Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Seems like we're having trouble. For the sake of kicking things off I'm going to take a big step tomorrow and Ginger can tell me if I went too far after.
I have no idea what's going on. Someone want to fill me in while I wait for my blow up pool to be filled?

There's some fun stuff happening at the Frenzy Camp but other than that we're mainly waiting for anything Games-related to happen.
@LugubriousI guess we thought it was kind of implied, given the circumstances and the OOC chatter, and what I meant by "don't change your post but do let us fight" is that you have Hyun and Jane back off and let the two fight it out.

What I had is too dramatic for that. Have the two fight, then I'll replay the cut scene in an IC minute or too.

Sooo should I wait to post orrr.

Go ahead. Jane's interacting with Riona now, since I forgot about her previously.
@Lugubriousman, I get why you're stopping the fight, but couldn't you have at least let it get going a little before ending it just like that. Me and Kio have been waiting for this a little while since the last time it got interrupted. I'm not saying change your post, just don't up and end the fight before we get the chance to actually have a fight. I'm not going to lie, I find it more than a little annoying.

Well if you wanted there to be an all-out brawl you should have told me. How am I supposed to know? And you are saying to change my post. I'll find some way to work it out differently.
Hey @floodtalon, you still with us? I remember someone saying that you're in on the CODE collabs, but I'd like to see you respond in person because I'm a persnickety gut ache, please.
Indigo Afina – Frenzy Camp

@liferusher

From the start of Isla's attempt to climb the slippery slope of justifying her actions, an expression of concerned bemusement spread across Indigo's face. In unison her eyebrows lowered and the corners of her mouth twisted to face the floor. The silence between the child and the sorceress thickened into an highly uncomfortable atmosphere of tension, until Indigo managed to piece together an adequate response to the incredulous thing her captive spat out.

”You're delusional and psychopathic, but more importantly, you're wrong. Not being able to understanding something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Even if it were true, who are you to judge? Lives are not ours to arbitrate. Plus, you're acting on opinion. Isla, if I behaved like you did, I could decide your life was boring and purposeless and order you to strangle yourself. Does that sound fair to you?”

She held out her hand, and light danced across her palm. With the sound like fluttering pages in a brisk autumn wind, an ash-gray book materialized in her slender fingertips--The Order. ”In this guild, S-rank wizards and above have the authority to dispense justice where we see fit. Our judgment is trusted and respected. Even so, I would not make idiotic presumptions about any life, even yours. But I will take measures to ensure that you can never force someone else to live a lie again.” The book fell open, and Indigo's voice changed. It took on a subtle reverberation, her voice attuned to her very soul. Its rhythm changed to match Isla's, and link the two souls together. When she spoke, the eyes of the sorceress held no love. ”I order you: cooperate completely with Frenzy Plant's mission to track down your paintings...”

“Or forget how to paint forever.”

Chester Graham – Frenzy Camp

@Oblivion666

Keeping his eyes on the path ahead, Chester quickly responded, ”Just yesterday's things really. Xyster participated in a city-wide maze sort of challenge. She and some whale from Tough Love worked together to stop an airship from crashing. That made my day, for certain.” He rubbed his chin, trying to recall the previous day's matches. ”Hmm. Oh, Indigo absolutely destroyed this girl from Rider's Blade, I think. Malice, her name was. I remembered thinking: what a horrible name! Phoenix Wing's still in the lead, of course. That shapeshifter roasted some crystal sorceress pretty well. This morning, Indigo went on a treasure hunt. She and this kid Nolan, a God Slayer from Phoenix Wing, were the last ones out there, and right next to the arena they had a big battle. The climactic moment: Nolan's Ash God's Grand Cry versus Indy's Whitesky Eye. There was a weather explosion so massive, Indigo flew halfway across the city. Still got good points though. I watched the whole thing on the live TV.”

Jane Putcher – Frenzy Camp Perimeter

@lmpkio@oblivion666@raijinslayer

Never in her life had a stranger's first words to Jane been about her tits. Dumbfounded, Jane looked down for an instant before she could think of something to say, though it amounted to little more than her first instinct. ”Arr...” The next moment, fortunately, spared Jane from having to attempt a follow-up. In a roaring rampage of revenge, Marlene barreled after Argus -who until now lay beyond Jane's notice- with murderous intent. Sighing in poorly-suppressed fury, Jane picked up her Privateer and screamed, ”Avast, ya skirt wearin' gut ache! Belay that nonsense!” When her words made no impression on the Marlene, she ground her teeth, but for now allowing the angry schoolgirl and the aggravating demon to square off took care of both of her problems at once. In the meantime, another individual demanded her attention.

Jane huffed before facing Riona once again. She took the other woman's hand and shook it, saying, "Stupid lubbers. I'm gonna have to jump in soon and stop 'em tackin' around. Fer now, though, might as well stick with the assets. You be in no trouble, lass. You, at least, have a lick of sense in ya, aye? Not some squall-raisin' swab. Ya mentioned the guild master? What ya be wantin' with him?"

X – Wheel of Fortune

@Burthstone

Lockheart glanced at Lakota, whose searing grimace told her everything she needed to know. While her cooperation with the treacherous Iron Enigma mage was sealed, to assume that Lockheart would give her total compliance to Grant would be a poor call. A derisive snort echoed through the basement. Buttoning up her shirt to mask her inhumanity in preparation for departure, the Mystic Beast replied to Grant, “Ropes. Right. We'll do you the favor of not breaking out of here with hilarious impunity if you do us the favor of withholding these ropes. As for our freedom, even if Lakota here wasn't my dear associate and part of what definitely is a package deal, you'd find containing her against her will to be a wee bit of a challenge, I dare say.” She smirked and leaned back in her chair, her tentacles stretching luxuriously.
Aw, hell.
Please tell me we're going to be fighting some beasties straight from Lovecraft?
<Snipped quote by TheWindel>

Yes, they've been lulling me to sleep with the beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Don't forget the amorphous idiot flute players. They're important too, right?
