I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

Finishing up a collab with @Frizan and @Chrononaut. I'm happy for it to be posted guys, unless you want to jump on and add something more. :)
Whoops. Well, this is awkward. 3 people wanting Gambit now? I guess I should read all of a roleplay before submitting something, rather than just the character tab and the OP, haha. Ah well - may the best Remy win!
@Gowi

Hey there! I've been stalking this page for a while now, dithering on whether or not I should make a character. I got him finished, so I figured I may as well go for it - the other character's look awesome, so I couldn't resist.

Remy Etienne LeBeau, 25 (b. 1943)

Vigilante - Louisiana, roaming.
Active since approximately Winter, 1967

Gambit's always been one of my favourite X-Men, and I've forever been cursing Marvel for their lack of decent movies including him. (X-Men Origins: I'm looking at you.) I do like a lot of his original story, so I'll be keeping certain parts of it. Abandoned at birth, taken in by thieves under the impression he's some sort of Thief Messiah, and then being banished from both the guilds and New Orleans after killing a member of a rival Assassin guild in self defence. Following this, Gambit travels the world, using his skills both as a mutant and a thief to get by. However, as the months pass, control over his kinetic powers becomes much harder, resulting in quite a few accidental injuries and damages. Employing the aid of Mr. Sinister, tissue is removed from Gambit's brain to crank his power level down, thus making it far easier to control.

Following the creation of the mercenary group "The Marauders" and the failed Morlock massacre led by Mr. Sinister, this is where I'll be altering Gambit's story. While saving one Morlock girl (Who later becomes Marrow, a member of the X-Men) and being seriously injured by Sabretooth, Gambit does not join the X-Men after this. Instead he cuts all ties from Mr. Sinister, and while more than aware that his debt is not paid, and the villain would still like to get his hands on him, seeing the Morlock massacre stunned Gambit far too much to be able to continue doing jobs like that. Instead he turned to his old life; stealing and performing mostly harmless heists in order to help others. With The Marauders, police and members of Guilds back in New Orleans still on the lookout for him, Gambit couldn't afford to have too high-flying a lifestyle. Instead most of what he stole went towards the needy on the streets; urchins and gangs of kids that reminded him of his own childhood, who didn't have the skill or nerve to steal for themselves. He also found himself drawn to the social issues going on around him. Being a mutant, Gambit knew of being judged simply for who he was. He found himself on the fringes of civil rights movements and pro-Black rallies, silently attempting to protect those who simply wanted freedom against their oppressors. He could understand that, even when those he helped began to fear him and his strange red eyes. His charitable robberies continued, money being donated to the marginalised groups of America, and the for the needy, bought clothes, food, and anything else they needed. While hardly a perfect man, Gambit always hated to see the innocent or weak suffer.

In recent weeks, news made it's way to Gambit of the Guild situation in New Orleans deteriorating once more. His ex-wife, the brilliant Bella Donna Boudreaux, leader of the Assassin's Guild, has vanished. While having never truly loved the woman as she had him, and having left her a long time ago, Gambit had no means to revisit his old home. But as rumours circled of Russian affiliations within the guilds, and the apparent resurrection of Julien Boudreaux, the brother of Bella Donna and the man responsible for his banishment, Gambit couldn't choose to stay away. He still had friends in New Orleans, and an all out war between the guilds would create more casualties than he was comfortable with. Gambit is now making his way to deep south, hoping to keep his head down and away from the several hits he has out on him.

As for how I'll write him ICly, I think I'll retain most of the Cajun's personality. He's a witty, charismatic charmer with an accent to die for and a penchant for lightening the mood, be it with sarcasm or just plain old jokes. Naturally, all character's have a more serious side, but I'll focusing more on the playfulness we saw a lot of in the X-Men cartoon series. (My God, I loved that show.) This isn't to say his personality is static however; dependant on plot arcs, Gambit may lose some of his cheerfulness.

For character arcs, I'm definitely not opposed to Gambit running into the X-Men, or even joining them; it depends on if people decide to pick up characters from the X-Men and how they're portrayed. I also think the future storylines that Gambit has with Rogue, Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse could prove incredibly interesting. Again, if others were to pick up those characters. Or, if the GM has anything in mind for good old En Sabah Nur and his four horsemen.

I'm open to past and future character relations with Gambit; he's bounced around the country quite a bit since leaving New Orleans, so he may have ran into your character's in the past. Message me if you'd care to discuss anything!

The sudden change back to normality - well, not entirely normal - but the sudden calmness was a touch disconcerting for Feri. She didn't buy that he was "okay", although appreciated that he was saying it out loud for a reason. Willing his body to realise that the nightmare wasn't real - and perhaps aiming to calm both Feri and Gideon down as well. Either way, she returned his smile, cheeks flushing under his touch and taking his hands, being pulled up as easily as a mother picking up her fallen babe.

"I slept alright. Had a strange dream about giant sheep, but it was nicer than yours by the sounds of it." Feri replied with a grin; concern still etched in her smile as her eyes searched Rannon's face carefully. While pleasant and more relaxed than before, there was a guarded look to his steely eyes; a certain tightness to his expression. The nightmare must have been frightfully vivid for him.

Breakfast didn't take long to make; a gloopy porridge that didn't do much for the taste buds, but it was warm and filling enough to keep all parties interested. Gideon especially seemed excited about it, bounding around the dying fire-place as he waited for all of the bowls to be filled. Then again, dogs got excited about a lot of things. Stirring her bowl thoughtfully, Feri looked to Rannon; the pair had dusted themselves off from the dirt on the ground, and looked about ready to set on the road again. Not before what Feri assumed was a well-needed chat with Rannon.

