Called into action - by threats that seem harmonized

Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Throughout the discourse between Akoni and Sevrin, Souta wore a vindictive sneer. Anyone could see that, like a malfunctioning water heater in a house’s basement or a metal-and-plastic tea kettle negligently placed in a microwave, he smoldered as he waited to explode. Yesterday’s bullets from Gideon, defended against as they were by his aura of flowing water, stung him with frustrating potency and frequency still. The idea of unleashing what rage he could muster with his versatile Walking Armory style against a demon infatuated him completely. Lest he bungle a dangerous situation, however, he restrained his aching weapon hand while the geezer conversed. While the seconds seemed like minutes to Souta’s excited heart, the time for words ended quickly when Akoni made the first move. Souta watched intently. As smart as the mage’s move should have been, Sevrin countered it, like a snake lashing out lightning-quick against a would-be threat. This did not dissuade the smith, however, and he swung his Arclight-wreathed warhammer into the ground, ignoring Mary’s attack rush. Ghostly skeletons manifested around Sevrin, ready to grab and tear from two different angles, but the demon outdid the specters themselves with a vanishing act so abrupt that Souta blinked in surprise, followed shortly by his ethereal servants blinking out of existence.

Yet his disappearance did not allow for the full return of darkness; behind him escalated a violent, vortex-shaped light, and a threatening hum filled the corridor. The next instant it fired, a frothing stream of water made energy—no, acid made energy, for it bubbled and churned like a noxious, caustic substance anathematic to the stuff of life. As much as he wanted to fight, Souta found himself beset by screaming instincts, and he threw himself to the ground. The arcane blast soared overhead, safely passing him by, but still a real and present danger for the others. Meanwhile, the thrown blade of Mary’s flew into the creature’s maw and was lost in the evil light within. Souta stood to his feet as the weapon’s owner called for the group to spread out. ”Where? This is a hallway. There’s just forward and backward, and I know where I’m goin’.” There could be no conception of fighting a monstrous abomination with unknown powers in a tight space. As the abyssal creature began sucking in for another blast, Souta turned tail and sprinted for his life back the way he came, and hoped that the others would do the same.

Curiouser and curiouser. So long…something new to learn? No reason for reluctance. What have we here?

The otherworldly being began to move forward. Its gelatinous outer shell disgorged pitons of organic material to attach to the walls, ceiling, and floor in order to keep it steadily advancing. Its maw opened wide, aglow with a dangerous and unnerving radiance gyrating like a whirlpool. Anything nearby flew in as if sucked by a vacuum to disintegrate into nothingness inside creature’s eldritch core. It advanced, a behemoth scouring plug, a dangerously quick guarantee to annihilate anything that did not hastily escape.

This is completely appropriate. Poog? Watch out for falling rocks.

I just started spending time on junkrat he is so fun to play and useful in defense or attack really, just on attack you've gotta be smart. I play a lot of mercy got a 12 kill streak as battle mercy yesterday, people don't expect that gun sometimes. having a day off of overwatch cause the servers seem laggy.

Also on my character perhaps just a mercenary who worked with frenzy at some point in the past?

I suppose that would be viable.
C'mon @Bbeast you know how ripe and viable Slough is as a resource for creating life. Just do it. It won't have any repercussions whatsoever.

Overwatch is my drug FPS. Thats saying a lot about it considering I hate FPS. But never before have I loved making jokes about people taking my balls to their face quite literally. Zenyatta top fuck you up.

Zenyatta still is my favorite character design in the game, even if I play Torbjorn, Reinhardt, and Junkrat more. Winston and Symmetra are fun as well.

W-what do you mean I only pick characters who don't need good aim?! Baka!

