Cecily Ashworth

Location: Justice Asylum For The Criminally Insane

Cecily nodded at Caesar's words. She wasn't sure if they would be able to get access to the scene and those tapes later on, as any remaining investigation would be in homicide's ball court. It'd be out of the coroner's office and out of Cecily's control, though there was a chance that Roy would be able to get them in, if he took this over as his case in terms of charging a culprit and handing over a list of evidence to the D.A.'s office.

The mention of the MSS office in Seattle tugged a bit at Cecily's heartstrings. She had lived in so many cities, attended so many different private schools, that she never really had a hometown. But Seattle had been her birthplace and the city that she always thought could have been her hometown. It was the city where she'd want her ashes to be scattered when she died.

She let Keystone usher her out of the asylum, having completed just about every task left for her. As he explained being in a bit of a rush, Cecily picked up the pace, walking as fast as she could next to the far larger man. "Don't worry about it," Cecily replied, feeling her own phone vibrate as a text came in. The night air felt good against her face as they hurried into the car, Cecily getting into her seat and shutting her door after Keystone opened it for her. Reading the message from Roy brought a bit of an excited smile to her face. She might not look it, but the girl was a cosplayer. She had a Ciel Phantomhive cosplay back in her apartment.
Yes!!!! I could go as Rogue or something. Maybe Scarlet Witch? If we don't die, I am so holding you to this. -C.A.

She then giggled slightly at Keystone's glee over the kitchen still being open, but her stomach was practically just as excited. She listened to the man order enough to feed a small army, wondering how anyone could put away that much food without getting sick. "Uh...Spaghetti bolognese and a salad?" Cecily requested.

Iris Kingston

Location: Justice Asylum For The Criminally Insane: the Ludwig Building

Iris glanced up at the sound of the orderly approaching, seeing the bag with Cynthia's belongings. The orderly sounded completely knackered and Iris' heart went out to the man. Hours working at the asylum were terrible as it was, even without kidnapping and murder. She could have asked the orderly to drop Cynthia's things off in her room, but Iris had a gut feeling that there may be something helpful in Cynthia's possessions. Perhaps there'd be some clue that would help resolve this ordeal.

"I'll take them, merci," Iris said with a smile, taking the belongings from the orderly.

She wished that she could tell the orderly to go and get some rest, but it wasn't her authority to do so. She was even more tempted to let the man kip in her office if he needed to. "Go and get some rest, if you can." Iris then sat down behind her desk, putting the bag of belongings on her desk before searching through it for anything of note. Maybe there'd be something from Cynthia's mother, something to confirm or deny the woman's identity as Jenny Green. Maybe there'd be an address. Just maybe there'd be something useful.
@Nallore Day 5, friend!

Starkette

Location: Hanson Power Plant
{"Don't let your past determine the future."}

"Yes, ma'am," Starkette replied, climbing up to the window with Cassandra's help. She perched slightly in the windowsill, almost reminiscent of the way Hawkeye would perch up in high places during S.H.I.E.L.D. missions. Starkette smirked a bit at the thought. Cassandra could be the Romanoff to her Barton, and in situations like this, that'd need to happen. She heard the growling getting stronger, with her watch having already alerted them to the hostile in the area.

Starkette reached down, extending a hand to Cassandra when Sabretooth rushed into the clearing. She blinked, seeing the mutant's claws extended. "Subject identified. Accessing S.H.I.E.L.D. files on Victor Creed, alias Sabretooth," her watch announced, only for Starkette to curse. It might have been pretty handy for hacking into computers, but she really didn't need it to make announcements that were entirely obvious all of the time. She'd definitely need to do some tinkering around with it later.

"No, no files! Don't make me donate you!" Starkette muttered at the watch. The watch then shut down its data surfing, as from Starkette's viewpoint, it was pointless. She remembered enough about Sabretooth. He was one of the standard Brotherhood goons, blessed with some of the same gifts as Wolverine, even if not quite as potent. Seeing Cassandra dash out of the way of Sabretooth, Starkette pulled her pistol and aimed it down at the hostile mutant, squeezing the trigger three times in rapid succession. The first two bullets missed the mutant, with the last hitting him in the arm.

