Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

You recognize that this is a poker chip. Poker being a general term for any card games really, and most card games on the road is played using regular copper/silver/gold coins, but more organized establishments will use chips to hedge the favor towards the house (You need to pay the house to even play, regardless if you win or lose your chips) and to show that the establishment is generally better than your average game of blackjack at a pub.
Gaddammit I forgot you had that ability. Now I gotta roll for all of these orcs. Well in any case, only 4 out of the 9 orcs passed, so 5 of them are frighten. GG. I'll get a post up soonish.
Perception check:

You can tell that the chip is fairly worn. It's very flat, the paint is peeling, and the edges have been chipped away. Underneath the paint coating, you can see that it's some sort of rather cheap ply wood and the fact it wasn't splintering already was likely due to said paint coating. Finally you can notice that the spider image on the surface isn't perfectly centered and seems to lean more towards the left side.
Any of y'all can roll me a Card game check using intelligence if you're proficient in card games, or a perception check.
Gilgan wordlessly takes the gold coin and gives back nine silver pieces and three coppers. A nearby sign showed that a mug Dwarven Stout was worth 7 coppers. "Information huh. Wish I had some information myself. I can only assume drow because a few days ago found one snooping in my tavern, inside my daughter's bedroom. I thrashed him about and question him about my daughter but he was tight lipped. Kept saying how she was 'part of them now' and other shit like that." You could hear the anger rising in Gilgan's voice. He was barely containing it in front of you all as he poured himself a drink to calm down. "After I snapped his neck all I found on him was a knife, his coin purse, and a couple of trinkets. In particular this coin." Gilgan slides over a strange white-and-red coin. It seemed to be made of some sort of wood and it had the image of a spider on one side. "Some sort of game chip. That's how I know she must be in the Eastern because that's where all the gambling halls are at. I don't know what hall uses this chip specifically but I bet it's drow. Damn darkies are always going on about their spider queens."
You could sense a wave of unease wash over your crew. They were bloodied by battle already, but this would be the first time most of them have ever taken on an orcish warband. Most of them have killed sure, and fought warriors of their equal, but orcs were a whole different foe. However shortly after you gave your orders Tayang was quick to follow up and start delegating tasks to your men. "You heard him men! Prepare for battle! John, Hector, arm your bows! Hurrik, give us fire! Derrick, Oliver, you two with me!" Everyone scrambled to their positions and got themselves readied for battle. You could see Nyx casting a spell over herself, creating some mage armor. Kulee whispered a prayer as he turned the wheel of the ship and head in the direction of the orcs.

It would only take a minute before the ships would threaten to clash. "They're aiming to ram us!" Hurrik shouted out in warning. Sure enough those orcs were going straight towards the prow of the ship. Orc warships had an armed front precisely for these sorts of maneuvers. However Kulee wasn't about to let them get it easy; with the winds pushing from the west he maneuvered the ship in such a way that the two vessels would sail past one another. The orcs threw javelins while your crew returned fire, however, neither attacks managed to harm anyone aside from the ships themselves. "This is it! Get ready!" Kulee shouted as the winds from the storms gave the Kraken the tailwind it needed to move with a burst of speed, enabling to to move around to get parallel to the orcish warship.

"This is it lads! You've plundered and bloodied your blades before, but today you'll prove to the gods your worth!" Tayang shouted as the two ships collided together, jostling everyone on both sides. From your position you could see that the orcish warship had at least ten warriors on it, as well as many galley slaves chained to the side manning the oars. A mixture of dwarves, gnomes, and halflings. They were obviously abused and malnourished but don't seem eager to fight, keeping their heads down. Of the orcs, one looked like something akin to it's captain, given his fancy horn pouldron.

Oh whack, you actually get to go first. Gaddamn. Aight I'll post the battlemap first, and then proceed with rolls.
Nice. Maybe if ya get a bard or something, you'll have a kickass themesong when your crew is on a raid. Also roll me Initiative if you would. Shit's about to get hairy.
Now on his feet and alive, Balder sees that most of the striders have been taken down and the Troll was on fire. He tries to cast a ray of frost against the beast, but he didn't seem to particularly notice nor care. His tough hide and body likely resisted the chilling effects. So Balder looked over to Leanna, speaking something in druidic as she would feel her wounds heal.

Finally Durnan unleashed a flurry of attacks against the troll, each blow cutting deep into the beast. With his last blow the troll fell, his body smoldering. Durnan simply tossed another flask of oil onto his burning body to ensure that the job was done. Now all that was left were the sleeping stirges, which would've been dispatched with effortless ease by either the party or Durnan himself. The barkeep sighed and looked at everyone with a nod. "Thanks for the help. Anyone hurt?" By this time only a few patrons returned to the Yawning Portal while the workers went about cleaning up the mess. Despite the battle that just took place everyone seemed to work fairly orderly as if this is not an uncommon occurrence here. Durnan even went back to his bar, putting his sword away as he was getting treated for his wounds and before too long he was back to cleaning cups.

As for the rest of the party you'd hear clapping from one of the rooms to the north. "Bravo I say, bravo! That was a most wonderful battle! Your skills are certainly exemplary!" These compliments came from a somewhat familiar face for some of you: Volothamp Geddarm, a writer and adventurer known for his many books about the things he's seen during his travels. He was with his assistant, a bookish looking woman who seemed quite shocked at the violence that had taken place. "I must say, you all are exactly the type of people I was looking for! If you wouldn't mind, may I speak to you all in the conference room? I believe I have a deal for you all that you'll most enjoy!"

Gilgan looked at the assorted crew in front of him. Despite being a gruff dwarf, he didn't seem too perturbed. Weirdos were a common sight in the city. He pours everyone a mug of dwarven stout as he speaks to them. "I'll get right to the point. I need y'all to find me daughter, who I believe is with a bunch of gangers over on the Eastern. They've gotten her mixed up with some bastards, mainly drow. I don't know what she's been doing but I want her to come back home. I got 500 gold for this job, and I'll pay the 100 in advance. Bring my daughter back alive and you get the rest of your payment and free drinks from me." Gilgan looked to the crew one more time, as if assessing their strength. He sighed before speaking up again. "Her name is Sandwich Stoutaxe. If anything happened to her that she... Couldn't make it... She ought to have the family axe with her. Hopefully. Bring that back and I'll pay at least 200 for the effort. Ask yer questions if you got any."
