@BlueSky44: Day 5!

Cecily Ashworth

Location: MSS Private Jet

Cecily regretted not bringing more volumes with her. She was about halfway through the book by the time meals were brought out to them. It was definitely way nicer than anything she had had on a plane before, her stomach grumbling a bit in agreement. Not only was it an actual meal, but it covered most of the major food groups. "Erm...Could I have a Virgin Shirley Temple, please?" Cecily asked, not wanting to have alcohol. She had had plenty of wine at Keystone's the night before, and she was such a lightweight she figured she'd be useless with any alcohol in her system.

Cecily ate her meal slowly, lost in her own train of thought as usual. The Jessica Jones comic was closed and tucked underneath her arm, as Cecily quickly swiped through her phone, seeing what movies she had in her library. They were all on the Cloud, but she kept most of them downloaded on her laptop. She mostly didn't want to go through the hazard of getting it out if none of them struck her interest.

There were a few X-Men movies on there, including her favorite one: Days of Future Past. While the plot differed a bit from the original comics, since Shadowcat was the one who originally went back in time, the famed Kitchen Scene always made up for it. Of course, Apocalypse was great too, though she felt that Quicksilver scene paled in comparison to the original. But speaking of the movies, something bothered her greatly...

How old were all the characters supposed to be? If Magneto was a little boy during the Holocaust, then she could estimate him as being born in the 30s. Why was he played by the same actor who portrayed him in First Class still? Shouldn't he be in his 50's now? And of course, the same went for Professor X. It made sense for Wolverine and Mystique to not age, and she supposed Quicksilver could have been 17 in the first movie and 27 in the next, but really? Even the CIA agent, who couldn't claim her slow aging to be from mutant powers, hardly looked a day older. And of course, let's not forget about Deadpool...He was in his 30s in Wolverine, but in a film set forty years or so later, he was still in his 30s? How could changing the timeline impact everything to that extent? Why didn't it make any sense?

To anyone watching Cecily's facial expression, she would seem to be deeply troubled. And of course, she was.

Iris Kingston

Location: 3932 Chicago Heights

Iris hesitated, looking at Amy with apprehension. She wasn't sure how hard it would be for the administrators to figure out who spoke anonymously, with everyone forwarding her contact information to anyone who had questions. There still seemed to be a big danger of losing her job, but Iris' conscience was already beginning to feel guilty. She was new to this career and knew that the board would likely cover up the incident. The families affected by this tragedy probably wouldn't learn the truth. And if she was fired and had her license confiscated, her brother would help her out. He was overprotective--he'd likely just find some job for her at his company and that would be that.

"Okay," Iris said finally. "Off the record, non? Mr. Hausten was visiting a patient who had just transferred to the Ludwig Building that day. She attacked him et bien, another patient got 'excited' and decided to join in, killing an orderly. Shortly after, the patient Mr. Hausten was visiting was abducted by an unknown woman. The SWAT team didn't arrive in time, but FBI was already on the scene for some reason..."

Iris bit her lip, tugging on another strand of her hair. "I can't give you names but...there's likely a visitor's log that you can access and figure them out from." Her conscience felt a little bit lighter, though Iris was simultaneously worried that she had made a horrible mistake. She prided herself on being an honest person, but she loved her job and loved being able to try and make a difference. She looked uneasily towards Amy, still feeling gripped by her dilemma.

"I don't know what else I can tell you...Maybe try talking to the coroner's office? Forensics already cleared the scene, je pense."
@mnkee This better be good lol
@mnkee Normally I'd say yes but...What the hell. Do whatever you want. Assume you make the rolls correctly. XD
I suppose I can get a post up...But I really do admire that number. XD

The Port of Tortuga: April 4th, 1719 - 2:45 PM Local Time

Aravis Zacharia

Location: the Faithful Bride - Port of Tortuga

Catalina shook her head at Anastasia. She had stitched up plenty of people before, but she never had any medical training in the slightest. Her only training was years of mending garments and once her brother realized it wasn't too different from stitching people up, it became another way for them to make a pretty penny or two. As for the additional cost of the stitches for the legs, Catalina shook her head. "Is gift. No fees for legs," Catalina replied, smiling gently at Anastasia. Once she finished up her current row of stitches, she then beckoned for Anastasia to stick her leg out and allow her to get to work there.

"I am certain," Aravis nodded at Anastasia. It was an impulse decision, but it was also one she felt strongly about. "I can handle myself," Aravis then added. It was true, after all. She had spent a good portion of her life living as a thief at one port or another.

