Should also mention the gross amount of bots that are currently plaguing the Introduce Yourself threads, by the by?

"Huh. Must've overestimated how many there were here."
"Eh, we'll call it a lucky break!"
- Finn and Oliver

Soon as he was dropped off, Finn ran over to catch up with Oliver. "I thought they were busy attacking the hotel. Where are they going??" He wondered out loud. In response, the phantom glanced back with a shrug.

"Well I dunno where else could be important besides the... Hang on," He paused, taking a moment to contact Valerie. "Oi Val, can you confirm if they're running to the Train Station??"

"Unfortunately yes, they seem to be going after areas with high civillian counts. Lots of them." Valerie explained. Though at the mention of what the demented spirits were after, the boys decided to pick up the pace.

"Must've went beserk out of hunger. Is there anyone fending them off?" Finn asked next, as they neared their destination.

"I think...yeah, there's already a magical girl there. Looks like she's holding out pretty well, but I'd hurry if I were you."

On that note, the two had ran inside to see what she ment. A purple haired girl, and what they quickly recognized as her duplicates were fending off a surprisingly small group of wendigoes. She had no weapon on her, yet managed to not only keep up with the hellish spirits' speed, but to knock one down with a kick to the skull as well. Gotta respect the hustle. Not taking any chances with the aformention creature, Oliver aimed his rifle at the downed deer-thing's heart and fired a couple of rounds. That should leave three remaining.

The duo was finally spurred to act when said remaining turned their full attention to the girl, now held captive in one's jaws. "Yeah, that ain't gonna slide here!" With a whistle, Oliver summoned his own clones. They quickly took to position, and opened fire, paying careful mind not to accidentally hit their might-be ally OR Finn.

The latter meanwhile aimed for the one holding the girl itself. He really didn't want to send any of his animals against them, atleast not yet. So letting his beast magic boost his strength and speed, he ran up behind it, intending to stab it in the heart.

If it even still beats, that is. If that doesnt kill them, atleast it'd drive their attention away from her.

...Were those crows always there?

Once she saw that Justine was out of her room, Maura's brows rose. "Ah, you're up! Come, I'll get you some breakfast!" Maybe it was to get her mind out of the proverbial gutter. She looked through the kitchen and even through the Cradle itself for anything that might seem good. Eventually she just settled for some waffles with extra toppings as an option. "Was tempted to grab some bento boxes, but that's more for a mid-day lunch. Aleast I think so." She noted.

Though as Justine prepared to head out, she also noted something was...off about her. More than usual. Maura was tempted to ask if something was wrong, but she knew better. Neither Justine or, hell, Finn heard anything from Sanngridr in a while about the past-sinner's sister. She didn't show any signs of recorrupting either. Hm. Maybe she could check on her memories later.

When Justine waited for her okay, Maura gave her a small smile. "Just be careful, alright?" she told her.

Once she left, the witch thought to herself with a chuckle. "Heh. Maybe Finn and Justine aren't so different from each other."

By some luck, the Timekeeper managed to bypass both flame and steel nuisance and found himself in the back of enemy lines. He hopped down from the wall, and pushed his goggles back up once Betty saw him. He frowned as she snarled at him. Concidering the circumstances, it wasn't surprising if she only saw a threat in him, and not the boy that unwillingly failed her. If there was still a glimpse of her humanity trying to resist, if that a part of her scorned him, he didn't care. He probably deserved it. He couldn't waste this chance.

Whether or not his melody was still active, he hurried over to the violinist, gulping down any nervousness he felt. The Timekeeper dared not to raise his weapon, but instead held a careful arm out, as if he was trying to calm down a feral beast. To reassure. The boy overheard Klava calling out another order, and something crossed his mind.

Wait, aren't all the pyros distra-

As if he payed with his own foolishness, Fable forgot about the red-haired pyromancer stalking the back of the cellar until she fired a firebolt square in his stomach. As if the equivalent of getting punched wasn't good enough, he didn't have time to reorient himself before Betty slammed his head onto the ground.

"Hrk?!?" Fortunately the trauma to his skull wasn't severe enough to knock him outright, but the resulting dizzyness felt worse than when he was knocked aside by a giant crab. As Betty prepared to slam his head back down, Fable instinctively grabbed her arm and attempted to pry himself out of her grip.

"B-Betty!! Stop, it's-" His pleas were cut short upon impact. Again. "It's me, Fabl-" And again. Fable couldn't bring himself to fight her. He wouldn't bring himself to fight any of the thralls in fact. But he still wanted to survive this, damnit! Running on whatever adrenaline he had, he quickly weaved another single melody. And if he somehow managed to kick the girl away from him, a couple of ribbons of lightning would hold her back like chains.

Was there any way to snap her out of it, without the use of lethal force?? The redhead he'd have to worry about at some point, but there were too many things going on to keep proper track of. What a headache.

While he was able to save his shirt from burning up too badly, his jacket was far less fortunate. The Timekeeper was forced to throw the burning article off and drop kick it aside. Without it, the others could see a hint of his mechanical nature; the kid's arms were built similar to a ball-jointed doll. It irritated him that his retaliation against the opposing duo failed to stagger Bob, but it gave some of the others a short time to act. Protector attempted to restrain the huntress and the robot (Fable rose a brow in seeing only one of the latter's legs get entangled), giving the Pepsi-Man-Without-His-Paint an in to attack.

