It's actually kind of annoying how easily franchises like Lost Planet can be spun off into PvE TPSs like EDF and HD2.

Thank goodness! For a second there I thought they were about to release a new Star Fox game.

It's hard to get the idea of a Lost Planet AU RP that incorporates elements straight out of Armored Core out of my head.

Why doesn't anyone come around here and IC-bait a Metal Slug RP? Sure they'll probably still bail like the rest, but at least the fans will enjoy that for a moment.

Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
@LiegeLord Cecilia gasped lightly in surprise as she felt Neric perch himself of her shoulder. Turning her head enough to meet the being shrouded in darkness, her eyes lit up. "Hello there Neric. I've never felt better," she answered, her elation clearly showing, though at the same time, she really didn't want to startle him by being too loud. "Come to enjoy the hike with everyone?" she playfully asked while her hand, of the arm he perched on, came over and began to delicately pet him across his wing and back. She had never handled a hawk or even a chicken for that matter, so she could only hope Neric enjoyed it at least a little. Cecilia also turned around to see James, an overjoyed expression on her face. She waved meekly at him, words failing her momentarily.
@1Hawkeyes@Vampy@LiegeLord She laughed along with Helena. Honestly, the idea of her having trouble swimming came as a surprise. Cecilia would have easily assumed that swimming would come easily to someone who could alter their physiology to that of aquatic creatures. Or maybe she meant swimming without the use of her power. "Yeah, I think I know what you mean," she said in reply to Valencia's comment about not liking the feeling of plants and such at the bottom of a lake. "I think the worst part would be not even seeing them there because the water's so murky," she thought aloud, at first not noticing that Valencia had turned her attention behind them. But upon hearing her begin to talk with someone, Cecilia then turned around as well, immediately noticing the creature of black void and red eyes who she instinctively identified as Neric taken the shape of a bird of prey. Cecilia resumed walking forward, but silently gave an affectionate smile, her hands together and over her chest. Way to go James... she thought.
@Noodles Up until now, even though Varen had a considerable reaction speed, the "gap" between him and the dagger user's attacks was already thinning by the time she switched with the initiate, his longer broadsword scoring an half inch deep hit on the redhead's armor covering the abdomen. Noticing the now active, nullifying penalty, the spearwielder jumped backward, continuing to do so as the PKer in the red hood advanced on him. "Hey buddy, take it easy. I didn't take you for the jealous type," he teased, his teeth clenching into a threatening smile throughout his counterattacks. "How about we both just talk things out, get to know each other..." he said, blocking a downward slice by abruptly rushing forward to meet the blade near the hilt with the shaft of his spear near the end, swinging said end over to deflect the sword and strike the swordsman in the side of the face. Varen then utilized the opportunity to attempt to force the bladed end of the spear across the boy's back while he's trying to regain his bearings. "But if that doesn't work, we could just pretend to like each other only when she's around - just like what girls do," he ended in an obnoxiously loud whisper, his hand at the side of his mouth. Varen made sure to try and keep track of the girl; she's keeping her distance for now, but she was definitely up to something
@1Hawkeyes@Vampy "Yeah, it is a really nice day today," Cecilia said in agreement, making sure to temporarily hold the lollipop in her hand while talking. "I haven't ever swum in a lake before, nothing that doesn't usually have a tarp or cover over it. I can't even imagine how cold it's going to be." She did truly enjoy swimming; it was just the likely scenario of her apprehensively perched by the water's edge, too scared to jump in, that she didn't look forward to.
@SoulEater Between Helena, Valencia, and the fascinating landscape that she endeavored to take in in the meantime, Cecilia wasn't able to notice Edmond behind her. He may potentially see her turn her head in wordless wonder at certain features of the forest, though such instances were less than common, as she was trying to pay attention to her friends.
Things have been pretty hectic on my end. I'm unsure if Jason's departure will affect this battle drastically, but I'll try to still get something out sometime tomorrow if possible.
When James appeared with, curiously enough, a second boy besides Aki whom she hadn't seen before, a warm smile came over Cecilia's face as she took a moment to turn her head towards the counselors before they began to lead the group on the tour. They seemed friendly; maybe James was making friends already. This was a welcome sight to be sure. Their agreement to go together did come to mind, but she knew how important it was for her to not get in the way of him and new experiences and people. Besides, it wasn't like this was the only chance they would have to explore the camp. Following, behind one of the counselors along with her two new friends, Cecilia finally unwrapped the lollipop that Valencia gave her, placing the hardened candy in her mouth, the rush of sugar tingling her tongue before the distinct flavor of cherry emerged.
@Pirouette Hey again. I'm fairly certain you haven't edited your post yet to say that Red decimated the back end of the centipede. I would be more than happy to edit my post after if you want. Everything I write is always open to change. I really should have said this earlier, but you're free to take out the monster if you want. I have an idea for another potential enemy for Marx to help deal with.
On the other hand, if you're bored already or aren't feeling like doing this anymore, that's fine. This is your RP after all, and if you're not happy with it, then it only makes sense that you'd want to move on. I'm sure you probably have other RPs that you'd enjoy more, anyway.
@1Hawkeyes@Vampy Cecilia didn't think it was that big a deal, but still appreciated Helena's efforts to reassure her. "Hey, thanks. That means a lot. But yeah, I don't know about heroes. But now that you mention it, I think I can almost picture you in a cool superhero costume," she jested. Cecilia's eyes widened at Valencia's offer of friendship. "Oh... y-yes. Yes I'd love to!" she cheerfully exclaimed, having momentarily forgotten about the still-wrapped lollipop in her hand. She may have been caught off guard at first, but knew for a fact that she really wanted to be friends with both of them, and do what she could to make their time in this camp special.
@Noodles Sorry if their obvious skills that I'm suppose to know, but I just want to be sure.
"Dark Sight" is like a skill that hides the user and may reduce damage taken for a time, right? I'm less familiar with "Slash of Silence". Could it be an attack that's harder to dodge? Sorry, but if you have anything you could tell me, I'd appreciate it.