She knew that Cassandra had wanted her to go on ahead, but the least she could do was provide cover fire for her Supervising Officer. The recoil from the gun didn't knock her from her perch, thankfully, and she heard Beast's roar coming with relief. If Beast could distract Sabretooth, that'd be enough time to pull Cassandra up and get her inside.
@FantasyChic Thalia

December 28th, 2016 - 6:20 P.M. Local Time - Cirque Anomaly, Main Tent

Boris bowed his head slightly and did a bit of a bow to Lilith. He tapped another knife twice against his head, wiggling his face back and forth almost as if to imply that he had forgot himself. "Right, right! Getting a grip...I'll get a grip..." He chuckled darkly, seemingly calmed down until he noticed Thalia backing away. Something about that didn't seem to sit well with the maniac, with Boris holding his knife back to throw it. But Thalia manages to pull hers out and chuck it towards Boris first, only for the maddened clown to duck out of the way, the knife hitting Lilith instead in the chest near her shoulder.

"Oops," Boris cackled a bit, pretending to fret over Lilith's injury. The knife was stuck in her chest and hadn't hit an artery, but removing the knife could be dangerous. It was the only thing stopping the blood flow. "My turn!" Boris shouted, before throwing his other knife at Thalia, hitting her in the hip this time.

The ringmaster wasn't stupid, of course. On one hand, Thalia and Lilith were two decent members of the circus and brought in a fair deal of money. But on the other hand, the longer this went on, the more reason they'd have to get rid of the Valeskas once and for all. He regretted the day that Fiodora came home with the man--though of course, his name hadn't been Boris Valeska then. From what the ringmaster could recall, the man had done hard time in New Jersey before hand. Changing his name had been necessary.

"Boris!" the ringmaster called out, hopping onto the stage. "None of this will bring Fiodora back, man!"

An inhuman wail ripped its way out of Boris' throat, as he spun around dramatically to face the ringmaster. Meanwhile, Faust was watching the events with not curiosity, but with anger. Lilith hadn't been quiet when she shouted at Boris, revealing that she knew that Faust was a demon. The man was livid, clenching his fists as his eyes turned black and he approached Thalia on the stage.

"What are you?" Faust hissed. "You're not human, so don't lie to me, you little bitch." Faust then yanked the knife out of Thalia's hip crudely, intending to hurt her in the process.

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Police Station, Records Office ---> Circus Grounds Entrance - December 28th, 2016 - 6:20 P.M. Local Time
Interacting With: Emmie Adams @Nallore, Eudora Erebus @Witch Cat, and John Fairfax

Fairfax accepted Emmie's help gratefully, looking a bit dismayed at Folly's absence. He smiled a politely at Eudora, knowing many men from his own time who were far braver than him. There were boys in Coventry who had left for war and came back as haunted men. People far braver than him who did not return at all. It had been eleven years since the Great War ended, but its legacy was still felt in 1929.

"You are too kind, Eudora," Fairfax said by means of thanks, regaining his strength a bit more with each and every step. "But I must imagine you do not know many men if I am the bravest one you know," Fairfax joked, weaving his way throughout the frozen police officers.

Andromeda made up the tail end of the little group, looking around uneasily at all of the cops. It was like walking through a museum of statues, only she knew just about each and every person here. She may have spent her early childhood in New Mexico, but her high school years and her summers were mostly spent here in Coventry. Some of the cops were the parents of kids she had classes with--hell, some of them were the kids she had classes with.

"Why would a demon go to all of this trouble just to scare us?" Andromeda asked aloud, as the group left the police station and started to walk for the circus grounds. "I know that Mephistopheles killed my father but...I don't know why he did it," Andromeda admitted, her voice cracking slightly. That was part of the reason why she hired Seraphina to look into the case--to figure out the mystery behind her father's death. There had to be a reason for Mephistopheles to do all of these horrible things, to murder so many innocent people...

"Some men can't be reasoned with," Fairfax observed. "They just want to watch the world burn for no reason other than their own satisfaction..."