Eh, life has supremacy. ^^;;;

A fact to go along with the one I stated.
I control Frenzy Plant. If you want to have a character join, that's fine, but I'm not retconning guild history to have your character have been part all this time. I definitely can, however, arrange for your character to have been part of one of the 'branches' of Frenzy Plant and just now decide to throw his lot in with the guild proper. That's be perfectly acceptable and a nice angle for outward development. Currently Frenzy Plant is on a mission in the lonesome, haggard town of Belka in the mountains, known for its medicine but said to be harboring refugees from some sort of plague in distant Eigenalle.

Overwatch is pretty fun for me, and all future content as in heroes and maps will be added free of charge according to head of development Jeff Kaplan.

It wouldn't be quiet if the players with characters in Frenzy Plant responded to my most recent post giving everyone something to do specifically (not you Oblivion or Caits, kudos to you two).
What I find stranger is how multiple characters have assumed the spider girl is a child.

The temptation to have Saffron have been Alice Cooper aged before being set on fire is huge. >.>

It's because she looks (the image you chose) and acts like a child.
To the rest of the library group sans Enter: waddap? There's not too much to go on at the moment, but from a couple of you I figure a response would be in order. There's something special coming your way soon, never fear...
More commotion with the panicked and now accusatory little drider followed the other creatures’ attempts to tranquilize her. Though unfamiliar with her new facial muscles –or lack thereof- Otsune managed a crude and rather leering approximation of a smirk, for she had been right, after all; some children made trouble not to get better but to get attention, and the show wouldn’t be over until she tired herself out. Until then, all anyone else would be doing would be to add fuel to the fire. Leaving seemed like a very attractive option to the snapjaw, and upon spying the snake Hing making his escape, she wasted no time plodding along after him.

On the threshold to the larger cavern, she froze. The sight of carnage strewn about the floor of the cave filled her with horror and repulsion. Her fellow reptile voiced what ran through her mind: staying in here was not an option. While he navigated through the mess, she opted to lope around the edge of the cavern, discerning the walls via the light streaming in through a promising hole on the other side of the slaughterhouse. In doing so she evaded almost all of the viscera, as well as a good heap of nausea. The dry wit of Neix did not reach her, but Otsune did reach the exit before her, and emerged into the dappled sunlight of a green forest. The whole scene marked such a drastic departure from the sickly spectacle seen only moments before that the snapjaw couldn’t help but feel at the complete mercy of the world. Of course, had she been human, she wouldn’t have been much better off, anyway.

Two more bestial faces in the cave exit made four new visitors to the forest total. Otsune cast an eye at Hing, Neix, and Simba, and found herself wishing they weren’t there. The whole situation came of as so confusing and insane that the presence of others only made it more unmanageable. Besides, what sort of help could she expect from them? Perhaps they would react to their new circumstances badly, or one of them would snap. The risks outweighed the possible benefits but a substantial margin, and Otsune decided that she would rather go off on her own. If one of them wanted to follow, well…she would cross that bridge when she came to it.

Slowly at first, she began to run. In truth she did not pick up much speed, since she wanted to be at least somewhat aware of where she was going. She judged that if she were human, the pace she set would amount to a jog, and to the best of her knowledge nobody ever jogged off a cliff. Regardless, she did not run for long. After pushing her way through a thicket of long grass, she discovered that she stood at the edge of a gulch. It fell for about five feet before turning into a mass of reeds sitting in molasses-brown water, buzzing with flies and stinking in a way her new senses couldn’t stand. Disgusted again, she backpedaled out of the long grass and began to follow the gulch to the right—the direction from which the barely-moving water trundled. As she moved through the underbrush, she realized just how adept her new body was at running: she didn’t feel tired at all. A jaunt like this would have at least left her haggard had she been her old self. When the ground began to slope upward beneath her, she felt as if she were in to something, and in short order emerged from a tangle of wildflowers onto the shore of a small lake. A look to the left determined that a beaver dam, or at least something similar in function, blocked the water from flowing down the gulch. The sun sparkled off the surface of the open water pleasantly, but all the same Otsune remained alert. She harbored no clue what might be waiting for her in this world, or from what direction some unforeseen threat might spring.
