Nora Kingston

Location: Garden City - Apartment 301 Maratos Building at No.6 Walda Pasha

Nora accepted the letter from Neema, smiling slightly at Neema's compliment. She was quickly becoming one of Nora's favorite persons in Cairo, and perhaps, in the world itself. There was a warmth to her that she had never experienced with her own parents nor her siblings (aside from Ethan, of course). She was not one to trust so easily, and it perhaps surprised her how willing she was to divulge to Neema--and indeed, to Lady Munn as well--her private affairs.

"Both would be lovely, thank you," Nora replied, her eyes glancing over the letter from Lady Munn. It appeared that the librarian and expert on Egyptology wished for her to meet her at the museum in three hours time. Lady Munn's admonishment of hocus-pocus brought another amused smile to Nora's face, and she set the letter down, glancing up at Neema.

"Of course, thank you," Nora answered, allowing Neema to examine her finger. To be truthful, she figured that with her luck, infection would indeed set in. She had never had much luck when it came to health as a child--though she did suppose that perhaps she was lucky for having survived her childhood malady, one that claimed the lives of many. She was not certain either as to whether or not she had been lucky or unlucky to have been branded as well. In her opinion, there was a formidable case to be made for either side.

As Neema explained that she had been an assistant before settling down, Nora warmed up to the woman even more. They had the same line of employment. However, her eyes flickered back towards the letter from Lady Munn. Perhaps she should inquire as to whether or not Neema could accompany her to the museum. The woman had experience with these sort of things, experience that lended itself towards answers and explanations. Of course, she could not help but wonder if Lady Munn could be persuaded as well to believe Neema's tales. She would not be surprised if Lady Munn ended up being dismissive of her new friend's insights.

But of course, she could finish pondering that in a moment. "You must have had so many grand adventures," Nora said finally. "I should quite like to hear them, if I may...But I suppose I should explain the dreams first." She explained her dream from the previous night in detail to Neema, though she did not mention Haakon and Josephine by name, instead referring to them as the journalist and the American. Once she finished her recount of that dream, she then explained the other one, the one that had haunted her dreams for more than one single night, with the voice speaking in a tongue she did not understand, and the Udjtat burning on her finger.

"I must confess, I do imagine there is some meaning to those dreams," Nora said, as she finished describing them to Neema.

Hey everyone. Just got a few quick notes to make here:

1. I'm going to be traveling from Friday to Monday, visiting my grandparents for their fiftieth anniversary. I'll have my phone and laptop with me, but I'll be attempting to frontload replies now and then catch up on the others when I'm home, if possible. So depending on how things go, next update will either be tonight or Monday/Tuesday.

2. We're in the afternoon hours at the moment in the RP. We're a few hours out from the circus performance that evening. For the large hotel group (Andromeda, Hanson, Keenan, Emmie, Aloise, ect...), your characters won't need to move to the circus performance until 7 this evening. For members in the circus, the call time is five, so you have an hour or so until you need to be back at the circus and getting ready. Depending on how quickly things go/what everyone gets up to, we may do a time skip of a few hours to the performance, so that way our circus peeps don't have to RP getting dressed for ages.

3. Keep on filling out those clue sheets! I've been dropping a lot of hints lately that I'm hoping people pick up on.

4. This is a note on the wardrobe. So in the IC, there are wardrobes at the hotel and in the circus storage tent. There is not a wardrobe in the police records room, where Liam entered, even though he popped up there. There is something else there that acts just like the wardrobes do. Just making sure this is clear, since I was worried it may cause some confusion.

5. Not really an important note, just wanted to say that I want to marry Fairfax one day. That's all.
Neema is so pure and wonderful and aggggh. I love her so much.

October Crypt

Interacting With: @Nallore Carolina Reed
Location: Saranac Lake

October didn't look back at Carolina as she asked whether or not they should simply bring it back to Faust. At any rate, October did not trust the man. She was suspicious of his intentions and why he created a school. From her experience, actions such as the children raiding the city did not sit well with those who could be trusted with these artifacts. He could easily have the ring in his possession for some sort of attack.

But that was not really why the reason October wanted to keep the ring. To be honest, she simply wanted it because she did not understand it. Returning the ring to Faust would prevent her understanding. Her curiosity dominated her actions in almost every situation and this was no exception. After moments of thought, she turned back towards Carolina, just as her friend suggested they leave the house.

"This is Saranac PD!" the officer called out, his flashlight illuminating the empty halls. "Come on out, show yourself! You're trespassing on private property!"

October glanced towards the sound of the officer's voice, before following Carolina towards the back door, box in hand. The light of the flashlight, however, caught October's dress. The officer, his pistol raised, aimed it towards the young girl. "Put your hands in the air!"

But October dashed forward, attempting to make it out before the officer could shoot. She barely made it out of the door in time as the gun was fired, the bullet embedding itself into the door frame, just inches away from where October had been a moment prior. Closing the door, October quickly looked around, seeing only trees in front of them that melted into forest, and to either side of them, more homes. To go back would be to encounter the officer.

"Go on ahead!" October beckoned to her friend, as she held the box in one hand. With the other, she created a ball of fire, and threw it towards the back door. It took a moment, but the door soon burst into a wall of flames. "Should buy us some time," she explained.
@BlueSky44 Starkette's relations just need the addition of Cassandra and then she'll be good to go.

Do you have a deadline for when to complete relations?

Dorothy Pender

Location: the Medical Bay ---> the Captain's Office

Dorothy's head snapped in the direction of the intercom as she heard Anisa's voice. The anger in it made Dorothy's stomach churn and for a moment, she felt quite ill. She wasn't entirely sure what set Anisa off this time, but given that the Captain wasn't outside dealing with the buyer, it couldn't have been anything good. She sighed slightly, trying to mentally prepare herself for whatever had gotten Anisa worked up. Perhaps the deal had gone sour, she figured. But at the same time, she figured there was a decent chance it had to do with her sister.

