A self-made man, Loren Jupiter is an expert investor and financier who in his lifetime, has used his money and intellect to become a man with a lot of influence. A multi-millionaire several times over, Jupiter doesn't bat an eye at a cost and instead looks at the outcome and weighs the worth against the investment. A fan of the Justice League, in general, larger-than-life individuals, funding the Teen Titans is something of a personal joy for Jupiter as he sees it as a way to give back and invest into Earth's future.
A widower with no children of his own, Jupiter has taken a shine to Lilith, treating the girl as though she's his own daughter. Though by and far, Jupiter extends a fatherly figure over any of the Titans who will allow him to be such. A shrewd businessman with a keen eye, Jupiter knows exactly how to present the team in order to continue to garner public favour.
However, as trustworthy as he seems, Jupiter is not without his own agendas and though they're unknown at this time, there is no doubt that he has them. Many suspect Jupiter has abilities of his own, though none have ever been revealed, and the man is incredibly knowledgeable, even for an individual of his age, talking as though he's lived several lifetimes over, far beyond the fifty years he actually is.
While there is no doubt that Loren loved his late wife, there is another he loved more dearly, one who got away, and his heart longs to one day be reunited with that fiery woman.
The team's coordinator and liason, Jupiter does not venture into the field, but is often close by monitoring the situation via VTOL aircraft capable of quickly extracting the team should they get in over their head. This vehicle has been affectionately dubbed the 'T-Bird'.
A young woman with powerful precognitive powers, Lilith Clay was born under mysterious circumstances, snatched away from her birth mother in the middle of the night and delivered to an orphanage. She was adopted quickly and grew up in a loving family until the age of thirteen, when her powers began to manifest. Soon after, she accidentally read the minds of her parents and discovered them to actually be her foster parents. Lilith was then told her birth mother, a woman with red hair, left her in the care of the nearby orphanage. A new fire burning within her, Lilith set out to find her biological parents; at age 16, she left home.
Throughout her travels, she was largely unsuccessful in the search for her real parents and became an object of disgust and scorn. Because of her mental powers, Lilith was accused of being a witch. This was not helped by the recurring dream of the world ending, a vision which eventually caught the attention of Loren Jupiter. Unlike others she had met in her travels, Jupiter immediately viewed Lilith as trustworthy and sane, taking action of her visions and leading to the creation of the Teen Titans. Though Jupiter treats all the Titans with respect, Lilith has found that the older man dotes on her as a father would a daughter.
An early warning siren for the team, Lilith operates as an unofficial member and mostly stays to the tower. Though she has other abilities beyond her precognition, the powerful telepath prefers to stick to herself afraid of accidentally hearing something she shouldn't or her other abilities harming someone. A wallflower, Lilith is generally around, but rarely involved in most of the team's antics.
OOC is up, and the opening IC post is available to read and brainstorm over if you'd like. Once the cast is selected, I'd love to brainstorm some existing relations and previous interactions with everyone.
Players will be taking on the roles of some of DC's most iconic characters. Any character who has been a member of the Teen Titans in canon is on the table, with of course the GM having the final say. Players are able, and encouraged, to take their character and reimagine, or 'ultimate-ize' their origins in a way that suits them and brings fun, fresh and new ideas to the table. The limitation however is that the character has to have been canon to DC and at one point a member of the Teen Titans. Completely original characters are not the intention of this roleplay.
The wider story will be shaped pending the accepted cast. For instance, the inclusion of Raven might lead to Trigon shaping the greater plot, while Starfire could lead to intergalactic adventures or clashes with cosmic foes such as Lobo. In terms of players, I'm looking to keep this small and closer to the most consistent team size of approximately five to six Titans which includes myself.
Given the smaller size, characters will be scrutinized more thoroughly to build a strong, diverse cast. Some overlap will be allowed, but the chances of both Dick Grayson and Tim Drake being accepted are slim to none. Likewise, if our Robin were to be Damian or Jason, then someone applying as Ravager would be in direct competition with that application. Ideally, the cast will complement one another, and have weakness and flaws to cover. Since this is a new iteration of well-known characters, dynamics, relationships and rivalries can all be reworked and unique to the RP. Raven and Beast Boy don't have to end up in a relationship for example. Just try not to make your characters so far from the original that they're unrecognizable looking at you 'Titans'.
Like I've done in the past, the application process will last for a stated duration of time. During that window, players will be able to put their best foot forward. Once the window elapses, I'll be selecting the determined number of characters from the submitted sheets. In the event, the number of players does not exceed the maximum open slots, but there are characters overlapping as described above, then one or more players may be asked to submit a new application.
If you're feeling particularly ambitious, you may submit a backup character sheet should you have a preference toward a second option character.
Character Applications will be accepted until MondaySaturday, April 2119, 2025.