Unfortunately, they were only leaving dents in the both of them. Jane hid behind Bob like a coward while the latter shrugged off their attempts like they were nothing. The boy tensed up once he saw the robotic butler preparing to charge at them, atleast, that's what he assumed. Several of the flame barrels found a way to their side of the fight, and with a startled yelp from the boy, the Timekeeper and the Protector were knocked to the wall by the blasted things. He concidered himself lucky that their earlier melody kept the both of them from getting hurt, but the path ahead of them was now conciderably hazardous.

As if things hadn't escalated enough, reinforcments for the opposing team started to appear out of the woodwork. A note that they've stalled for too long. Even Billy and Tetrad were starting to act. More pyromancers appeared to harass the vaguard, some weird ghost thing rose up on the other side, and-

Oh god.

At the glimpse of the one he was most concerned about, Fable could feel his heart drop to his stomach. If he was being honest, he didn't expect Betty to appear until some point later. So to see the thralled violinist this early? He felt...relieved. A stressed, selfish sort of joy, but one none the less. And the only thing standing in his way was that damn robot that he didn't think they could take out so easily. The ghost would be a nussance too, but the rest can atleast bleed. He'd have to trust Klava's plan.

With a nod to the Maiden, he casted a speed boost on himself, sprinting up to and across the wall to avoid the firery debris. Once he neared Bob, he hopped off the wall and hopefully past the robot. If anyone would deal with Betty, it'd be him.

...It has to be.

Soon as the Huntress spoke up once again, Fable's facade dropped to an unamused glare. Partly cause he overheard Klava poking fun at him in the middle of her strategizing, but mostly cause there was no need to keep it up any longer. "So much for formalities." He uttered not-so quietly, sparing a quick glance to Protector, who had decided to back him up. "Was hoping to talk this out, but alas." He said, preparing to counterattack as Bob threw one of the liquor-filled kegs at the two. Okay, probably an easy breakable, Protector's shield should-

Unfortunately his speculations would prove true. Fable didn't have enough time to take cover before the Huntress fired at the keg, causing it to explode. "Ngh-!!" The boy himself recoiled in getting struck by the burning spirits. The magical flames may not have burned as bad as their normal counterparts,

But let's be honest, it still fucking hurts.

Taking refuge behind Protector's shield, the boy did his best to quickly put out the flames that ate through his jacket and burned his "skin". If he had to ditch it this early, then screw it. He can heal himself later. Though he was more worried about his teammate getting burned too. Atleast now they know why the Huntress and the Pyromancers were grouped up together. The bartender aesthetic for the latter might've been a dead ringer though. Speaking of.

Even if Fable could only focus on one half of the opposing team at a time, he did overhear the other woman (Must be the Bartenders' leader.) hurrying the other two out of not wanting to become thralls. So neither of them are controlled? Makes things slightly easier. Peeking out from behind cover, he waited till the keg Bob grabbed was closest to the robot, then quickly fired a lightning bolt at it. He hoped this could buy Klava some time to put her plan in action.

Then again. Wouldn't ignoring them only hinder Billy more?

Albedo @Lugubrious, Treat @Gentlemanvaultboy, Papyrus @Dark Cloud

At the sound of their companion catching up, Frisk slowed down enough to where they walked side by side with each other. The eerie nature of the doll-ridden pathway failed to phase the child, not when the possibility that their new friends could be dealing with something dangerous. No offence to Albedo, but they had a plan for a reason. Did it even matter at this point? They can do something about Treat's bullies later.

Through the irritance they tried to hide over the situation, they spared a remorseful frown to Papyrus. "I'll explain when I know everyone's safe, but for now..." That was all Frisk could say to him once they arrived back at the mansion. Their eyes shot open at the sight and sound of a panicked Treat. Oh crap, something did happen did it?! The child wouldn't have time to ask before the wolfgirl took a nasty tumble down.

"Eek?!" Swift as they could, Frisk caught her before she hit the ground. Treat flinched at the sight of Papyrus, to which they reassured her: "Easy, he's my friend!"

Then the poor girl told them about what happened. What they found, what Treat escaped from, what Linkle was holding off even now. Frisk's eyes refused to close at this point. Something like this was what they feared. Despite the child's hesitance, Treat attempted to reach the sled by herself, only to trip on a broken ankle. They looked between Treat and the sled, then ran to grab Linkle's weapons, ditching their stick in fair trade.

Now wasn't the time to be afraid.

Frisk looked over to where the two arrived. If Papyrus followed them, they were certain Albedo was behind them. "You're hurt." They told Treat as she was helped up, though they hope the other two hear them out as well. "One of us has to get you to a medic, or...something similar. I'll go on ahead and help Linkle." With their words, they made their way towards the shed. In anticipation of battle, the child's soul finally made an appearance, hovering a few inches from their chest.

Regardless of who follows them, Frisk would wait a bit on them before decending into the darkness. Determined as always.
