Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.

@Dawnscroll. That's a real unlucky hand you've been dealt. I feel for you.

The good thing is that you've made your boundaries fairly clear. Whatever happens, just stick to them and don't be compromised or negotiated out of them. If you end up being worried about her, know that she has to be the one to change her behaviour if she wants to get herself out of her situation. You (and probably any therapist she's been seeing) have done everything that you need to from your end.

It sucks for a while, but the pain passes much faster than if you tried to chase after her. Take care of yourself.

Question; and I am genuinely not trying to bring RL drama into this thread so do forgive me.

Has anyone here ever had any previous experience with an unfaithful girlfriend, spouse or significant other? I could use some sort of comraderie with someone who has been there done that.


Some of us might have been through something similar.

What's the situation? Are you two still together or have you separated due to an incident?

Let us know if you'd rather not have internet relationship counselling. I'm just curious.

Sabine remained looking down at her clasped hands in her lap, only glancing up to check on those shuffling out of the room. Marcaille and her still had some work to do in the afternoon, but Sabine quietly answered "later" when asked about when she would be around that team.

Vera was the last out of the room. She glanced back from the door, giving Meesei and Sabine a small smile before leaving.

It was at this point that Sabine stood up and walked around the table to Meesei with her eyes to the floor. The way she was breathing indicated that she didn't know where to start.

"...I feel like I should be more excited," Sabine eventually said. "I want to see Ariel again. But bringing her back...she has so much in Thorn. It is dangerous to take her from there."


"That sounds larger than life," Janius responded with astonishment. "I have heard about the Nerevarine, but not all of those details. You're right, that is hard to believe." Janius looked into his cup and swirled it around. "Although, I suppose if others have slewn and eaten the souls of dragons or fought against hordes of invading daedra, I suppose killing living gods isn't much farther to step up."

Janius paused to drink again. "So, you had a run-in with a hero, you researched said hero, what then?" Janius raised an eyebrow. "Did you learn more? Did you ever meet the Nerevarine again?"

Hey, I didn't really mind it. Sorry for ribbing you about it.

If it was your intention to imply that Vowzra was actively hiding his feelings, you were subtle enough. What wouldn't have been good is if you left those descriptions in there as a way to pad things out without them being relevant in the slightest. I'm glad to hear that it wasn't the latter. Making sure that the reader knows the difference sounds like the hard part.

I'm sure if Vowzra had any emotions in his broad chest -- not that he did, honest engines, I swear, can't make that clear enough -- he would be proud. But he isn't...'cause his broad chest is empty. No pride. I mean, it's appropriate, but he's not got it. He's not smiling, that's just an empty chest. He's completely empty guys. Vowzra, stop displaying body language. God damn it Vowzra, you're not supposed to have any emotions. He's not proud guys, he's just got a nervous tick. Yeah. No feelings. For fuck's sake Vowzra! Stop crying! I found a gif, and then googled 'caption a gif'.

You could open it up in GIMP and manually put the text in particular frames, but that's reeeeeealy tedious.