It wasn't too long before they made it to the circus entrance. As Eudora poked her head into the little tent, it served as a ticket purchasing area of sorts. Once people had attained their tickets or showed them to the carnies at the front, they would then be directed through the back of the tent and down the lawn to the brightly lit main tent, where the show would happen in just forty minutes. Andromeda pulled out her wallet and went to the front, paying for tickets for Eudora, Emmie, Fairfax, and herself. Once she had them in hand, she headed through the tent with the others.

"We stick to the plan," Andromeda said in a hushed voice, just so the others could hear. "Emmie and I'll be in the crowd. Fairfax and Eudora, find a place to hide. We'll have to hope that Folly follows through, wherever she ran off to..."

Aloise Zamora

Location: The Morgue - December 28th, 2016 - 6:20 P.M. Local Time
Interacting With: Olivia Johnson @Nallore

Aloise nodded curtly, standing at parade rest as Olivia went to go search for the file. Looking at the file would be a good place to start, but Aloise's questions would likely get some odd glances. Namely, she'd want to know if any organs were missing. If there were any bite marks or claw marks, she'd like pictures of them, in order to properly identify them. Looking to see if there was any sulfur found on the body or near it would also be a big help.

Listening to Olivia's information about the cause of death, Aloise felt slightly disappointed. None of those were jumping out to her as potential supernatural killers. It could easily have been a traditional serial killer. Hell, maybe the police were right. Maybe Folly had been the murderer after all. Not all crimes were caused by the supernatural, after all. Not everything required a hunter's expertise.

"Of course," Aloise replied, handing over her credentials to Olivia. The credentials are fake, but Olivia won't be able to tell it's a forgery. Aloise tends to get the very best forgeries, as well as having an old hunter friend who routinely pretends to be a supervisor for whatever agency she needs at the moment on speed dial. "Olivia...Was any sulfur found near or around the body?"
@Witch Cat Probably won't be a timeskip. However, the group at the police station will be able to make it to the circus grounds (so feel free to have Eudora get there in your post). Mostly because the shit that is going on at the circus will definitely impact all players.
@Witch Cat@Nallore@BlueSky44@FantasyChic@Pundii

So I just realized that I had been making a tiny error in a majority of the updates. The date should be December 28th, past and future (as shown in the original OOC and in the CS template), but I had been accidentally marking it as December 29th. I've just gone and fixed all of the date markers on old updates. If you used a date marker in any of your old posts and would like to fix it to account for it, tag me here and let me know. I'll give you guys a week to do this.

Nora Kingston

Location: Garden City - Apartment 301 Maratos Building at No.6 Walda Pasha

By the time that Neema entered Nora's set of rooms, Nora had finished with her breakfast and was glancing at the brief notes she had made the previous day on the rubbings. She closed the little book as Neema entered and set it aside, returning it to its home within Nora's purse. The news that Neema had a friend who was a follower of Bastet struck Nora as quite curious. Yet she herself had suggested to Lady Munn just yesterday that with such happenings, it would be logical for a chapter of Bastet's followers to still exist, perhaps even in Cairo.

"Your friend does sound like she would provide some much welcomed insight," Nora replied. The more she could glean about her dreams, the better she would feel for it. It felt almost like staring at an equation she only understood bits and pieces of, needing some sort of index to define the rest of the variables. Only with more information, Nora felt, could she possibly begin to understand what forces were afoot in Cario--forces that Nora previously would have dismissed as pure hogwash.

How strange just a few hours time could be for one's beliefs and disposition...That was not to say that Nora believed in the fictitious and the impossible, but that she was allowing herself to consider the improbable. It was the only method remaining in which she could attain the truth of the entire mind boggling situation. Nora's cheeks flushed slightly at Neema's mention of Aton being at dinner. It was perhaps true that Nora could use to be around a family, with her family being the all too typical example of the ton and society. She felt that in the past few hours, Neema had adopted her into her own family in some way.

"I would be more than honored to come, Neema," Nora said with a bit of a smile. "I was also perhaps hoping that, if you are so inclined, you would join me at the museum at noon today? I am meeting with an Egyptologist who has been experiencing similar phenomena and would be quite grateful for your insight, I am certain..." But Nora did realize that Neema likely wanted to leave quickly, what with all of the appointments they had set for them. She opened the door for Neema to allow her to exit first, as respectfully as she could.
