Anemia sucks. I feel like there's an invisible vampire sucking my energy through a straw.

I still want to continue.

WOOHOO!! Me too. :D

Looking at all the players, it appears a few have left the site altogether. One has definitely quit. We've been waiting for people to post who are not going to post -- so let us reassess our resources and go from there. Because we haven't even got into the city yet.

Also, this is being reopened. There may be new players interested.

Pinging everyone:

Edit: Ok, you know what? I'm gonna post. THAT'S RIGHT!

Perhaps not.

It seems if we are to move on, it will be severely depleted in players. Shall we?
@NorthernGR and I are working on the next mod posts as we speak. If there are any acts yet to be performed, do so quickly!
@Monotonous@Trevor1001

Electric-potato and Foxboy are approved! :3

Living arrangements are a good question. Tent is a good idea. We'll run with the idea of "bigger on the inside" for most unexplainable ways we move unseen from one place to another. Especially there are lions and tigers and elephants somehow traversing New York City with no one noticing.

THEY'RE IN THE SEWERS!

I'm a little insane tonight, just fyi.

But I do plan to post soon. Anyone who has not posted by the time I post can post after me. :D
I dunno, Ealdwine's a tough bastard!

But in any case -- unless anyone here has any objections or suggestions, I'm thinking we should just Old Yeller this RP and put it out of its undead misery. ^^;

It's been a riot, you guys. Cheers!

If any of you are interested in tagging along with me in another game, we'd love to have you!

  • Lantern has been running for a long while, but its setup allows new players to join easily at any time without having to read. :)
  • STONES has just gotten into the story after a slow start -- if you wanna jump in I'll fill you in on the details.
  • The Circus Underground is just getting started and more players are still making character sheets. Promises to be epic, especially since @NorthernGR (aka our very own Dirion!) is co-modding.
  • Chroniker is in the development stages: this is an interest check!

I'll see you guys on the boards! Thanks for an awesome game! I've never had the pleasure of destroying a tavern before, and doubt I will again. xD

Yay thank you! <3 I absolutely adore this rp in every way. You guys rock, your characters are epic, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
It came about sorta like this:

A certain Drow decided to attack a certain Bard, who would have none of it. Said Drow and Bard commenced attempting to kill each other, while both players were hesitant to actually go for the kill. Meanwhile the other characters sought to break up the fight, also holding back to avoid actually hurting other player-characters. Because of this indecisiveness, the RP was at a stalemate.

Therefore, the Salvagers were introduced in order to give the PCs something they could whack guiltlessly and to their hearts' content. And they did. And destroyed the tavern in the process. Things would never go back to the happy-go-lucky social evening it had been, so a vote was cast to continue on as an adventure. Thus, zombies.

...oh, I guess that was a hypothetical question. XD
@MarsAdept Thank you!! x3 It would be a pleasure to have you.

@mindpalace Excellent to see you again! :D I'm honored for the double interest. *bows*

@Eschatologist Hi there! Wonderful! (but not too much hype, I can only handle so many, sshhh) ;)

@Zealous Blade ZEALOUS!! YOU LIVE!! I would be absolutely stoked if you joined in. Also, you're welcome to come back to Lantern anytime. There's some epicness going down, and your character is far from dead.

This is just your average world-hopping, find-the-dingus RP. You're strangers in a strange land, transported by chance, with no way out but forward. In order to leave this place and go on to the next world, you must find and retrieve a gemstone that will fuel the Chroniker device, your only means of finding home.

Your Character

Characters should be originals only. They may be from Earth's present, past or future; or from any original, non-fandom world of your choosing. They may be of any race, with any ability and any background you can imagine. Some things to consider:

  • Worldbuilding is encouraged where it directly explains aspects of a character, but try not to go overboard. Most worldbuilding will probably not be used in the RP.
  • There will be moderate opportunity for battle, but exploration, curiosity, puzzles, mystery, stealth, logic and moral dilemmas will be at the forefront. That is to say, no matter how much or how little power or skill a character has, all are equal as long as they make an effort.
  • Characters' actions will lead the story. In this RP, the GM will follow your lead. There is no linear plot. If your character does not act, or waits idly for something to happen to him, nothing at all will happen and this RP will die. I'm trusting you to be proactive and to know what your character wants.

The Chroniker Device and Vanishing Stones

Chroniker: A clunky steampunky gadget that can be worn on the wrist, that has a slot for a Vanishing Stone. It displays a compass that always points toward the Vanishing Stone. When a Vanishing Stone is inserted and the turnkey is wound, the wearer and anyone touching the Chroniker is transported to a random world. The Vanishing Stone is left behind.

Vanishing Stone: A rough-edged gem the size of a coin, with what appears to be a view of the night sky glittering inside it. When a person touches the stone, they are transported to the world where the Chroniker is located. There is only one Vanishing Stone in each world, and each Vanishing Stone is bound indefinitely to its respective world.
