Personal Style: Jaina's personal style isn't very typical for a bounty hunter. Most of them wish to conceal themselves, to get in and get out. Jaina goes with the basic flexible and movable material, but with her love of intense and bright colors, she decorates it with little pieces of strap, all sewn into the corset-like chest piece. She enjoys dressing like something a jolly rancher may puke up.
As for her hair, Jaina either has it down in curls, or up in some new sort of fashion. For combat, she normally braids it into pigtails. Despite being a bit insane, even Jaina hates getting her hair pulled. She loves to do dramatic makeup, usually trying something new each day. Of course, the colors all have to work together to create her bright rainbow of happiness.

Personality: Initially, Jaina was a quiet and sweet young girl, always seeing the best in everyone and trying her very best. She could never hurt a fly. If you went into a dictionary and looked up the definition of Happy Go Lucky, Jaina's picture would have been the only definition needed. Of course, this was largely due to the relatively sheltered life she had lived. Until her force sensitive brother began experimenting with her head, of course. This slowly but surely drove Jaina insane, to the extent that she always seems like this little cupcake of sunshine, rainbows, and happiness. Hardly anything could bring her down.
Of course, her psychosis manifests itself in other ways. Jaina lacks understanding of several concepts, the most concerning being life and death. It's a miracle she grasps the notion of object permanence still. To her, there's hardly anything to be afraid of in the world. Death is all an illusion, just something that others stress out about. Even when witnessing death or killing someone herself, Jaina is as unfazed as can be. There's a gigantic disconnect in her brain. This causes her to be fearless and confident, but also rash, reckless, and stupid. She's like a gambler, only she's betting her own life with each and every decision she makes.

The Reason You Chose The Side You Did: Jaina didn't neccessarily choose a side, but she didn't protest when one was selected for her. She grew up in a family that supported the Empire, with her siblings laying down their lives for it in service. Her twin brother was an Emperor's Hand. If anything, she lived in a house filled with Imperial propaganda. After her brother pulled some strings to get her out of the asylum, it was easiest for him to simply insert her into the Imperial war machine with her skills. It'd allow him to keep an eye on her. And given that Jaina doesn't really care about the Empire-Republic conflict, she hardly protested.
History: Jaina was the youngest child of the Sarbye family, with several older siblings, as well as a twin brother, Jacen. Growing up on Courscant, their parents tended to support the Empire, with Jacen and Jaina's older siblings all eventually joining the Imperial forces in one way or another. The twins enjoyed a relative life of luxury, until stormtroopers arrived at their home. Jacen was force sensitive and would be trained as an Emperor's Hand. Due to the relative influence of the family, Jacen would be able to remain and live at home, being trained during the workday.
It was then that Jaina's life took a sharp turn for the worst. Her brother, fascinated by the abilities he was learning to control, used his twin sister as practice. He had a particular interest in seeing if he could
cure her of her mundane-ness, and trigger powers in her as well. It never succeeded, as she wasn't force sensitive. Instead, the repeated delving into her mind caused Jaina to lose her grip on reality. By the time their parents realized what Jacen did to Jaina, it was far too late. The shy girl became twisted, losing a grip on the notion of life and death. They became just words to her. She never seemed to grow upset or angry anymore, constantly laughing and smiling, giving Jaina the name
the Joker.Of course, craziness doesn't contain itself easily. She left the house eventually, heading for the capital city, for reasons even Jaina didn't understand. While there, Jaina managed to get a slight grip on her sanity -- but even then, it wasn't much. Getting caught at the wrong place at the wrong time, Jaina eventually found that her specific skill set had certain uses. For a variety of reasons that changed with her each and every whim, she ended up working as a Bounty Hunter, finding undesirables in society. Her career only furthered her dementia, culminating in her arrest when she hijacked and crashed a transport shuttle in order to get her mark. Due to her family's wealth, she had a top notch attorney, and was sent to an asylum.
Her brother completed his training as an Emperor's Hand, and perhaps out of pity, managed to retrieve Jaina from the asylum. He fixed her up with a position within the Empire, working as a Bounty Hunter once more. Jaina's lack of fear and understanding made her an asset in terms of keeping things secret, as well as tracking down some of the more nefarious targets. However, each week Jaina must attend a session with a doctor, otherwise, she'll be sent back to the asylum. It's the deal Jacen had to make to get her out of there.
