Kijani walked the campus in a haze, barely aware of her surroundings, but only knowing that she needed to get to her room. There was so much to do. She needed to pack her things, she needed to make some calls and send some emails. So much to do, to make everything right. She got to her room and started to put things away. Books were boxed, clothes folded and stored. She made calls to a few stores, lucky that she'd opted to keep that handy little delivery drone in her payment schedule. It seemed to take forever, but then, it could have taken mere minutes. By the time Kijani was done, her room was spotlessly clean, and her sheets stripped from the bed. When everything was set and perfect, so that whoever came next could take this room without incident, Kijani sat at her computer and began to write.
I enjoy using Kagerou to sas Bruce. It's fun.
There's a very short list of people who can pull that off.
Kijani rinsed her mouth out at the bathroom sink, trying to get rid of the sour flavor of her breakfast's repeat appearance. She felt empty and hollow, and it had nothing to do with her suddenly vacant stomach. Ben was dead and it was her fault. Everything that had happened that night, it was all her fault. What could she do now? As if it was coming from a tunnel, she heard the announcement that the lockdown was over. The sound of bulletproof doors and thick glass sliding back into hiding echoed around the building, and she could hear the distant chattering of relieved students. Kijani wiped her sweaty forehead and face with some paper towels, and then headed for the door. She swung it open, and nearly ran into Connor. "..." She met his eyes for a brief, panicked second, and then she lowered her head and started to move past him. "I have to lie down." Her plans had changed. She had to pack.
*tries to think* It's funny how things work out. I was searching so hard for just the right touch, and it was provided for me by someone else. *goes to post*
Ah. Hm... I guess I'll put her in the gym with the others.
Pretty much. I have no idea where I left Devika.
Estella chuckled nervously, an actual audible chuckle. The sound surprised her and she stopped suddenly. "That's new. I don't remember being able to do that. Coming back to school so far had been the most normal thing to happen. Actually maybe they could answer a few things that Jack didn't want to talk about. "Can you tell me anything about Ben. Jack seems hesitant to talk about him."
Kijani spoke softly, not even having the energy to wonder how Estella was speaking out loud, and laughing even. "Ben is smart. Quite skilled, and not afraid to ignore the rules when they're unsuitable. He will be something, someday." She paused, her mind suddenly on a different tack. "...I feel as if I haven't seen him in a while. Where could he have got to?" The last she'd heard of Ben was the night they had all assaulted Lexcorp, and- She tried to push the sudden wash of fear away, tried to banish the stink of bleach and blood from her nose. Still, she felt the cold sweat breaking onto her skin. Ben was dead, wasn't he? Otherwise there should have been something. Some word, some news... Another person she'd ruined with her weakness. "He was... an ally." Her throat was closing up. "Excuse me. Bathroom." She got up, her face looking suddenly waxen, and she made her way toward the girl's locker rooms. It was close, and she barely made it to a stall before she started to vomit.
I feel like I'm missing something major.

Connor sighed and nodded, looking to the doors, he contemplating them for a few moments, silent. "I could probably get through the security, get us out of here" he said softly, still studying the door. "Shouldn't be too hard, with my phone"
Kijani smiled wanly. "I won't make you go through the trouble. Honestly, all I want is to be by myself right now." Her energy was waning rapidly. Without something to do- class to focus on, a fight to win, something to learn- she was left with her own mind, which kept spinning and repeating the same words to her. When Estella spoke to her, she responded without thinking. "Hello." That was unusual in itself- she'd always hated Estella, not trusting the telepath for a moment.
