It would be. But try as they might, Gold Scribes cannot make the sight-unseen effect permanent.

Then wouldn't people be opposed to having their minds modified, especially temporarily? That's a lot of control to be giving up.
<Snipped quote by Meta>

Basically. I mean, we cannot remember them either!

Wouldn't business be more lucrative if it were remembered?
<Snipped quote by Meta>

They cannot. Which is, in fact, what keeps people coming, because whatever those tastes were, they were good.

So... you guys have good experiences that we can't even remember?
<Snipped quote by Meta>

Gold Scribes use the Yellow Magic, which lets them expand the ability of one's mind to perceive theoretically limitless possibilities. Sun Scribes are the ones who actually come up with those possibilities.

Can they remember the taste after the effect wears off?
<Snipped quote by Meta>

We might work on that. That would be significantly more useful than the PR system. *we swoop into a larger street lined with large, fancy restaurants* We have some of the finest cooks in Existence here in Cepis, capable of producing perfect blends of food. Some of the very best cooks are teamed up with Gold Scribes in order to produce tastes that literally don't exist otherwise! Restaurant roads such as these can be found all over the city.

If they don't exist, then how can we taste them?
<Snipped quote by Meta>

Well, I suppose such a thing is doable.

It should be.
<Snipped quote by Meta>

To anywhere you liked?

Yeah?
<Snipped quote by Meta>

That's a Red Magic thing, and Tri-Rune teleportation requires considerable power. There is technology for it, but we only use it to teleport between cities. Installing teleportation units everywhere would be unfeasible.

I'm talking tech. What about portable teleportation machines?
<Snipped quote by Meta>

They did. We walked, and then we drove. And then we were driven. But that was boring.

Why not something like teleportation?
<Snipped quote by Meta>

It's fun! Much faster than walking, and more space, also.

It seems like things would develop the easiest way rather than the most fun way.
