To all my players and writing partners; Don't worry! I've not vanished or forgotten you. I've had something come up, and will be taking the rest of this week off from my RPs. See you next week!
Okay; Opener is down, I'll get to posting for Jesse when I'm able. I was hoping to have more posts before I made mine, and it looks like we may have another member joining the (soon to be) coterie.
@rocketrobie2 Appreciate the interest, but you're literally the fifth person to contact me about this. I'll keep you on the list and let you know, but this got a lot more attention a lot faster than I expected, so I'm gonna be putting it on hold.
Title pretty much says it all. I'm looking for someone crazy enough to run through D&D campaigns with me, just the two of us.
We'd be starting with level 5 characters (or higher), and we can discuss the nitty-gritty as appropriate. I'm planning to use the 5th edition of D&D, but I have access to both 3/3.5 edition, Pathfinder, and Pathfinder 2e.
To be clear, we'd each be running a character. The roll of DM would be played by a combination of myself (I'd be happy to cover all the mechanical stuff for things like combat and traps, but also open to letting my partner help/do it themselves) and my partner (who I'd like to help with NPC dialogue and decisions, and we'd split the characters between us).
We could either use existing adventure paths as a basis for the game, or work together and come up with something original. All I'm asking is that you have some familiarity with the game, at least in as far as I'd prefer not to have to teach my partner the system.
I have access to the following adventure paths: -The Rise of Tiamat -Princes of the Apocalypse -Out of the Abyss -Icewind Dale
If prompted, I could likely get any other, and would be more than willing to work with my partner on running any they have access to.
Everything after this is optional, but if enough people show interest I will prefer to work with partners who are (In order): - 18 or older - Willing to explore adult themes (horror, violence, drugs, sex, etc) - Willing to help with the mechanical aspects of the game - Experienced with the system - Have their own adventure path/plot ideas - Female - Wanting to play a female character
If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, or message me directly. Same with general interest. (Please keep all interest in 18+ subjects to PMs only)
I'd like to apologize to everyone. This was not as big a deal as I made it. I'd especially like to apologize to Dark, for making you feel bad in any way. I'm sorry. I was in the wrong. I won't make excuses, I'll just admit that I was the one at fault here, and hope everyone is willing to forgive me and continue playing the game.
@Dark Cloud Do whatever you want. I won't hold it against you or judge you for it. Resolve this however you feel will be more fun for the group. I've not even posted yet, so if you prefer, we can even just move past this entirely and say I never even cast the spell.
@Dark Cloud I'd appreciate it. Though, at this point, I've been made to make myself out to be a prick in front of the group to get what I would consider fair treatment. No taking that back, unfortunately.
No I understand that, but I didn't change it with the intentions to ensure the likelihood of the save. Don't argue I did because I didn't.
It's hard for me to believe you, when you don't inform us ahead of time that you suddenly decided to give this creature an entirely different stat block. We were never told that could happen, and if we had been, I'd have used a different spell while he was still prone.
@TGM I'm not even mad. Frankly, I'm disappointed. I like this character, and I like this group. I even like Dark as a DM. I just don't like the idea of the rules of the game sporadically changing ever time I want to do something the DM doesn't want me to. If you say you would want to play under a DM who did that to you, then I'd call you a liar.
@Dark Cloud after modifying the stat line to make it more likely the creature would make the save. If you did that to anyone else, especially during a combat against the creature, they would be livid. And rightfully so.
