OOC NPC listing updated.

Also, I'm curious -- what do you guys think of the RP so far? :) Better or worse than Abandoned Hope? Anything you guy'd like to see, characters you want to return?
@Lady Amalthea Done, thank you! ^_^
@Lady Amalthea May I have permission to swap out the images in Virginia's CS? I found gifs of her faceclaim that fit better/are more time period appropriate.

Jack Hudson

Location: The Rec Center (Building 7)

Jack shook his head. He had been racking his brains trying to think of what Tatiana had to run off to get, but he honestly was drawing a blank. He figured it wasn't a wedding present--and if it was, he'd need to run off real quick and grab hers. He had kept it safe, intending to give it to her after the wedding. Wedding dresses didn't quite have pockets and he didn't want her to have to lug it around.

"A dynasty?" Jack chuckled. He had thought every now and then about starting a family with Tatiana, but the dangers always seemed too big. This world was filled with death and destruction, even if there were moments of happiness. He couldn't justify to himself bringing a child into it. All that child would know would be the world of Newnan, a world filled with horrors and nightmares. That wasn't a place for a kid.

He felt a bit shocked at Thana's remark about her sister, Zoie. The woman seemed incredibly kind to him when he first arrived to Newnan, but all families had their drama. There was a reason he lived with his mother and never really got to know his father. He figured that Thana would have her reasons as well. Nodding at Ash's request to give Thana some breathing room, Jack remained where he was, perking up vastly as he spotted Tatiana coming over. He noticed one of the security team go over and whisper to Ash, and while he was the security lead, he couldn't help but be distracted by his wife.

"Everythin' okay, solovey?" Jack asked, once Tatiana had made her way over.

Beatrice Decker

Location: The Rec Center (Building 7)

With the kiss on the forehead and the backrub shared between Ray and Tiffany, Beatrice felt a little bit like puking. Beyond Tiffany, her only friends in Newnan were James and Ryan. The latter was another hopelessly in love fuck, and with James busy serving food, hanging with Ray and Tiffany was her only real option. Still, that didn't mean she didn't try to look away as they did couple things, in her best attempt to not be rude to her friend. But it was a struggle to keep her face expressionless.

"How can Tatiana steal the show?" Beatrice asked, arching an eyebrow. "You said it yourself. This entire shit fest is about the bride from the very start." But as to whether it was a nice distraction...She'd need some alcohol in her system to be able to agree with Tiffany on that matter. The sooner the wedding was over, the better. And then, everything would go back to what could pass for normal in Newnan.

"Still surviving, not much is new, really," Beatrice responded to Ray. "Yourself?"

Chloe Ridgeway

Location: The Rec Center (Building 7)

Chloe smiled slightly, waving back at her sister. She seemed to be really happy over there with Amelia, to the extent that Chloe wouldn't be surprised if the two of them ended up asking to be reassigned housing together by the end of the month. She took another sip of the drink, enjoying the subtle burn of the alcohol as it slid down her throat. It was tempting to chug it all at once, to take as many drinks as they'd let her, until she blacked out. But closing her hand slightly, her nails digging in once more, she reminded herself of how far she'd come. She didn't beat one addiction just to pick up another.

Accepting the plate from Ryan, Chloe paused for a moment. She had already let the man kiss her hair and drape his arm around her today. Anything more, Chloe figured, and the man would definitely get the wrong idea. Taking another sip of her drink--more of a gulp this time, as to buy herself extra time to answer--she wondered if talking to the resident therapist about what to do with the Irishman might be a good plan for the next day. "As long as it doesn't mean shit, okay?" Chloe stipulated. "We've talked about this, remember...?"

More and more people were coming over to get some meat, and on balance, Chloe didn't really enjoy the company of any of them. Bryn gave her the creeps, Sana only repeated the same warning about Riley, Froggy judged her for a habit she kicked fucking four years ago, and then from what she could tell, the Captain and his date were making their way over as well. All in all, as soon as James finished up serving the meat to Ryan and her, she had plans to find a spot in the corner where she could shut out reality.

"You'd rather she call you a prag?" Chloe snickered slightly, her move swinging back to something more positive as Sana insulted Irish.

Ravi Chakrabarti

Location: Four miles west of Newnan, in the snow.

Ravi shook his head slightly, wondering why he even bothered to try to get Gavin to quiet down. The walkers were slower in the snow at any rate, and the man seemed to be more than capable of handling them. As Gavin switched into the British anthem, Ravi faked bliss washing over his face, as he waved his hands up and down in the air, like conducting a band. "I'll make a proper tory out of you yet, mate," Ravi joked, fixing his beard as more bits of snow got caught in it.