"I can't help but worry, you know." She began, thinking back to what he had said earlier. "I know we practically just met, but I can tell you're a good person. If you need to talk through stuff... well, we're stuck with each other until Redcliffe, so you may as well make the most of me." Chuckling lightly, part of her wondered what would happen at Redcliffe. She had no real plans - head to the coast, look for her father? Or to Denerim, to see if any had made it there from Lothering? While both fair plans, she knew what she really wanted to do; go with Rannon, and help bring Loghain to justice. It was what he deserved, and Feri had known people who probably perished at Ostagar, good people who would never see their family again. "Hopefully Rannon wouldn't mind more of my company." She pondered to herself as an afterthought.

You caught me just as ᴠᴀʟᴋʏʀɪᴇ was sending me on a mission! I've been looking forward to getting one all week, but since it's for you... (๑•̀ㅁ•́๑)✧

I will do my best to breakaway and assist ᴇᴀ𝚜ᴛᴡᴏᴏᴅ. The world would be a darker place without his cowboy cosplay. This one's on the house if I manage to get there in time to be of assistance, although you could buy me a drink next time I'm in town~

I hope we meet again sooner rather than later, S. And be careful. I don't like the group you're running with.

The light "ping" sound of a new message drew Sombra's survey of the many screens in front of her, puzzled glare being replaced with a smirk at Genji's reply. First of all, she still had no idea what that word meant. Translation online was a shaky thing to trust to start with, so she was pretty sure he didn't mean to call her "a wife". Or, at the very least, that wasn't the real translation of the word - either way, she doubted Genji fully understood her own nickname for him, so she was happy to be in the dark about it. A snort of laughter escaped from her at the rest of the first sentence. Sombra knew quite a bit about the prestigious Dr. Ziegler; about both of them, actually. She was more than aware that Mercy wasn't as "holier-than-thou" and innocent as she pretended to be, and as for her much darker cousin, Sombra was sure there were even more skeletons in his closet. Although having only just come back, and flying under the UN's radar, Sombra actually found herself to be disappointed at the lack of activity from Overwatch. Nothing like what they were before; she remembered hearing the stories as a kid, and was expecting something more. Perhaps it was their lack of a competent leader? Or maybe just because the majority of the old ones hadn't answered the call, from what she knew of from her contacts?

TO: Conejo
Oh, refusing to do the Angel's chores for little old me? You'll get a slapped wrist for that one. I guess I'll have to buy you several drinks if all goes well - not that I mind. You've always been a fun drinking partner; you last longer than the cowboy at least.
I'll keep you posted on McCree's status. Try not to get shot, okay? You're no good to me full of bullet holes.

-S

Sombra purposefully ignored his comment about her own safety, a gentler smile adorning her face as she read the message over again. She'd never pegged Genji as a worrier, but in her opinion, it was sweetly misplaced in this situation. Talon had about a handful of competently active agents at the moment, so she had no concerns at where she was. Reyes was too busy building up some kind of evil master-plan to even pay attention to her possible disloyalty; not that she'd made it obvious, that was. She did as she was told, as long as it benefited her in some way. In this instance, however... no matter what Sombra told herself, it wasn't all about power. McCree was fun, and would be no use to anyone dead. Besides, the last thing she wanted was for some two-bit merc to get their hands on that amount of money for killing an amigo of hers. They didn't deserve such a hunting prize; and the aid she'd just called in would make sure they realised that. Carson City was going to be even more of a bloodbath now.

"Wait..." The muttered word left her lips suddenly as she leaned forwards, staring intensely at one of her screens. Maximising and enhancing the page, she watched the small, 10 second CCTV clip on a loop as she peered at one specific corner. The footage was grainy, and with the endless flashes of gun muzzles and dust kicked up into the air, it was almost, almost impossible to see anything. But there, taking down one of the mercs. A flash of white hair, a battered jacket, and a very familiar visor. The blurred image of a "76" on the gunman's back was clear for only a moment before a ricocheted bullet hit the camera, knocking out it's feed. But Sombra didn't have to see anymore than that. That was Soldier: 76, a vigilante who had taken to the streets some years back; and to a select few, better known as...

"Jack Morrison." Sombra whispered, a wicked, yet almost child-like grin appearing on her face. "Ohoho! Things just got twice as interesting now!" Settling back into her chair, she sent off her message to Genji with a laugh, deciding not to tell him about the old Overwatch leader being present. Perhaps it would make for a pleasant surprise for him.
@Tangletail

There is a Drabarian there, another new recruit. Kayden - the Captain - is human, alongside another human Allard stood with him. Also with them is Lis, a female half-dwarf.
@BCTheEntity

*narrator voice*
Will Lis and Nuva join forces to fight the evil troll? Or will the pair turn against each other on the battlefield?! Find out next week, in Heroes of Fame and Fortune! XD
@Leidenschaft@BurningCold@Leos Klien

I know some of you have a post in the works, but I'm going to need it done in the next few days, preferably before Sunday so I can post for Naenya and get things moving along. I think we've tarried in this dreaded realm too long, and our friends on the outside must be itching to join us! :)
@Tangletail

I think you may have made a typo in your most recent post?

"No… probably what set that off was walking in just when a short stock dwarf, whom he could only assume the captain, had openly announced that his intention was to kill a thief"

Unless I'm mis-reading, you see to have mistaken Kayden for a dwarf, when he's a human. :)
