exasperated 'huff' nearly making itself known as she moved onto the next member of the squad. Her brain was immediately taken back to highschool when the worst part in the school play was being a tree. Somehow, this guy had gotten that part for life. It would likely be in the team's best interest to keep the kid away from fire. Perhaps away from combat in general, wood wasn't exactly known for being the best line of defense.

Turning to the last member of the team, Rose held onto the thinnest shred of hope that they'd be someone of use. Instead, she found herself staring into a faceless man dressed like Don Draper. It was quickly becoming apparent that she was this team's first line of defense.

With a reluctant sigh, Rose climbed onboard the jump-ship. Buckling herself in, she positioned her body to watch out the front while Batman expertly piloted the ship into the sky.

Don't underestimate them.

The male voice in her head made Rose cringe as she tried to get comfortable on the hard seat.

Shut up.

The jump ship made admittedly good time. Travelling from Metropolis to St. Roch in less than half the time any commercial plane could have made it. Rose had only seen comparable times from some of the private jets her father had chartered over the years. Realizing they were getting close to their drop site, Rose decided it would be best to try and get everyone talking, perhaps work out some of their jitters before the group was ejected from the plan and plummeting towards the ground.

"So..." Rose said, breaking the dull roar of the jump ship's stealth engines. "Q? Can I call you Q?" She asked looking directly towards the Question. "Why do you dress like you're out of the forties? I get that your whole schtick is being a detective but surely the Dick Tracy look could be updated? Maybe some leather?" She jested, put one leg up on her chair as she rested her chin on its knee.

"We're coming up to the drop." Batman's voice could be heard loud and clear as Rose stood up among her teamates and began to fasten her parachute. Looking around, the Lizard caught her eye. Reaching out a hand, Rose tried her most sincere voice as she offered her assistance.

"Ever put on a parachute before? It's not the easiest thing the first time, I can give you a hand if you'd like."
