Anyway, Kassy is expecting to be ignored, not really because she thinks anyone is mean or anything, but... well, she kinda grew up ignored. >_< Poor dear hasn't learned to socialize.

Also, does anyone have an issue with Jean Gray teaching the course for young psychics? If anyone's got a better idea, let me know. Charles Xavier is kinda helping run the school, so she's the first telepath I thought of.
Jin was about to tear herself free of her sister's grip, when suddenly the teacher was in front of them. She scowled at Naka, feeling her temper rise again. "See, Naka?! Dammit, you've really got to think more before you decide to trust people! Of course that wasn't a nurse, what were you thinking!" She could feel her face going red. "You could have really messed things up. I would have fought to protect you, but... really." Inwardly, she was breathing deep, trying to calm herself before she said something she didn't actually mean.

"...Come on. I'll walk you to your next class, okay?" She tried to pat her sister's shoulder in an encouraging way. Of course, she was still a bit upset, but yelling about it would probably mess things up. She'd gotten in trouble more than a few times for speaking without thinking.

Kijani watched Connor ease another student's fears, and he gave her a little look over his shoulder. She flashed him a wink, proud of him. It was strange - she'd never consider herself a follower, but she would easily follow this Connor's commands. This was going to be an interesting year, indeed. "Connor, I'm gonna head to my next class." She stepped forward, giving a little wave of greeting to a student who still looked rather panicked, and she gently kissed Connor on the cheek. "We can reunite properly later, ok?" She grabbed her things, swinging her sword around her back before heading out.

--

Kassy smiled, trying not to show her teeth. "You're welcome." The other students seemed to be coming out from under the illusion, which was good. She felt a little odd already, having just helped one. It didn't help matters that his mind was odd - even without much of a push, she could tell he was very compartmentalized. Almost literally, she could have sworn she sensed... boxes. No matter, though. Everything seemed to be approaching calm. "Erm... Does anyone know where the "Psychics and Mentalists 102 classroom is?" She felt nervous just speaking up, and was sort of expecting to just be ignored.
@DFTBA That's a good question. I didn't even consider that...
Griffin growled annoyed. Someone, he thought it was Connor but it was hard to be sure in the dark, said that the darkness was an illusion. Apparently that was enough for some of the others to break free but not enough for him. The darkness lessened but didn't disappear completely. He heard Kassy say she could help. He used his sense of smell and hearing to find the girl. Once he found her he growled. "Help us get ride of this illusions."

Kassy nodded quietly, and tried to give an encouraging smile to the furry boy who had just showed up in front of her. "Alright. I'm sorry in advance for this." She brought up her hands to cup his face. Griffin would probably realize that Kassy's hands, while soft, were rather cold and clammy, almost slick. Kassy exhaled slow, and nudged her way into his mind, pushing the illusion that the room was bright. She didn't look through his psyche or dig at all. She simply told his mind that there was light, and she felt the presence, the other illusion, start to loosen. Once she was certain it was gone, she let her own illusion free. "There, you should be able to see."
Emily Nakajima

When the darkness engulfed them all in the room, Nakajima didn't feel scared or startled as everyone else in the darkness, she felt odd, more at ease and comfortable not being seen or noticed in this vast cloud of darkness. She almost felt at home till she heard a familiar voice swear, it was Jin like the others the darkness surprised her, the ninja held her sister's reaching hand trying to give her some comfort in her moment of fear." You should do your best to not swear so often." Emily spoke in a calm tone." Father would be angry knowing you have a potty mouth."

She noticed that her sister's cellphone light wasn't helping with the situation and Naka just put a hand on her little sister's shoulder." Jin don't feel afraid of the dark, there's nothing to be afraid of." She attempted to calm her sister. Suddenly a voice from the darkness said that the darkness was only an illusion, hearing that Naka began to tense up a little hearing that the darkness she was just a mere illusion, out of the darkness another girl's voice spoke up taking about helping people see through the illusion, but before Nakajima could ask the girl to help her sister, Nakajima felt someone else's presence in front of her, and a mature woman's voice spoke to her saying she could help her out of the darkness." Only if you help my sister as well, I wouldn't want her to be scared in the darkness forever." She held out her other hand willing to take the mature woman's hand.

