Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. I apologize, @NarayanK. Your gift is appreciated, but even though I want to use it in recognition of the work you put in for it, the image you made looks nothing like Abel. He's more of a goatee'd brute than a hood-wearing pretty boy. I'm not asking you to make me another, but I thought I'd let you know so it didn't come as a surprise if you saw I wasn't using it.

That's highly reductionist. Allow me to offer a highly reductionist counterpoint: imagine if your dad lived across the ocean from where you, under his direction, made your house yourself, and then had to continue living under his rules. Rather than giving you an allowance, he takes one from you. Now imagine many thousands of children all doing this for that absentee father. Might this rub you and your siblings the wrong way? Again, this masks the complexity of the situation, but I've acknowledged that it's a crude summary.
I'm never a fan of gratuitous timeskips that are simply there because people feel they ought to have been there. Making this the case retroactively would mean it took Slough millions of years to walk around the shore of the Fractal Sea, for instance, but I suppose time's relative for deities.
