Everything was happening so fast. One second she was preparing for battle in her mind, but relaxed in relief at seeing Han and Chewbacca. "Thank goodness! I don't know what he said to convince you, but-" She didn't even get to finish that sentence before they were being shot at, again, and her father was separated from her once more.

There was no time to argue. She figured back a few shots to delay the Stormtroopers on their backs, and started to run herself. "I would really love to not be in this place!" Now, where was the ship, anyway? She was all turned around. "Not be in this armor, not be being shot at, all of it! Can't a princess get a little peace?" It was rare for her to complain so vocally, but wading in garbage water had pushed her over some type of edge. What she really wanted was to go home. But there wasn't that anymore. No, no there wasn't even time to think about that fact.

So instead of thinking, she ran and shot and ran some more.
It doesn't. I just have trouble imagining places in my mind sometimes, so I get confused. Sorry!
Hmm. I kinda want to keep my post. Devika may have heard voices but she's still in the dark.
It was a small apartment. Between her empathy and her ears, it didn't take too long for Devika to notice the voices coming from the bathroom. Unfortunately (or luckily, depending on your point of view), she couldn't make out what was said.

Oh well. If they were going to have a guest, she might as well make something. Leaving Roxy and whoever it was in the bathroom, she went to the kitchen and started putting together snacks. Sliced apples with a little bowl of peanut butter to dip them in. It didn't take very long, so she went back to her room to update her blog.

Much to her surprise, her writing was gaining some traction on the internet. It seemed people were actually interested in the lives of empaths, considered rather mysterious. Devika did her best to explain how her power functioned, and her day to day struggles and triumphs. It was also a good way to keep record of her progress. A few other empaths from around the country even chimed in within the comment section, offering tips and support. All in all, it was going well.
Oh, okay. That makes more sense. I guess I misread the post. I was about to say; I have so many colored pencils that my apartment is a powder keg if they're explosive.
Jinny waited patiently until Slade returned. Once he did, she looked at the colored pencils with something akin to awe. “Ooh! Those are pretty.”

She took care on choosing her colors, before snagging a piece of paper and starting to draw. It was clear she was struggling with manipulating the colored pencils. Her hands were small and honestly, still learning to coordinate. But she wasn’t deterred. As she drew, she asked questions.

“I think I am ready to go shopping. Can we go shopping later? I have a lot of stuff I want.” She paused, ducking her head slightly. “If that’s okay. Sometimes I don’t get everything I want. Or at least that’s what Okaa-san says.”

She continued to draw, something taking shape on the paper. “Am I allowed to make this room pink? It’s nice how it is, but I really like pink. And purple too! They’re pretty colors.” She paused, looking up at him with the tiniest of smiles. “I know you’re a boy and boys aren’t supposed to like pink. But it would just be this room.”

Her drawing was almost finished, it seemed. “Also, can we eat lunch? I’m really, really, really hungry.” Her stomach rumbled as if in agreement. Her eyes brightened briefly. “Can we have cheeseburgers? I like kid’s meal cheeseburgers.”

“There!” Her chatting and her picture done, she held it up triumphantly. It was four figures, drawn in a child’s simple hand. One was her, judging by the size of the figure and the black hair. Two were her parents – if the coloring didn’t give it away, the yellow halos above their heads would. The last seemed to be Slade himself, and she had remembered the eyepatch and given him an orange shirt. Everyone was smiling and holding hands.

She gently placed it on Slade’s lap. “That’s for you!” She smiled warmly. “That’s Okaa-san and Daddy in heaven, and me, and you!”
Kijani splashed down into the refuse just in time to see Adam and her father shaking hands. That was good. It would help matters immensely if they got along well.

“Alright...” She started to look around, striding through the dank, dirty water in her Stormtrooper uniform. The boots must have been waterproof, because she didn’t feel a thing. Lucky. “There’s got to be a way out of here.”

She consulted the map they had printed off, despite it being slightly soggy, and started pacing through the water. She spoke while she searched. More garbage poured in while she did so.

“Father, it’s amazing to see you alive and well. I have a thousand questions, but those are going to have to wait until we’re safe. I would hug you, but I feel rather disgusting right now. Plus I doubt you would appreciate the uniform.”

A careful inspection of a side wall revealed an emergency stop button. “I suppose this is our exit strategy. We press this, I guess it will stop things. Maybe this is a failsafe just in case anyone fell in here accidentally. Lucky the Empire thought of it.”

Her hand hovered above the button.

“Everyone ready?”
...can... can you really make colored pencils explode?
I'm good on posting, please proceed.
@Master Crim I think I missed a post. I'll check after work and see if I need to get something in.