"I am not scared, dam- erm... darnit." Jin had to give her sister a win on that part at least. She cussed like a sailor when she was upset, so the fact that she was unsettled was obvious. Emily was also correct in thinking that her behavior would upset their father. He'd be disappointed to see her panic over something as unobtrusive as darkness. "I'm not afraid of the dark. Haven't been for years." Her sister's warm hand found her shoulder, and she lifted a hand to squeeze back. "I'm okay now, Naka-chan, I just-"

Before Jin could finish speaking, someone started speaking in front of them. Immediately her hackles were up. It may have been dark, but she could still hear fine. This woman hadn't made any sound in her approach. The door hadn't opened, there were no footsteps - nothing. "I'm sorry, who are you?" She didn't put her hand out, and actually reached out to pull Naka's away from the stranger. This could easily be an enemy, but could also be a teacher. Being polite and wary wouldn't hurt.
Aw... that sucks. -_- I still need to post, but I hope Crimmy is back soon
@KatherinWinter I was planning on making her late too, but I had to improvise. Caits mentioned Mimic using Kassy's power, and I didn't want to make her rewrite the entire post. So I just said that Kassy turned up and sat without really addressing anyone. She's dealing with more than a little culture shock, so I figured she'd not quite have the courage to talk to anyone.
@KatherinWinter Yes, Kassy's in the classroom. I introduced her there in an earlier post, but she hasn't really spoken to anyone yet. (She's shy.)
Post has been written. I didn't tag anyone, but Kassy should be audible to everyone in the room.
Jin Ifriti

Jin was about to respond to her sister, when everything went dark and she heard a strange voice. "Oh, holy hell, what's all this shit?!" She could practically hear her father admonishing her for swearing. But it had been so sudden that she couldn't help herself. "Naka, are you okay?" She reached out for her sister's hand. Part of her wasn't sure that this wasn't some kind of test on the school's part. "Hang on, let me see if I can't get some light in here-" She dug around for her bag and pulled out her cell, turning on the flashlight app. However, it didn't seem to be working. The phone's light was turned to maximum brightness, but she couldn't see it at all. "Ehh? That's weird. The phone's on, but the light's broken." Could something have ruined her phone that fast?

Kijani Ryane

Kijani rolled her eyes when the chaos started. One day. Just one day of peace, and some quality snuggle time with Connor. Was that such a tall order? She had to admit that it was a little nerve wracking, but seeing Connor calm and unshaken made her feel better almost immediately. He was taking charge of the situation. That was new- and she had to admit, she rather liked the idea of Connor as a leader. "Just an illusion, hm?" Kijani shut her eyes, trying to will up a few mental shielding exercises she'd been taught. Her grandmother was nothing if not thorough... though thanking Amanda Waller for anything made Kijani feel like she could vomit. Even so, she immediately started to recite poetry in her head, filling her mind and trying to block out whatever was invading it.

Kassandra Keigwan

Kassy had to admit, she wasn't expecting anything like this at all. On the first day, some kind of attack? Then again, wouldn't it make sense to take advantage of the new students who would already be confused? She was one of them, after all. She could hear someone laughing, but she didn't understand why everyone seemed to be panicking. It was as if they were all blinded. But she could see just fine... Kassy blinked a few times, suddenly understanding. Before she could speak, someone else did. A boy was confirming that it was all just an illusion. That made sense - being an illusionist herself, it was a lot harder to trick her. Kassy nervously cleared her throat and spoke up. "If anyone needs help, let me know! I've got illusions of my own - this trick isn't fooling me and I can see fine!" It wouldn't be too hard to break someone else's magic, would it?
