Reluctantly retired roleplayer.

Except when I'm not.

Why are you here when you should be writing posts?

You can edit a bad draft, but you cannot edit a blank page.

In any group dynamic, disagreements and differences of perspective are inevitable. As much as I appreciate the discourse, there comes a point where it starts to become unproductive.

If there needs to be further discussion of this, I think that would be better done privately, either with or without one or both of the GMs.

I've made my position crystal clear. Should the GMs feel they need to intervene, I welcome them to veto me. But should Thor intervene with my plots uninvited, my plots will retaliate in force.

When it comes to events in Metropolis that you don't want Thor interfering in can I get a heads up so I can prepare a reason for his absence or lack of interference so Thor's not out here looking like a bum who doesn't care about protecting his city and people? Like now with Lobo hovering in the middle of Metropolis and creating a sonic boom while doing so. For this I would prefer if it was happening at the same time as the Fire Trolls event so Thor would have a legitimate reason for not being there and at least confronting Lobo's presence.

I can't speak for everyone, but I rather my crossovers be coordinated in advance. I wouldn't particularly welcome it if someone were to interject themselves in my plot without an invitation being extended first.

By which argument again, every post can more or less be in the present unless otherwise stated or previously coordinated.

The onus is not going to be on me to tell you when not to be involved. Unless you're completely gone deaf, I've very clearly stated my feelings on the matter, if I want the interaction an invitation will be put forth.

As others have noted, it's not unusual for multiple heroes to occupy a space where events happen without them all dogpiling on them. By your logic, if you had placed Thor in New York you'd be expecting Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Martian Manhunter etc all to communicate anytime they didn't want Thor to intervene in their plots.

Which hopefully sounds as ridiculous to you as it is.
I think everyone has their own preferences.

Good communication is key to these things. Some people want more spontaneity, some people want more structured interactions. So long as we're communicating the desire and the expectation as we go, we should be able to make it work.

C'mon, Bounce, let us argue for another page of the OOC at least.

Seconded. While I want interaction and actively seek it, there will be moments that are important for my characters to experience themselves without everyone else there.

This is how we avoid Robinson Park.
Except that with character crossovers, having a rough timeframe is useful so that we know by and large what's going on with those characters at that moment of interaction. And so we can then have events have ripple effects across the rest of the universe.

We're trying to be a new shared universe here. We may as well try not to fall onto Comic weaknesses as much a possible.

Lowkey, I hope Spider-Man stays a teenager so the turtles can interact with him down the line.

Is it still lowkey if you voice the opinion?

If Squirrel Girl's first post isn't her defeating Karaku we riot.

Also, with so many things being written at once, I think we should have some kind of dating system so we know when everything's taking place.

Feels unnecessary, just acknowledge events and occurences in a way that best suits your character or the overall consensus.

For instance there's no reason to assume that anything happening during the Superman posts are happening at the same time Fire Trolls are attacking New York. Also various posts advance time different.

The general year and season is about as specific should apply across the RP.
