Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Are we allowed to make subordinate NPC's? I'm thinking of livening up the Big Scrap Alley by having Tungsten revive a couple of NPC's who didn't survive the Guild Fall.
Malkus takes a moment to think. While coming back to the tavern would be the easiest, he doesn't imagine that shopping would take all day so there was another place they could meet. "When you're finished shopping, meet me at the arena. You can't miss it. It's the large stadium near the city gates, plastered with crossed swords over a red shield. There you can train a bit with your new weapons, even bring in your horse." Taking your sword, Malkus stands up and draws it, getting a better look at it. He doesn't say anything as he puts it away.

"As for your equipment, the market should be open now. Plenty of fletchers and tanners. I recommend shopping with a merchant named Yurt the Bower. His shop caters to hunters, so I'm sure you can find decent, affordable equipment from him. He does trade in too so you could sell your old bow if needed." After securing your sword to his own belt, Malkus heads out to get it worked on. Some more folks entered to eat their morning meals, get a drink, or were coming in to rest in their rooms after a night shift.
Malkus looks over to you with a nod. He motions her to sit as he takes out another loaf of bread, with some dried fruit, a few strips of salted jerky, and cold peas. "Eat. We'll need to save money for gear soon. Bagai found a lead on his brother. Couple of travelers stopped by and reported being attacked by a gang of bandits. Saw them hauling some prisoners in a cart. Bagai thinks his brother might be there too. He's gone off to scout, so we need to get yourself ready for the trip." Finishing his meal, Malkus puts the rest of his rations away and waits for you to finish as well. He will let you keep it, as he has plenty to spare.

"When you're done eating, give me your sword. I'll head over to the guild to get it worked on. I can tell just from it's handle it's in terrible shape, so let me sharpen it up before you need it. While I do that you should go see about buying a horse. We can travel faster that way, and on an open field we can out maneuver any ambush. One last thing: stay out of trouble. Like Bagai said yesterday, chances are the guard works with the thieves and it's impossible to know who to trust, especially since you're a foreigner here. If you run into trouble head to the merchant's guild. They're at the center of town and have a big emblem with scales and coin, you can't miss it."
DOMIC ROCKERSTAR HATCHETMAN

Domic clapped his hands, an idea already forming. "Right then, sounds like we got a plan. We take some boats and look for any survivors." He says with a confident nod and heads towards the docks. "We're going to find something out there, so let's get to it while we're still warm and tender. Also, don't suppose any of you know how to row a boat? Stubby arms you know, ain't great for you man-sized folk." With a skip in his step and a direction to go, Domic heads to the boats and commandeers a skiff. "Official orders from you town's captain! Me and my blokes are going to take this here skiff and look for those missing fishermen. We're going to find something, so if you folk could kindly led us a boat so we can be on our way, that'd be much appreciated!"
Aight. I'll do it when I get home. Just landed fry flight.
I live! Suppose I could have Domic just sorta lead the group off sewhere now? We got blanket premission to take a boat so unless there's any objections we can just go and start rolling.
Cheers to 2022! No problem, honestly it's been hell for me since the start of the holidays. Frankly having one less RP ony mind helped me organize my current RPs a bit more. Butt yeah feel free to post whenever, I'll try to respond asap.
Either by habit or by chance, Amelia would awaken shortly before dawn. She could just barely see the glimpse of orange on the horizon through her window. It was almost tempting to stay in bed, for it was warm under the covers but cold in her room. If or when she would awaken, she would hear some bustling in the tavern. Seems like the owners were already awake and getting ready for the day. There were very few patrons here, and what few were here seemed to only be stopping by to drop off cargo and supplies, as no sort of morning meal had been ready yet. That being said Bagai and Malkus were awake and seemed to be eating from their own supply of bread and dried fruits. Bagai seemed to be talking about something with Malkus but he was speaking in a hush, serious tone. Shortly after Bagai would leave in quite a hurry out of the door while Malkus stayed to finish his meal. Unlike before, he was fully suited up this time.
Taking a seat alongside the other overseers, Tungsten listened to Faetalis' decree. It... Surprised him. Excited him. But it also made him feel something he's never felt before. As a Cyber Skeleton, emotions are a somewhat foreign concept to him. Strange considering his musical abilities are all about stirring up emotions, but he himself has not felt anything that was not simply programmed into him. And thus those emotions are little more than social indicators that he must act upon based off stratagems and probability. But this emotion he felt right now... He had no response to.