"You'll get an infection like that," Virginia observed, her eyes leaving the petals and staring down Elissa. "If you die, at least your corpse will be put to good use." The pale woman then smiled, as if attempting to be comforting, but it was anything but that. It was unnerving to say the very least.

"Hush, Virginia! You scare them," Catalina chided, about halfway done stitching up Anastasia's leg. Elissa would be next and Catalina didn't expect much in the form of additional payment.

Downstairs, the barkeep nodded at Millicent, pulling out a ledger from underneath the counter. He squinted at it for a while before he found her name. "Si, si! Go upstairs. Last room on the right," the barkeep instructed. Payment had been settled in advanced for a few nights. Any additional nights could be added onto her tab and paid when she was done with her time at the Faithful Bride.

Édouard Riviere

Location: Twelve Daggers Tavern - Port of Tortuga

Outside of the tavern, Sirena's screaming didn't seem to do anything. Mr. Alucard quickly vanished into the crowd and the little girl had started to cry. To make matters worse, it had been almost two hours since Harlianne sent Anastasia and Sirena out to do some recruiting. They'd be expected to return to the ship by now, hopefully with at least something to show for their efforts. The little girl tugged on Sirena's skirts, her eyes wide with confusion as a blonde woman practically ran through the crowd, barefoot. She was headed in the direction of the marshes and had a certain wildness to her.

Inside the tavern, Édouard was doing what Édouard did best--being useless. He continued to drink whatever was put in front of him, flirting with any women who came by, and being a general terror to the crew. He was, in essence, a spoiled brat and the man knew it. No one could touch him, as long as his parents had anything to say about it. Given the organization they ran as well, hardly anyone would dare to.

The messenger gulped and nodded. "She has gone missing and Miss Margot, she has been killed. People are looking for Miss Alisanne but the worst is to be assumed."
@Witch Cat And of course, don't forget to put Daniyal's CS in the CS tab!
Will be getting a post up today. Counters will be reset with the update for Blue, mnkee, and Nallore - since you guys are on day 5 or higher.

Dorothy Pender

Location: Docks (Underground)

The outburst once again got Dorothy to raise her eyebrow at the man. She wasn't sure what she had expected from him, but it wasn't the usual chain of Chinese curses that were typically uttered among the crew. In fact, Dorothy couldn't recall ever hearing someone use that sort of expression. It reeked of Alliance elitism to her, but Foy was the only man around who could get this job done. Dorothy didn't want to think about what would happen if they failed to catch the spy. She didn't want to experience Anisa's wrath again that day.

"...Right," Dorothy said, not sure what she was exactly supposed to say to Foy in that situation. "Any telling how close we are? Be best if we aren't much longer, or Anisa will have both of our heads--whether you're a crew member or not."

She waited as patiently as she could for Foy to give her more information regarding which direction to go, though in the back of her head, a nagging sensation told her they were wasting time. Each second the went by was just another second for their quarry to get farther and farther ahead. If they didn't find the woman soon, Dorothy feared, they never would. She grimaced slightly, doubting for a moment whether or not she was really cut out to be Anisa's second.

But those thoughts weren't going to get them anywhere. She didn't have time to ponder what Jackson would have done or to feel guilty for not noticing the hidden woman in the first place. She stood just a pace behind Foy, ready to keep on following him through the storm drain for as long as it took--but hopefully, not too much longer...

Fitz Townsley

Location: Town (Toy Store)

Fitz found the use of a gun holster for a feather duster a bit alarming at first, but then he supposed that could just be the way things are out here. He had spent pretty much his entire life in the Core, with this being his first trip to the Border Planets. He hadn't even began to dream of what things might be like out in the Rim. Of course, it crossed his mind briefly that perhaps the old man could've been a criminal back in the day, but he doubted it. He seemed so frail and kind, almost like Father Christmas.

"T-Traveling," Fitz replied, biting his lip as he surveyed the chess board. He moved the pawn blocking his bishop forward, his hands entirely steady. Some might have thought the lack of tremors in his hand uncharacteristic, but Fitz used his hands for his work. His social anxiety manifested itself almost entirely in his speech. "I-I've spent my entire life on Osiris...And I'm t-twenty nine years old. I want to see the 'Verse," Fitz finished, fiddling with the little friendship bracelet of wires a bit.

He then paused for a moment, realizing with embarrassment that he hadn't introduced himself to the old man or asked for his name in exchange. "M-my name's Fitz Townsley...Technically Dr. Townsley but you can just call me Fitz. A-And what's your name, if you don't mind me asking?"
@Witch Cat: Hey hun, just a little thing. Daniyal and Eudora need to have different text colors.