"Yes, it would seem so," Dorothy agreed quietly, feeling perhaps a bit bad for Jahosafat. Maybe she had judged him too harshly before, but the man seemed more peculiar than prone to alcoholism. She was grateful that he had set about packing, since they didn't need any more trouble that day. "Just remember--we can't take anything that's Alliance. Nothing that could be tracked or identified."

And then, steeling her nerves, Dorothy left the medical bay and headed for the Captain's Office. She could only hope that Anisa would be calm, but she had heard her friend's voice ring out over the intercom. That wasn't how a calm Anisa sounded. Once she reached the Captain's Office, Dorothy knocked on the door, waiting for Anisa to tell her to enter.

"Captain? You wanted to see me?" Dorothy called out, letting Anisa know that it was her standing outside the door.

Cecily & Iris

Location: Justice Asylum For The Criminally Insane: the Ludwig Building

Cecily couldn't help but feel almost calmed by Keystone's Cockney rage. It cut through the tension like in a Marvel movie, where the seriousness was replaced with one character acting almost goofily. And while she was sure Keystone didn't mean to seem ridiculous, he also had said bacon-wrapped hell. It was the type of phrase that went on a t-shirt, alongside a picture of Rocket the Raccoon.

But as she glimpsed the increased irritation in Proserpine's face, as well as the shortness from the far smaller man's voice, she felt the gravity of the situation once more. The girl's cries for help brought her fully back into the more appropriate mentality, and once again, Cecily couldn't help but feel dismayed that there was a hostage. Otherwise, they could have arrested Proserpine already. Closure could have been achieved.

Tutwiler? She hadn't the faintest clue what it was. She couldn't help but imagine a Guantanamo Bay like complex, or perhaps even like Blackgate Prison in the DC comics. Or maybe it was some sort of special academy, where special forces were trained? Or perhaps a scene of a notorious fight? Either way, if they made it out of this intact, she was definitely going to do a google search or two.

Iris, however, let out a sigh of frustration, back in Cynthia's room. She couldn't hear any sirens and from what she could tell, SWAT wasn't even close to arriving at the asylum yet. The seconds seemed to drag on like hours and she felt like a sitting duck, just waiting for some horrible thing to happen, and doing nothing to prevent it. Tugging on her hair, she then glanced around Cynthia's room. Maybe there'd be something in there to help, at least--some sort of clue as to who the woman outside was. And while she felt it was a bit unethical, it was her best option. She started to look through Cynthia's things, hoping to stumble across something useful.
@Pundii: On day 5, hun

Location: Almack's

As Mary informed her that no others that they cared for had passed from this life to the next, Virginia felt a bit of relief. While she still felt immense sorrow for dear Mosi, at least no other friends of hers had greeted the reaper with open arms. Quite enough misfortune had already come to pass that evening, and in her heart, Virginia could only lay blame with the Ton. Every misery, including the death of dear Mosi, could be attributed to them. As she already loathed London society, the evening at Almack's could do hardly anything to improve her opinion.

She had followed Dame Hale through the gallery and around each turn, and as she spied the Arch Graveolase, with Mary's cloak covering him, her eyes widened ever so slightly. It took her but a moment to grasp the implications of Mary's words. A female knight itself was unheard of, Catholics were shunned in society, and now, a person who combined the two would take the title of Arch Graveolase for the time being. While she would like to have happiness for her friend, it was dampened by her sorrow--not for the Arch Graveolase, as she cared not for him, of course.

Virginia nodded at the Grand Duchess, unfamiliar with the term she used, but it seemed to be of some great importance. Besides, the Crypt woman found that concentrating on the matters at hand allowed her to push through the grief. She would mourn dear Mosi properly once she had returned to the townhouse. "Of course, Grand Duchess," Virginia replied, before looking towards the source of the scream with curiosity. Her hand reached for an axe, yet bewilderment shone on her face as she heard an inhuman roar. As she spotted the large white tiger, Virginia merely looked at it with astonishment, no weapon in her hand.

"He's beautiful," Virginia whispered, gazing at the tiger as it went from protective and menacing in one minute to calm and practically docile in the next. She could not help but feel fond of Elizaveta's pet. She had wanted a wolf when she lived in the colonies and according to her mother, when she was little, Virginia used to play with snakes found in the garden. She adored dangerous animals, although her bloodhound, Ripper, could only main or seriously injure a fly, and never kill it--or so Virginia claimed.

Location: Teriny Inn

"Aye, 'eaven forbid de ruffians git up ter any nonsense," Maeve replied, chuckling a bit at both her comment and as Calum succeeded in fuddling about once more. Of course, this seemed to be a more advanced level of fuddling, one that seemed extreme even for the parson. She raised an eyebrow, wondering how the man ever learned to walk. She could not help but imagine what he would seem like at sea, where even the most able bodied men would lose their balance. Perhaps by some miracle, he would walk perfectly on a ship.

"I dunno 'oy much 'elp God can give 'im, bit av a lost cause really," Maeve chuckled, shaking her head as she finished up her food. She figured that Calum would be able to spring himself up to his feet, or if not, he could wait a few minutes if he needed her assistance. For a moment, she imagined the journey he made by himself to come and collect her. She could not fathom how he managed to travel any distance at all.

"I t'ink i'll be turnin' in, lads," Maeve said, before looking over at Nigel and nodding at him. She was really quite looking forward to that bath, though at the same time, Calum making a fool out of himself was quite entertaining. It'd be a pity to miss him flailing about, if he kept up with it.