It was not the war against the Nyll Empire that made Tungsten feel this way. He frankly cared very little towards them. While he hopes to facilitate some sort of short war that ultimately ends with peace, Tungsten was also fully prepared to wipe out every single person in that empire if that is what Faetalis commands him to. And doing so would not even trigger any more of an emotional response than if he had to kill one. Really the only thing that concerned him was sending a few more of his agents into the Empire in order to gather more information. No, there was a different thing that worried Tungsten. As Faetalis produced the Soulbound Keys his body tensed. "Thank you, Creator Faetalis. I will be worthy."

After taking his key Tungsten had already sent a command through Io to his Cyber Skeletons to begin construction. For now production of more BIGS and the Excavator Big would have to halt, as those resources will now need to be spent fortifying the floors he now Supervises. He intends to make his floors killing zones. A place where no hope passes through, only allies of the Infactorium. Because once in his existence, Tungsten... Tungesten felt a dark emotion. The feeling of sorrow and dread. Looking down at the key Tungsten closed his hand tightly. If he was capable of tears he would have shed a single droplet.

Due to the attunement of these Soul Bound keys, Faetalis would no doubt be able to feel Tungsten's pain. Maybe even his thoughts. "Long have I awaited for your return, my creator... AlphaQ. When will you return to us? Why have I heard nothing from you, after all this time? Only the Creators would know and none will speak. Creator Faetalis is the only one with us but... Surely, you will return. That is my wish. My desire. But this key... This Authority... This is yours. This was your duty. For me to take up your mantle would mean that... You will not return. Why. Where did you go? Why did you forsake me? What must I do to bring you back?" The Darksteel Colossus sat so absolutely skill, one could mistake him as merely a statue. Whether or not Faetalis knew how Tungsten felt or if she was prepared to tell him, she would know the truth. The truth that no one, not Tungsten, nor any other creator knew.

AlphaQ had died. The mortal player was killed in a car accident. In reality, AlphaQ was but a young woman working a harrowing office job, and one her way home she was struck by a drunk driver. Her insurance wasn't able to cover the cost of the surgery needed to save her life. With what little life she had left, she had told her family not to saddle themselves with the debt of saving her life. It was at the same time she told Faetalis about her fate. She passed shortly after, having never had a chance to try and settle her accounts with the rest of the guild or Tungsten. The whole time, Tungsten simply waited for her. She told him she would return and that he simply needed to continue his duty until her return. When she comes back she'll start working on what she left off on. But now she'll never return, and Tungsten must continue where she left off. This terrified him.

But Tungsten would not tell Faetalis his thoughts. That was not a burden he would share. Even if he knew the truth, even if he had his suspicion, the only thing that keeps him going is that false hope and the duty he was given. Faetalis has given him job and this will give him purpose. The hope of his creator's return is what drives him to live. But the emotions he felt, that is what is going to guide his hand as he designs these floors. His love, his hate, and all of his sorrow, channeled into the creation of these two floors. He will create a wall of guns that will destroy any enemy that arrives, and the remains of their blasted corpses will be the only refuge for any invader. Yes, this is what Tungsten felt. This was the only way Tungsten could cope.

"Our enemies will be grease for the machine."
I live. Sort of. Got to be honest, the holidays really killed a lot of motivation I had and as is, Reyvadin doesn't really have much going on right now that I feel like he needs to interject. Unfortunately skullduggery and mysticism isn't really skills that Reyvadin has much of, so I'm in that impass where I'll basically be making a post that could be summed up as "Reyvadin quietly follows the group until they need him to do something". Which would make for a poor post, but alas that's the best I can think of atm. Also Reyvadin's poor, so he's not going to spend his money on trivial stuff like a fortune teller.
