There needs to be ways to deal with RPs when things don't go according to plans. Been in a few RPs where they have gone belly up because of various events (Not referencing the current incident in another RP I just joined).

I remember a super hero one that I joined when I came here that just stopped cause the GM wished so, and on another forum we literally ran out of stuff to do as we had no goal or motive. :P

As she sat there looking at the fresh cutlets that laid before her, the sound of pincers clicking caught her off guard. Jin looked up to see a Scizor standing over the meal she rejected, eyeing it off with both delight and an eagerness to devourer it as quickly as possible. Before she had a chance to know what was fully going on, the pokemon had begun to rip into the meat and consume it before her very eyes.

"Geez, you gotta be fast around here!" she thought to herself as she half heard the owner talking to her.

"I'm Gentry, of Leonias, and this is my partner Scizor. I suppose you are here in response to the Emperor's call as well?" @chexmix

"Huh, Gentry?" she spoke in surprise, turning towards the male, "Um, yeah..."

Carefully Jin pulled her hand away from Staryu and placed both arms on the table before her, crossing them at the wrists. It was an easy way to show that she ment no harm to the stranger as opposed to hiding one hand under the table with a knife firmly within it's grasps. She had done her part for relieving the tension in the room.

"Oh, by the way... I'm Jin," raising her hand up and giving a subtle wave and smile, "and that's my Staryu."

She motioned down to him and felt a wet pop on her fingertip as a couple of small bubbles floated their way up from where he was positioned. No doubt about it now, he was having a good dream.

"If you don't mind me asking, do you know any details about why are we here?"

I was also a part of this RP on the previous site, although not as involved as I am now. I can copy the speech from before, if that's what we decide is the best solution.

That's not a bad option. We might just have to wait to see what Dragon's decision is in the end, however once we get the ball rolling a bit I'm sure that we can build a pretty good story. It's the bonus point about a Pokemon style Roleplay, the world is pretty much pre-designed so we're just utilising our own ideas for motives and adventures. :)

I should be working on my follow-up post tonight.

I believe that would be the best approach. A few key points to 1 or perhaps 2 co-gms would make a difference, as well as not spoiling the fun. After all, it's his vision and modifying that can be a bit of a downer. I'm sure if Dragon has made the effort to export the rp to the guild, then he has got some plans already in the works.

I know for my character I have a few ideas for personal development, so I should be at this for a while at least. :)

I'm sorry to hear but I'm still willing to go on. We have a heap, I mean heaps of people that can help write the story. You don't have to take it all on your own.

Ah, I get ya now. :)

Only asking cause I've seen a few people in the past burn themselves out within the first few posts due to overcommitting themselves with complex characters or too many characters. I, myself did that once with a character too complicated that when it came to conflict I found it very hard to write.

@crow Not that it's my business, but I'm curious as to Why you're making 3 characters and how 2 of them have the ability to talk to Pokemon. I'm just a bit wary that you may burn yourself out with trying to control multiple and complex characters.

How about something similar, like Kirsten, or Kristy, or Kacey?
