John opened the door and muttered to the chain again. The chain broke apart and flew into the each of the others pockets. It was a strange move, but John felt it might be the different between life and death. A good luck charm so to speak.

Serena got out as Chas did and then waved her hand, sending a shadow into the car and said “protect the cab and call it if we need a fast get away…”

Drake was looking around, thinking and planning. “I think we should go in from above…”

Serena was guiding Chas and said “let’s park a few blocks down…out of sight. The more of a surprise we can get the better”

John looked at his girls then an odd idea struck. He pulled out some small chain from his pocket and muttered into his hand, the chains glowing gold for a moment then faded. Then he looked back and said “Fia, what can you tell us about what we are about to walk into?”

John nodded and moved to the cab, the others all climbing in and shutting the doors. Serena looked at Fia and asked “so…the ones who keep jumping your father and me…are they the same crew?”

John moved his hand to her cheek and said “I’m not dying love. But if it comes to a fight with papa…I’d rather it be me fighting him then your mum and Serena…”

Serena smiled and Drake helped her into the cab then looked at Kay and Chas. “We aren’t losing anyone today…”

John let Kay go ahead but he caught Fia’s hand and held her back a moment. “Love…if it looks like it’s going south, get Serena and your mother out. And bane. Don’t worry about me. Those three are the ones that have to get out with everything how it needs to be…alright?”

Drake was opening the door for Serena when she paused and rested a hand on his cheek. “I don’t know if you know…but your named after a man who gave his life to save mine…just don’t follow his steps exactly” Drake smiled and kissed her cheek. “We will get him back mom…I swear it”

Serena nodded and said “I’ve almost got it…his downtown…by the docks…” John shook his head smiling and said “I love seeing magic I haven’t seen before…reminds me of how bright and big the world really is…” he put an arm around Kay as Serena opened her eyes. “I got him.”

Drake swallowed and said “here we go…”

John smirked and said "I don't think we will need that. Serena? You should be able to track him" Serena nodded nad closed her eyes, the aura around her glowing the silver energy of her powers. John smirked watching the shadows come to her aid.