But as the walker appeared, Ravi's heart skipped a beat. It was female, and as Gavin drove the knife through its brain, bellowing the anthem all the same, Ravi had to force a chuckle. His blood felt like it was running cold, and he couldn't help but stare as the walker dropped to the ground, dead. Logically, he knew that his best friend, Liv, was long since dead. Logically, he knew that there was nothing he could have done to help her, no possibility of a cure to administer.

Yet an immense feeling of guilt washed over him all the same. He had sworn to first do no harm--he had made a vow as a doctor. And those walkers, to Ravi, he felt like he betrayed them, each time he watched them die. There was brain activity, there was life--but even then, Ravi couldn't fool himself. There was no coming back from that level of death, from the infection that spread so rapidly and so mercilessly. He would have to kill a walker again. He would have to overcome that guilt.

But that didn't make him feel any less inhumane and merciless, any less like the walkers who killed for the sake of survival, who killed for the sake of killing. He hated to give up on people. But at the end of the day, Ravi was British. Stiff upper lip and all. And so, plastering a grin on his face, he joined Gavin in on the musical onslaught.

"God save our gracious Queen! Long live our noble Queen!"
@Lady Luck Miss Lady Luck, ma'am? Huge fan of your work, but shouldn't the date be 2011? ^^;
Gavi isn't going to make it to Newnan, I suspect...

December 28th, 2016 -

Andromeda frowned slightly. The police still hadn't arrived, and it wasn't like they were out in the sticks. It didn't make much sense to her, and she glanced outside briefly, expecting to see the flashing red and blue lights at any moment. But seeing none, she returned her attention to Emmie, nodding. "Tobias Fairfax was a product of his time--but yes, scummy is a good description." At Emmie's questions, Andromeda had to think for a moment. "Amiyra isn't the name of a person--it's a gypsy word meaning curse. Not the most creative thing to say with your dying breath, but if the legend is true, it worked just as well...Tobias murdered the mother, if that's what you mean. There are varying stories of what happened to the child--some claim the child wasn't human, others say the child perished in the fire, some say it was a daughter, others a son, some a pair of twins...There isn't quite enough standardization with that portion of the tale."

Back upstairs, in the attic, Keenan didn't answer Aloise's question. But that in itself was enough to let her know that there was something more to all of this. "What else is going on here, Keenan?" Aloise asked, skeptical that he was telling her everything--and even more skeptical that he'd answer her question. Keenan merely shook his head, heading out of the attic, and rejoining the others on the seventh floor.

"Escape route?" Keenan asked, before his eyes fell on the tunnel inside of the wardrobe. He frowned, pulling a device that looked similar to a geiger counter out of his pocket. Once it gave him a reading, his frown only deepened, practically etched into his face at this point. "That's impossible..." It wasn't clear whether it was the reading or the tunnel he was referring to.

"Eudora went in there? Shit," Aloise cursed, looking at Sera and Liam, as if she was wondering if they'd be jumping in there next. "This thing could be incredibly dangerous...deadly, even. Until we know what it is, don't touch it."

And before Aloise can finish her sentence, Liam's mind will go elsewhere. He will see a cloaked figure, tied in chains, screaming and begging for help. With each scream, the vision becomes a little hazier. Liam will be able to make out what appear to be filing cabinets, organized by a series of numbers and reference letters in the room as well. Beyond that, all he can hear is a sinister laugh, a mocking voice saying: "I must say, you are far more entertaining than the little witch boy...And useful. Kumakatok are so hard to find these days!"

December 28th, 1929 -

As Eudora exits the tunnel, her ears will pop ever so slightly, as if she went from one pressure difference to another. Emerging from the tunnel, she will find herself in the attic of the hotel, but entirely alone. There is no sign of Aloise, Keenan, Sera, Liam, or anyone else. There is no hint of Folly Valeska. The room is furnished marginally, with an unkempt bed, a wardrobe (which Eudora emerged from), and various bits and bobbles. It will become readily apparent that it is a child's bedroom.

Peering out through the windows, Eudora will notice that the entire landscape of Coventry has changed. Gone is the modern day, replaced with something that appears to be straight out of a movie. If she has not grasped the concept quite yet, it will become readily apparent. She has gone back in time.

"Chivvia?" a questioning voice will ask, as a young girl steps out from behind the wardrobe, having narrowly squeezed into the space between it and the wall. Eudora will recognize the face from the papers and the news. The girl is Folly Valeska, the young girl of gypsy heritage thought to be responsible for the murders. In her hands, she holds the gun used to kill Alex, but she does not seem to intend any harm to Eudora--at the moment.
Next update should be up in a few hours, once I've written a decent chunk of this paper ^^