R U L E S & R E G U L A T I O N S:
◼ Don't be a Dick, unless you're a Grayson. ◼ Don't make me Wonder, Girl where your post at? ◼ Keep all the Raven in the OOC. ◼ If you think someone is a Star, fire off some praise in the OOC ◼ It'd be really Super, boy, if you could let me know if you won't be able to post. ◼ Some people post in a Flash, but not everyone is Speedy. Respect your other players. ◼ Don't be Robin people of the spotlight, let everyone have a chance to be a hero.

A B I L I T I E S ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ BERSERKER STATE A gift from her father, Troia can fly into an uninterruptible berserker state when enraged or severely wounded. In this state, she becomes a threat to friend and foe alike, single-minded in her objectives. Her pain tolerance greatly increases and Troia loses any remaining inhibitions or fear making her a nearly unstoppable instrument of wrath.
◼ CHARISMA Troia has natural truth-coaxing powers even without the use of magic or other instrument. The average individual would find it almost impossible to lie in her presence and especially to her directly.
◼ DIVINE EMPOWERMENT As a member of the Valkyrie, Troia possesses the potential powers of an Æsir as bestowed by Odin upon his Shieldmaidens. Among these abilities are accelerated healing, flight, superhuman agility, strength, stamina, speed and even reflexes fast enough to allow to intercept multiple bullets with her bracers. Troia also possesses a high resistance to damage and magical attacks. Her resistance to injury is not quite as great as those of Superman or other similarly powered individuals, however, due to her vast threshold for pain and her Valkyrian ability to heal at a superhuman rate, this easily makes up for the difference.
◼ LONGEVITY Like the rest of her kind, Troia doesn't age provided she regularly ingests the golden apples of Iðunn. Though she also possesses a longer lifespan even in the Man's World than that of the average human.
◼ PSYCHIC LINK Troia possesses a psychic link with Diana, allowing the pair to feel each other's emotions, dreams and even thoughts.
◼ WINTER MANIPULATION A unique gift even amongst the Valkyrie, Troia has the limited ability to control and manipulate cold. Some believe this is due in part to her mysterious paternity. Troia can summon winter storms through gusts of wind, snow and ice flurries and even drain heat from the air, imbuing her weapons with the cold of Winter's bite.-

◼ AXE A bearded axe akin to those used by the Vikingr. Forged of Blodstál, steel quenched in blood of giants, svartalfs and forged by the dwarves Brokk and Sindri, its an axe capable of shearing through most known materials.
◼ BRACERS OF VICTORY Wrist bracers forged of Blodstál, capable of even deflecting gunfire and other weapons.
◼ SHIELD A shield forged of Mithril and Blodstál, definitely doesn't obey the laws of physics and is capable of being hurled and thrown, bouncing off of surfaces and returning to Troia.
◼ SWORD A sword that can transform into a spear with the twist of its hilt, like her axe, Troia's blade was forged by Brokk Sindri and is made of Blodstál. -

T H E S T O R Y S O F A R... T H E S T O R Y S O F A R...
Long before the Age of Man began, the Nine Realms were in turmoil, ripped apart by the war between the Æsir and the Vanir. The Vanir had allied themselves with the Jötnar and were exhausting the forces of the Æsir and Asgard until Odin arrived with new reinforcements. Riding alongside the Alföðr, were a unique group of Shieldmaidens, handpicked and trained by Odin himself. Dubbed the Valkyrie, they changed the war's course and spread peace through the nine realms.
Thor, Odin's son, however, was jealous of Odin's preferential treatment of the Valkyrie. Believing himself to be Asgard's best warrior, Thor began to act out and tried to have Shieldmaidens, chiefly their leader Brynhild, put out of his way. His actions ultimately led to the death of Sigurðr leading to banishment for both Thor and the Valkyrie.
But Odin took pity on his Shieldmaidens and granted Brynhild and the Valkyrie a home in Midgard while retaining their might and prowess. This home was the island of Paradis hidden in the far North of the Atlantic Ocean. Under the care of the Valkyrie, Paradis became a unitary sovereign city-state and archipelagic island nation, hidden from the world by Æsir magic which cloaked its cliffs, fjords and glacial valleys behind an impenetrable wall of frost.
Or so, it was believed until a plane managed to pierce the veil at the height of the Second World War.
The pilot survived the crash, asking for help from the Shieldmaidens, one such Shieldmaiden could not ignore the call of war and with the blessing of her Queen, the one called Diana, emerged to the world and became known as Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman would go on to become one of Earth's greatest heroes and peacekeepers, becoming a founding member of the Justice League and inspiring another generation of heroes.
Eager to follow in her footsteps, was none other than Diana's adoptive sister, Troia. One of the fiercest warriors amongst the Valkyrie, Troia trained every day to compete with Diana in hopes of one day holding the title of Wonder Woman. For years, it felt like that day would never come until Diana went missing. Begging Brynhild to send her to the land of Man, her Queenmother relented and Donna was adorned in Mirthril armour and equipped with weapons forged of the strongest Blodstál.
