Kassandra’s anxiety over the mission had mostly given over to excitement by the time the jet landed. Doing Ja’s hair had helped, oddly enough. Her hands were as gentle as she could make them, and she was rather amused by his squirming as she braided his hair into neat rows down his scalp. She also ate the sandwich that Daphne had thoughtfully packed. Then she had slept the best she could (she missed her water bed), and then sat and meditated for the rest of the trip. Once they landed, she was ready.

After climbing off the ship and listening to Talon’s short speech, she started gently walking back and forth in the snow. The snow crunched under her brand new snow boots. She let her illusions loose to mask the sound. It took a few more minutes of stepping around before her sound was completely silenced. Snow was interesting. She sort of wanted to play in it, but she was too focused on the mission to stop.

She trailed after the others a bit, before Zatara called in mentioning guards. Now was her time to shine.

“Mirage to Squad A. I could scout ahead a little bit more if you want? I’ve got the snow silenced, and I’m ready.”
lol I have no idea what to post now.
"Very well." Devika said softly. She could tell Roxy was already irritated. And she was right - it wasn't really anyone's fault. It wasn't Roxy's fault that her parents sucked, and it wasn't Devika's fault that her parents were close. It was just a matter of circumstances.

"But know that I'd never actually leave you behind. You know me. I'll be an annoying pain in the ass forever." She grinned widely, and then exited the bathroom. Heading back to the table, she realized her parents were amid a lively debate with a harried looking server.

"If you consider the facts-"

"But you can't forget about the human factor, and-"

"Please. I just wanted to know if you needed more side dishes."

Devika gently tapped the server's shoulder. "We don't need any. Run now while they're distracted. Sorry about them." She sat back down as the server fled the table.
Got it. I'll try to drum something up.
Hey, is Roxy genuinely angry here? I'm trying to extract her tone from the words but I don't know if she's just a little irritated or full mad.
There we go.

Jinayah smiled, and it was different than the polite noble grin that she’d been wearing for the whole party. “Yes, as if the marriage was not connection enough. Fathers… aren’t they interesting folk?” She chuckled, her laugh soft and husky.

“I just remembered something.” She had read dossiers put together about the visiting princes. “You’re the youngest of three. Just like me!” There was a mischievous glint of excitement in her eyes. “Isn’t it wonderful? The oldest has the responsibilities of an heir, the second is well trained just in case the first does not work out. But us? Extra and free.”

That smile remained, but it faded somewhat. “At least we were.” The glitter in her eyes died out.

Then it became even more dark as Father called for Mirabella. She took a look around the party the best she could, but didn’t see her. That was strange, and a twist of worry hit her stomach. When Bella was not found within a few minutes, she felt anxiety creep down her spine. That just got worse when she saw guards leaving.

“If you’ll excuse me.”

She rushed to her father’s side. “Father, send me out with the guards. You know I can hunt and track with the best. This is exactly the type of thing you need me for. Please.”
Posting is going to take a bit longer, I'm afraid. I just started an internship and its taking most of my brain energy.
I appreciate that, guys.
