Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

By habit at this point, Ariel looked to the counter as soon as she walked in the door and approached Rukeewei with a wide smile. "Hello, darling," she said, putting a hand on Rukeewei's arm and shoulder and placing a light kiss on his lips. "Yes, I couldn't leave today for work with my sister visiting." She flashed a grin for a moment, but it did not last. "There is also some important business that I want to share with you, but first..."

Ariel let Rukeewei go and turned to the rest of the pack. "Hello everyone! It's been too long." She approached with another wide grin and visited each around the table with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"It's good to see you again, Ariel," Fendros said.

"And you too. Oh! Sabine and Meesei tell me you and Ahnasha are wedded now! Congratulations!" Ariel placed a hand each on Fendros and Ahnasha's shoulders. She then took a long inward breath and her grin broadened when Rhazii looked up to her from Ahnasha's lap. Ariel leaned in to speak with an endearing voice. "Rhazii? My stars, Meesei told me you had grown like a Cathay, but you were so tiny when we last met! Hello!"

Rhazii stared blankly up at the woman he was too young to remember.

"This is auntie Ariel, little one," Fendros explained. "She's Sabine's sister. I promise she's nicer than Monderyn. Say hello."

"Hello," Rhazii said in his still high voice.

"Hello," Ariel repeated with a giggle.

Around the table, Ariel's greetings continued. "Lorag, greetings to you as well." She placed a hand on his shoulder as well. "You look like you haven't changed a bit."

After hearing Lorag's reply if there was one, Ariel gave his shoulder a pat and moved on to the remainder. "Ah, Kaleeth and Janius, I've heard so much. And this must be little Newt. I couldn't imagine anyone more cute!"

Janius smiled just as broadly as Ariel and gave her a nod. "It's good to see you in health, Ariel. How has your shop been faring?"

"Well, very well," Ariel kept her eyes and grin on Newt. She leaned in to speak to the toddler at a high pitch. "Hello!" She gave Kaleeth-rei a glance. "You have a beautiful child, you two."

For all the comfort Yizan-Lei had about his fate, Gallus knew a grieving child when he saw one.

After giving the others a quick look, he carefully lowered himself to sit next to Yizan's prone body, making sure not to accidentally touch the root. If he was listening to the Hist, Gallus knew that his comfort would be one in a crowd, but he tried anyway.

Gallus reached and placed a hand lightly on Yizan-Lei's arm, looking at him with a frown. "I am sorry. I did not know your mother for long, but as someone with sons of my own, I think she would appreciate any less suffering you held."

After another quiet moment to allow Yizan-Lei to weep, Gallus spoke softly again. "Even if you do not wish to leave the Hist, I still made a promise that I would help you. If there is anything I can do for you, anything at all, let me know."
...that I might have a post in progress so big that it threatens to break the 200,0000 character limit, and that such a scenario might mean that THERE IS NO ROOM FOR A SUMMARY?

Well, you'll be risking giving us cases of:

Not exactly, but I think he was introduced around page 42ish? Maybe a few less?
I was going so save this for a cinematic post. Instead, embrace your desire to feel the rhythm to feel connected enough to step aside and weep like a widow to feel inspired to fathom the power, and so on...

That's not even the right song lyrics, but whatever.

The second half is especially nice.
Ariel lowered her hands to her lap and frowned. "That would be appreciated, Meesei. And...thank you for allowing me time." She took a slow breath and almost straightened. "If there is anything to make this easier, Rukeewei knows that I used to be a witch, so he would at least not feel completely shocked that there are more strange things from my past."

Looking up at Sabine and Meesei, Ariel attempted to smile. "You mentioned that your pack is at the inn, yes? We might head over there now if you like. I have no more orders to fill today and it is best that we get this done as soon as we can."

Gallus got the impression that Yizan-Lei was more accepting of his fate than Gallus had originally expected. It might have been the closure of hearing of his mother's death or he had simply had enough time to work through it on his own. Either way, Gallus answered as honestly as he could.

"If I recall, the souls of Argonians return to the Hist," he said, continuing his solemn voice. "I remember vaguely something about reincarnation but, like I said, I am no scholar in such matters. I take it that is your wish?"

licks lips "Beast Riding".

I already have riding dogs intended as an established thing for the hain of Loralom. Pls don't steal-

...

Oh. The phrasing.
I thought Conata's people would have learned the art of swordmaking and, being traders and merchants, would be selling them by this point

Edit: by 'Conata's people' I mean the Rovaick in general

Yeah, knowing them, she made a knife for a tedar and a goblin started using it as a weapon. Instant sword.
We've got obsidian swords and metal things. I don't think metal swords would be much of a leap at this point.
@Lauder B-but he hasn't even raped as many things as Jvan. Or Logos. Even Toun has raped more things than him (the entire hain race!) And when it comes to mind-raping, Vulamera is the guy

Hey. That wasn't rape.

That was a precise and deliberate operation on their brains.
I actually planned to bundle this post with some other sections into a bigger and better one before I realised that there's no point mixing the useless characters in with the good ones.

I don't want to actually stop writing Violet, I just... You know how people get a kick out of watching cringe videos?

That.

There is no shame in giving us posts in smaller portions, y'know.

And hey, if you think Violet is cringy, there is competition for that in this RP. Let your prose run wild and free!
