Current As someone else mentioned, the site seems to be in a bit of a lull - slow. I've been here more than 10 years and slow times like this are pretty far and few between.

Colour me intrigued, I really like the idea of a cadre of legendary heroes, though I wonder what the restrictions on the worlds will be. Will all of them be fantasy, or is this going to be a bit genre-bendy? Personally, I prefer the former.

You were probably going to answer this sort of question in the OOC, sorry for my impatience.

No worries! Mostly fantasy. The most genre-bendy is like steam punk (no guns) or magitech. Things like golems or airships. I'm actually going to base my world and character of King Arthurian legend. =3 Obviously, it'll be original and you can make up whatever.

Worldwalkers are known to most worlds and even if they aren't, most of the people from them have theories or myths and legends of them. They are individuals that have figured out ways to traverse the planes of existence, either from ancient portals or powerful magics. These people are only so common that the worlds to have knowledge of others, but to be a Worldwalker is rare. Enter the heroes of this tale. Men and women from various worlds who are important in their own unique way, that suddenly find themselves in ancient ruins with a man standing in the middle of it all, robed in gold and red. He called them there, forced them to appear in his realm, which only speaks to how truly powerful he is - or seems to be. Before long, he is going to ask them for help, to aid him in binding a creature. If they accept, they will have to travel to their own worlds and destroy whatever surprise is waiting for them right around the corner...

Welcome to The Worldwalker! In this role-play, 8-10 heroes from all sorts of different worlds will be summoned to one location. As you read above, the purpose is to help him capture and seal away an evil strange creature of sorts. What makes this role-play unique and hopefully much more fun is that everyone applying will not only come up with a legendary hero of sorts, but they will also come up with the world the hero comes from. As we move from world to world to catch the creature, each player will have a chance (not a requirement) to Co-GM that world with me. Not to mention though, each world can be as unique as you can imagine - from forests to seas to floating islands with ancient golems or even a steampunk world. Anything fantasy goes basically.

The only rules that you might want to know beforehand is that I'm looking for more mature role-players, ones that can post at least once every 4 days or so, and I'll be making a discord chat - I would like it if we could all get along OOC! The main reason for this is because it'll help us all stay motivated and inspired.

If you guys have any questions or comments, then please let me know! Hopefully this will get plenty of interest!
@Yidhra Question - Sometimes I can't post for days. Do you think that'll be an issue in this group?
@Spinosaurus That wasn't made clear. Multiverse doesn't always mean from comics and games. =p

@Yidhra Thanks. I'll probably go with an original of some sort. =)
I didn't think this was a cross universe roleplay. Is it? Like we pick characters from games? I thought it was original characters only.
@Yidhra Count me in! Hopefully my girly will have romance options... =p
@Yidhra - So basically anything fantasy, modern, sci-fi ranging from mundane commoners to demi-gods... but you're allowing mundane peoples to have artifacts or items to make up for the natural difference. Is that about right? ^.^
Question - what characters are allowed? Any characters ranging from fantasy to sci-fi? I'm just trying to get a grasp on what you're looking for. It sounds like an interesting idea!

Just tagging everyone who hasn't posted. Totally cool with spending time with the families and all that, I just want to make sure this roleplay doesn't die. <3 ^.^ (Though I know Phoenix is holding off a little.)

She had it set in her mind, but suddenly something snapped her from her task, causing her eyes to drift over the garden lazily. While it was anything but lazy, her time within the Harp had taught her how to act when needed, and suspecting a spy was definitely one of those times. Now was not one of them though and it was obvious the moment she spotted the young noble - she knew he was one of theirs, but hadn't gotten the chance to introduce herself with everything that was happening. 'Resourceful,' she thought, smiling slightly to herself. "You can come out, young master.." It had been a term she picked up while abroad, though she wasn't sure others called the nobles 'master' or 'miss' as much as they did 'lord' and 'lady.'

Adelina slowly strode over to the bush the man had crawl into and placed a hand on her hip with a growing smirk. "Very clever to find that entrance.. normally only used for emergencies. I suppose it's best though, with what's going on." She nodded thoughtfully, not wanting to spook the young man, but the statement was true none-the-less. "I would advise staying by my side though or one of the knights. Just for your own protection, young lord."

The sound of footsteps caught the Songbird's attention, though it wasn't who she had been expecting. The queen gracefully strode into the garden proper, causing the knight commander to blush just enough to be noticed. Adelina had elected to stay at the castle before mainly to protect the queen, even though she hadn't told anyone that's what she was doing. Even as loyal as Samuel was, all the commanders were about doing their duties to the crown and even Eliza was so focused on Willow that Adelina thought it best that she kept an eye on Celosia. Of course, a few members of her order (especially her second-in-command Flik) knew there was another reason beyond the subtle move and anyone paying attention to her soft blushes would've finally clued onto it as well. In fact, it was one of the few things that Adelina was horrible at hiding and she often wondered if the queen had ever truly caught on.

Though as much as she adored being the queen's unofficial body guard, she did miss the old days from time to time. As it was, her position demanded that she be the decision-maker and the one that kept most of the information. Back when she was just a knight climbing the ranks though, she had fun, collecting information, playing on people's attraction to her, helping the queendom. She had never gotten that though. People had always had this sort of unusual attraction to her, like she was so easy to trust - not that she was complaining, but even her predecessor Commander Tir marveled at her unique ability. Of course some individuals had a natural resistance to it or so it seemed, such as Kolburn and Samuel. Whatever it was, she was glad for the gift.

Glancing back to Arthur as to collect her thoughts a little again, she gave him a smile - an almost shy one as she gave her attention back to her queen. ".. Celosia.." She used to be so causal with the woman, but recently she's felt so internally shy and bashful that sometimes it felt awkward to be so informal. It was a strange feeling, like butterflies making a whirlwind in her stomach. "Taking a moment to rel-"

Adelina was cut off as one of the paladins came rushing in. "Your majesty! I came to report that Sir William cured one of the afflicted! Though he is being taken to bed to rest, one of very own was saved the fate of the sickness." Assuming, and probably justly so, that the queen would soon dismiss him, the knight simply bowed deeply before running off once more - probably to attend to his commander.

The news made Adelina widened her eyes for a few moments before pursing her lips in careful thought. Just as the news sank in for Celosia, Adelina added, "good to know they are not impossible to cure. However Sir William's healing magic is one of the strongest.. and it took it out of him.." All Adelina could do then is meet eyes with Celosia with a somewhat worried look on her face. The Bladesinger never said so out loud, but she often looked up to the older woman for her wisdom.
