Wrong and right are static, regardless of what the government says. I don't see your point in legalizing wrong in some cases, but not in others, nor do I see how you can clearly define what does and doesn't affect others.

And there our views differ. I believe the government should have every right to dictate what a person should do; that's the point of having a government. If it's not corrupt, a moral government should make moral choices. Murder is illegal because it's wrong. As is stealing and torture. Drugs are the same way.

It harms children, damages the lungs, and shrinks portions of the brain. Driving under the influence of marijuana also contributes to deaths and injuries.

I highly disagree. The states that have legalized it have shown otherwise, and I'm not supportive of allowing people to harm themselves or others. I'm sure Dark will yell "Natural Selection," but people just aren't intelligent enough to be left to their own devices. And because the default nature of humans is evil, they cannot be trusted.

I just think it would be a lot less financially straining to keep all these people with life sentences in jail if we stopped putting people in jail that shouldn't even be there. Marijuana, for example, is something I feel should not be a crime to possess or smoke. Putting people in jail for tax evasion is counterproductive, and alternative means of punishment should be utilized. There are a number o things that I feel we do wrong when it comes to this.

I'd support it more if they made it cost effective. As it is, it costs more than keeping a prisoner for life. If that were fixed, I would be 100% behind the death penalty.

There's a new code, David; it started as Morse Code, which I translated to ENTSL/EFKRK/DRTAR/AESTD/TRA. I think everybody else was just throwing it into a morse code decoder, because it wasn't working well, and I know why: the morse code was written with hyphens, en dashes, and em dashes, probably as a result of some auto-correcting word processor, so people got a lot of unknown characters and oddities. I resolved them to get that, but now I don't know where to go from there.