P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )
I've always enjoyed mythology and Wonder Woman and her affiliated characters offer an opportunity to tie into that world. In previous RPs, I've also had a lot of fun RPing as Thor, so I figured I'd try and take a page from Absolute Wonder Woman, rewrite the origins and tie them to Norse Mythology and the Valkyrie. This version of Donna is a bit different and takes some story notes from the original Cassie Sandsmark with the mysterious paternity aspect while still playing much closer to Donna Troy. Ideally I'm looking to explore story notes with a villainous Thor, Troia taking on the identity of Donna Troy, becoming not only a teammate but a leader, as she learns to rely on others and of course finding both Diana and the identity of her father.

A wallflower, Lilith is generally around, but rarely involved in most of the team's antics.
The smell of acrid smoke choked her, suffocating her beneath the consuming flames of raging fires surrounding her. The flames tore through buildings and debris, screams echoed through what was left of the city's streets. Mothers wept over their children, while defiant husbands were cut down quickly by the opposing invading forces. No matter where she looked, her tired eyes were met with bloodshed and horror. Muscles too weak, too sore to respond. She tried to no avail to intervene but found herself completely helpless to do so.
This is how the nightmare started.
Flames wicking away at the ragged scraps of a tattered red cape billowing in the wind. The man it belonged to was long gone, nowhere to be found, yet scattered everywhere as the colossus towered over the battlefield. The battle had barely lasted long enough to call it that, not nearly enough to sate the colossus' hunger for war.
Around her, the world was ripping itself apart. Her champions were laid bare across the desolate wasteland that was once her home. The Justice League had fallen, unable to turn the tide of battle as the nations ripped themselves apart, thrown into a fury. Hidden nations rose from beneath the ocean, dragging the mainland to the depths below while warriors previously veiled descended upon the armies of man.
The colossus revealed in the destruction, but when the smoke cleared his appetite still was not satisfied but nothing remained to wage war. Fiery eyes looked upon Lilith, a sneer beneath the horned helmet before the deafening voice bellowed towards her.
"Avert your eyes, Little Seer, this doesn't concern you."
Frozen in place, Lilith tried to move, she tried to run, she tried to scream. But nothing came out, paralyzed with fear. She could only watch as the spear travelled through the air before piercing her torso.
Sitting up in a cold sweat, Lilith Clay buried her damp forehead in a pair of equally clammy hands. Crimson locks spilled over her bare arms as she brought her knees to her chest, breathing heavily. Removing her hands from her face, they patted her body, checking for injuries, striving to convince herself that nothing she had experienced was even remotely real.
It was just a dream.
That was the lie she told herself, but Lilith knew, it was only a dream right now. The nightmares were persistent, the exact scenario inconsistent. Elements however remained the same, the world lost to war, the death of the Justice League and the towering colossus. She didn't know its name, but it embodied rage and wrath.
It had summoned armies from every corner of the realm. Those who dwelled below the depths rose to the service of the Sky Lord's brother, while armies from the lands of ice and cold followed behind the crimson mane and crackling hammer. These armies of the heavens clashed against one another while Earth was caught in between. Her protectors fell so quickly, unprepared for those who came and Lilith each night was helpless to stop it.
Or at least she had been.
Several months ago, Lilith had found hope in the form of Loren Jupiter. Jupiter was the first to earnestly listen to her visions and not only believe them but take action. The self-made man, invested time and money into something he liked to call 'Titans of Tomorrow', but the media instead had dubbed the 'Teen Titans'.
Under the guidance of Lilith's visions and Jupiter's resources, the pair put together a team of young heroes to create a successor to the mythical Justice League. Something that hadn't been formally organized before. Though the 'Teen Titans' had detractors, it wasn't long after their first battle together that the Titans began to garner public favour.
But the nightmares remained unchanged.
War was coming, and if something didn't change soon, Lilith wasn't sure that they'd stop it. The team had shown initial promise coming together and stopping Cinderblock. But, they were still getting to know each other and living under one roof had certainly illuminated a culture clash. Not a surprise when you have just about every personality living in close quarters, training against one another and ultimately just existing.
There were times that Lilith wished she could turn off her abilities, she had heard more than a few passing thoughts that she'd rather unheard.
Suddenly, a piercing headache caused Lilith to double over in pain. She had barely made it out of her bed before she found herself frantically reaching for it again, preventing herself from falling to the floor. Images danced in front of her eyes, altogether at first before the layers started to come apart and the vision played out linearly.
Lilith saw the prisoner transport stalled on the side of the road. Its doors were blown off and heavy footprints cracked into the asphalt. Screams filled her head as a car flew through the air and she was brought face to face with Cinderblock.
Free again.
"No."
An alarm echoed through the Titans tower, rousing those within as Jupiter's voice echoed through the bunks.
"All team members please suit up. We have a situation developing."
