It's actually kind of annoying how easily franchises like Lost Planet can be spun off into PvE TPSs like EDF and HD2.

Thank goodness! For a second there I thought they were about to release a new Star Fox game.

It's hard to get the idea of a Lost Planet AU RP that incorporates elements straight out of Armored Core out of my head.

Why doesn't anyone come around here and IC-bait a Metal Slug RP? Sure they'll probably still bail like the rest, but at least the fans will enjoy that for a moment.

Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
@KatherinWinter That's good. Honestly, by now I was expecting the arrival of UnknownScarlet4's characters. Perhaps she is preoccupied with Pokemon Moon, which she got yesterday. Hard for me to say with certainty.
At any rate, I believe that lunch may be a good way to assemble everyone. I think it would make for a good "checkpoint". I'm unsure what you'd like to have: either some open air picnic tables or a full dining hall. I'd be fine with anything. But that's just my suggestion.
@The1Rolling1Boy@LiegeLord Now it was Cecilia who wasn't in the mood for games, having half a mind to say green and just keep saying no until at least Spirit gives up because... that would show her. Realistically however, she did need something to get her mind off things, so she began to scan the area for something. "Fine... I spy with my little eye... something with legs that can't walk." Cecilia knew the item offhand, but looked about casually, wondering of they'd be fooled despite how considerably easy she was making this. She hadn't ever played "eye spy" before, although she had heard enough to know how to play it. She always thought the basic clues were on the boring side.
@LiegeLord@The1Rolling1Boy "Two future lovers?" Cecilia faintly repeated to herself, her attention towards the trees, having anticipated a feature of the landscape as what Spirit would refer to. At first, she thought that maybe the young girl meant birds or something. As nothing readily stood out to her, Cecilia looked to Spirit, hoping for some kind of "tell" or something to go on. It was then that she realized what Spirit meant, this new awareness causing her to stagger a little in her step. "Spirit...! W-what are you talking about...!?" Cecilia blurted out, aghast. Flustered, she nervously looked away, subtly angry at Spirit. In her current state, it looked a lot like Spirit might just enjoy making people uncomfortable after all. Cecilia rested her arms together over her stomach, an unamused look on her rosy face as she sensed her own pulse quicken. Now didn't feel like the time nor the place.
@The1Rolling1Boy@LiegeLord Cecilia subtly glanced at James, wondering if he was as perplexed as her. In the end, she couldn't think of what to do except be as good a friend to Spirit as she reasonably could. Right now, that appeared to mean a game of eye spy. Cecilia smiled softly at her. "Sure, Spirit. I'll play with you," she said, not wanting to rope in James if he understandably wasn't in the mood for games. "Why don't you start?"
@Noodles "What's important is we're talking... (Angered Grunt)" Varen bantered before the implications of Willow's Dark Sight dawned on him, his potentially harmful spear thrusts not hitting their mark, providing no resistance to the advancing assailant, who would have definitely scored a fair hit on him if it wasn't for the timely arrival of an Iron Hog, which wasted no time in ramming down the PKer in training. After making sure to take the opportunity to give himself some distance between him and the his dagger-wielding attacker, he stole a second to "appreciate" the the new turn of events. "Whoa, that had to hurt..." He noted how the considerable distance between him and the rest of his party, easily attributed to him falling back throughout the fight, coupled with the arrival of the this new foe, meant that his current options were limited to say the least. Varen underestimated Willow's commitment to killing him, and before he knew it, she had already closed the gap, delivering a pair of good stabs to his upper body courtesy of her Double Stab skill. "(Guttural Growl) Still up for a fight, huh? Well... You got it! Varen staggered backward for a split second before aggressively lunging towards her to use his Spear Sweep skill, intending to catch her in its low swing and stun her temporarily.
@The1Rolling1Boy@LiegeLord Cecilia would actually feel physically ill as she listened to Spirit, though not to the point of it being easily perceptible. Cecilia would never dare say this and she enjoyed most of her time with Spirit: But it sounded less like Spirit would be sent to a camp of super-powered teenagers as apposed to perhaps an institution meant to assist her with her traumatic background. She could feel welcome, make a lot of friends and control her power, but from where Cecilia stood, that tragic event sounded like it was a big part of her life. What could she possibly do to even begin to help? Cecilia worriedly gazed at Spirit, now taken her human form. It felt as if she could only watch helplessly. Would anything good that might happen to Spirit in this place only pale in comparison to that horrid time in her life?
@The1Rolling1Boy This isn't some kind of complaint or anything, but I'm fairly certain James was only thinking about Spirit screaming before. If you'd like to keep the post as it is anyway, that's fine. I think I'll wait for LiegeLord to make a response, though. Keep up the good work.
@The1Rolling1Boy@LiegeLord "I'm afraid not," Cecilia answered, not so deep in thought as to ignore Spirit's question, brushing a bit of hair behind her ear. "My dad's the only family I've known for a long time. I don't mind it at all, but I have wondered what it would be like to have a brother or sister now and again." Cecilia would make sure they were all together throughout the walk, being sure to look to Spirit from time to time. It wasn't as though she thought Spirit would fall behind. In fact she was fairly certain that Spirit could outrun both of them quite easily. Cecilia was, however, overly worried about stepping where she shouldn't and getting in her way or worse. She accidentally stepped on a few heels in her time and only recently got reminded of the dangers of not paying attention, the memory of which resulted in a slight hint of embarrassment on her face.
@The1Rolling1Boy@LiegeLord Cecilia walked with the two of them, her arms behind her as she listened to James explain. It seemed like he and Neric are both two different individuals and yet quite inseparable at the same time. She pondered what a relationship like that must be like for a moment, though unsure about all that it would entail. She then looked to Spirit for a second; James mentioning her ability, for some reason, made Cecilia remember about the incident earlier with Helena, a somber expression on her face as she gazed ahead. She definitely owed her and perhaps Neric an apology when she gets the chance.
