Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

A website dedicated........wow....woooooooooow...
So uh.....is there a summary for each guild XD?
Or can I get a recommendation for which guild?
Or should I just post characters, and have people want them in their guilds? This option seems the most fun~

My guild, Frenzy Plant, might not be your cup of tea exactly, but I'd be pleased if you'd take a look. Should your character hold promise, it may even come looking for you. Behold: Fiore's premier warrior guild.

Overall, Frenzy Plant best fits the description of Lawful Neutral. The guild doesn't go out of its way to perform acts of heroism, but it has standards of workmanship that keep it far beyond Dark Guild territory. It takes jobs that provide benefits, whether material or social, to Frenzy Plant and its members. Frenzy Plant is sometimes known as a mercenary guild, despite its standards. Though it has not yet happened, should a catastrophic event unite the forces of light against evil, Frenzy Plant will show up to add their strength.

The members of Frenzy Plant are a a close-knit bunch, with largely comradely bonds rather than familial bonds, earned through shared experiences and victories. That does not mean, however, that more friendly bonds haven't developed, in one way or another. As a whole, the guild itself is very combat-oriented , built like a miniature army rather than a typical employer. Fighting skill is of paramount importance, and new members are only admitted after certain trials. Tactician Sanders prides himself on the fact that however quirky his soldiers, each and every one is a capable fighter when it comes down to it.

To enter, a candidate whose character has been approved must defeat or tie one of the C-rank wizards. By defeating (but not tying) one of a higher rank, that rank can be gained. The challenged individual gets to pick where and how the challenge is conducted, and it isn't always strictly combat, though combat is almost always involved one way or another. Frenzy Plant's lifestyle is conducive to neither children nor in-guild families. In fact, to enter, a candidate must be over twelve years of age.

History
Frenzy Plant is a fairly old guild as the guilds of this age go. It began as a tiny group of magic practitioners, selling their talents in secrecy, but as time passed and the group began to attract more attention, greater discretion was used overall. As more people tagged along and more jobs completed, it fostered less secrecy and more responsibility. With the death of the old squad's leader eleven years ago, the new organization Frenzy Plant turned wholeheartedly to the cause of becoming a legitimate guild. Its headquarters in Oak Town became the fully-fledged Frenzy Fort, and since then Frenzy Plant has been a powerful and reliable magical force in Fiore.

Guild Motto:
“We never stop growing stronger.”
Firstly: Shameless plug

Second I need some help designing difference classes and types of demons. So far all I have is an incorporeal breed of storm demons that must take on a human host to exist in the mortal world. Anyone want to give me a hand?

I'd be happy to help, and perhaps to join. I hope you'e spared some time for the contest entry though, given the precious few hours remaining...?
@Lugubrious OK. I am going to try to say this without completely going awall. We do this for fun. We are not professional authors. We understand that you have no interest in this rp. However. For you to have to list everything that is wrong with this rp and then compare it to another rp that you call "adequate", in totally uncalled for. You could have simply stated that you were just making sure that you were still not interested in the rp and stopped there. Let me remind you, WE ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS. We do this because WE ENJOY IT. You cannot expect us to meet your standards of literature and you have no place to criticize this rp, especially when we never asked for it.

All cucco asked was if you wanted to join in. All you could have, and should have, said was no. You did not have to go into detail just to insult this rp. Simply put, it's rude.

While I understand why you would linger if you were interested, it does not make sense, in my personal opinion, for you to stay here when you have made it quite clear that you are not interested.

In short, please leave and do not come back. Have a nice day. :)

I don't think this level of aggression is warranted. I made it clear before that I wasn't going to join in, but a couple of you asked me anyway, so I thought you might be unsatisfied if I didn't explain myself. What I mentioned isn't about standards; it's about what I personally enjoy, as an explanation for my departure. I am not by any stretch of the imagination a professional, and I wasn't demanding it of any of you. I do what I do because I enjoy it too. Do you honestly think I was criticizing for the sake of being mean? Preposterous. I was offering tidbits to think about: ideas and methods you might have not considered. So you know, I was lingering because of the possibility of getting interested again, and I also did not say that Divinus was better than this RP. I was thinking that if someone took my criticisms into consideration, I would shrug and give the RP a whole-hearted chance, but now that I've shown my true colors as some evil, critical troll I don't think a single person would be alright with that.

As a writer, who loves helping out other writers any way I can, I thought I could contribute a couple of notions that people could look at if they liked. Foolishly, perhaps, I assumed that people might 'enjoy' broadening their horizons as writers and improving. I had not anticipated that at a few less-than-coddling words someone might lash back at me so, and make me seem the villain. Please forgive me for my hateful, malicious, utterly odious comments--I'll crawl back into my hole and leave you to play in peace.
@lugubrious I see you lurking, you wanna get in on this?

Quite the opposite, in fact. I'm only here confirming that everything is proceeding in a fashion entirely unsatisfactory to me. There's little buildup, little detail, and little meaning behind much of anything. I'm still getting the vibe of teenagers goofing around with superpowers, not gods. Blatantly ripping off the inklings seeming in particular poor taste, not to mention the Golden Spider from Asura's Wrath, as well as Flowey from Undertale. In general, the unoriginality is staggering. The fact that Cythella is still alive and Rhona is healed again effectively moves any chance of either drama or consequences for actions since death is a slap on the wrist, barring future developments. The amount of world-building is mediocre and uninteresting, as tends to happen when you just magic fully-developed civilizations into existence with the snap of a finger, but without really getting into detail. Instead of advancing civilization and incredible miracles, we're getting a couple of cobbled-together love stories and a little drama.

You'd be correct if you think I'm being persnickety. I was involved in a fantastic gods-related RP called Divinus. It was set in an original world, with entirely original characters, a system of 'might' that governs what the gods are able to do, and as such a slow but steady and fascinating progression. Take a look if you like. The idea is that two over-deities, Invictus and Fate, created the gods from nothing in an infinite void. As they struggle with being newly incarnated, an orb appears that they are asked to imbue with fragments of their power. From this orb the cosmos is born, and a barren planet beneath them is available. The gods start with little power, and things happen gradually. In this RP, though many of the gods seemed human, you can definitely get a sense of godhood from them.

So even if I were to join this, I would be doing something completely different to everyone else, effectively making my own story. And that's something I can do anywhere else.
I may choose Escre again. I enjoy the sort of character. However, I could very well go for something a little more emotional and colorful, though still hopefully as mysterious.
